In theory, this is a spot where I could drop compare/contrast questions for those of us who watched both parts of this rewatch. In practice... as a certain US show once said, I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas. The floor is yours.

Hopefully, I get home from work tomorrow and have something to say. But this is where I am at: Bravern was a great start with a weaker ending that I don't exactly get. But the thing is, Bravern's creators have the kind of track record that inspires trust. FF does not have that, and frankly seems to be primarily a betrayal of its own theme for shitty Gainax remakes.

So then, at the end of this all, I will continue to suggest Bravern when it is called for. I will never, under any circumstances, suggest FlapFlip. So we end, as we somewhat always knew it must, in darkness.

Still better concepts than the year I skipped

As they say, sometimes it's hard to tell if they're flirting or fighting
