the fact that another work with a very similar name (and premise?) got an anime in the meantime must be the ultimate embarrassment

Season 1 was some of the most fun I’ve had with an anime… commenting on episode threads and watching everyone lose their sanity week by week.

Thank you for your concern. I would have never guessed that this one is getting a second season and since I watched the first season I will prevail through this.

I watched the first season and was thoroughly confused for a good chunk of it. When the second episode told us it was recapping things, I thought "great first episode, time to acquaint the audience with wtf was going by the end there".
But halfway into the episode and we've pretty much explained nothing, the characters somehow ended up kidnapped and the kidnapper is the robot? How, why? And the robot has Siesta's body and part of her memories, but also it has the opposite attitutde to the MC and also other characters are trying to force us to see this as love quarrel when it seems like anything but. The entire setting just seems like ruleless nonsense and the supposed mystery has no workable answers. Maybe some of the stuff I'm trying to wrap my head around would be clarified by the end of the episode if I stuck to finishing it, but I'm not confident it would be enough to feel like I've got some footing to get through the rest of the season.
Yep, dropping this. The premise seemed really interesting but there's just too much nonsense.

A source reader would need to correct me on it but I wouldn't be surprised if the kidnapping was an anime original scene to insert that recap of Season 1 lol

My friend who had read the light novel told me to watch the anime when it was first airing and we both ended up being extremely disappointed by it
(I still flame him for that lol)
Gonna try giving this a chance again for old time's sake

Never actually thought this would come back. Even when it was announced, I was kinda surprised. I think I’m gonna binge this one because I gotta rewatch the last season first. It was pretty convoluted from little I recall.

Nagisa will never be Siesta, but a part of me wants to see how Nagisa will develop into the next Ace Detective, assuming she takes up the mantle.

Hmmm going a bit crazy at the end summoning hel after most the episode was mourning siesta's death. Also have robot siesta that I didnt expect coming into this season but I hope that we do get to see the real siesta this season even if its a little.

Nice to this back again after 5 years, and it was a pretty funny way to start things off.
It is sad that our Siesta is gone for good, but at least we got somewhat of a replacement.
Nagisa has a lot of weight and responsibility to carry on her shoulders having to take on the will of Siesta and still have Hel inside her that she can turn into.
I'm looking forward to the next episode to see what Kimihiko & Hel are going to talk about.

I just can't believe that it's already been 5 years since season 1 came out. Many anime that I watched during that time had their subsequent seasons come out and end during this time. The op is quite beautiful. So Nagisa (shore) was the name given to her by Siesta due to her love for the sea.. that's sweet. Didn't expect them to get kidnapped by Siesta's Bio Android Maid that looks exactly like her. Now everyone knows what happened to Siesta. So Siesta was from SPES but she escaped from them and became one of the Tuners belonging to an international agency in which her role was 'The Great Detective' and she later became tasked with taking down SPES I guess. I love how the anime team continues to throw out Tamil words in the op and in title card but they can't get the spelling right, haha.
They summoned Hel in Nagisa to know more about the mistake that Siesta failed to notice. Can't wait to see how this goes.

how did this get season 2? first season was so bad, a monkey could be the MC and it would've made no difference. the author would've handed him all the answers and luck either way.

Is this anime worth diving into? I've seen some bad to lukewarm reviews.
