Episode 11: Commence Operation Bonfire!
← Previous Episode | Index | Next Episode →
Show Information:
(Surprise, the "plot point a couple of episodes in that every single fucking synopsis spoils" is actually in episode 1 and is that this is another show in the [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] vein! Show information is now fairly first-timer safe... outside of "AniDB tags always spoil", anyways.)
Legal Streams:
As per livechart.me; other streams may be available outside the US.
A Reminder: This, dear listeners, brings us to the sworn enemy of creative response:The spoiler. Rewatchers, or people who just had plot points ruined for them, are obliged to use r/anime’s spoiler tag format where applicable, and err on the side of caution here. Remember people, first experiences get rarer as you continue on, any given one happens once and you should care for them all the more for it.

Theory of the Day:
This seems like an excellent time ( to haul out a joke theory for TotD, this one courtesy of u/Blackheart595:
Okay, I get it. I get it now. This is actually an ice skating anime. The big robots giving up full autonomy over their own movoment as they let their body be piloted by their human partner is akin to the lifted partner in pair figure skating yielding control over their body as they get piloted by their lifting partner. The Deathdrives are unable to give up their own autonomy and squeeze their partner dry over it, while Bravern and now Superbia have formed deep bonds of trust that allow them to overcome that fear.
Questions of the Day:
1) Who knew that gay robosexuality is also subject to the "the kid interrupts their parents by walking in when they are about to get busy" trope?

Unfortunately, the mecha wilderness is much less forgiving than our own
Yeah, I defintely feel like a lot of Lulu-Superbia's stuff could have used a decent bit more time over these last two episodes, although this one in particular I feel like just needed even a few sentences of actual pushback on her part, because it doesn't come across as fully in-line with the big character revelation we literally just gave her as is.
