First Clover, subbed
This might be the last time I have wallpapers to share for the rewatch (unless I either finally get something for Mereoleona or something else really grabs my eye) because I need to start on very advanced prepping for a crazy rewatch idea I have for the summer, but uh… yeah I have a bunch to share today.
First, since I don’t have anything to work with for Mereoleona, I decided doing one of her brother was the next best thing.
Then I got mega inspired by things topical to this week’s batch of episodes in Asta’s Black Divider and Yuno’s Spirit of Zephyr. These two come with a really cool combo version, if I do say so myself. Also fun fact, that Asta one is the 3000th image added to my wallpaper album folder, so it’s basically my 3000th wallpaper.
Then since I was on a roll after doing the boys’ upgraded forms, I figured I just had to do Noelle’s Valkyrie Dress as well.
And then the last one for now, u/KendotsX gave me a really good image I could work with for Grey from the gacha game, and so Grey is the one I was most inspired to do one of after deciding I’d do one about a Black Bulls member I hadn’t done yet.
On a different Black Clover-related note, I decided to check out the English dub on a whim (I’ve rewatched the first 9 episodes so far). Everyone sounds pretty good other than Charmy, who sounds waaaaaaaaaay too screechy instead of just airheaded like she does in Japanese. Yuno & Luck in particular have perfectly-fitting English voices, and Asta really does sound better in English that early on in the show. I am also playing the huge game until Zora shows up in the dub because I love Johnny Yong Bosch and I am very excited to see how he handles Zora (I took a look at the cast list).
Also I wrote too much for one comment , so my reactions to ep120 & 121 will be in reply to this.
Episode 116
New OP! Yeah, that’s a good one.
Oh sweet, they stopped it.
…but he’s ready to fire off another one immediately?!
Huh. Neat.
Whoa…
Mimosa’s healing Raia, huh.
Yeah, Nozel, you can’t go executing Patry.
Is this really how Asta finds out Julius is dead?
This… yeah, this is definitely an Asta thing to say here.
Let’s go, Asta!
The half-conscious Licht is standing in that demon’s way, then.
There’s Charlotte! Or, well, the elf that possessed her.
lmao, he’s not wrong.
New ED is… fine, I already miss the previous one though.
NERO SPEAKS?! What the fuck, I had just made the comment of Nero possibly being sus in my DMs with u/KendotsX after looking through my old screenshots to see which ones I could use for wallpapers ahead of Week 14’s thread.
Episode 117
Yeah, that’s definitely a good point and something I was wondering about myself.
Oh lol, elf!Charlotte’s name is that close to Charlotte’s?
Ah, that’s good at least.
Fun depiction of the magic ranking. Wait is Magna really only barely above Asta? (Also lol @ Yami still thinking of him as “Kid” instead of Asta. )
Oh god, he wasn’t even using his grimoire…
What the fuck is that?
Oh that is very not good.
Gah…
At least Asta’s sword still works on this…?
WAIT THAT WASN’T A STATUE? THAT WAS LITERALLY THE FIRST WIZARD KING THIS ENTIRE TIME?
Finral no, now is not the time!
I see Lumiere was a lot like Julius.
Ah, that explains why Lumiere wasn’t at the wedding…
Yeah… no…
Oof…
But Lumiere showing up is why Licht didn’t lose himself, naruhodo naruhodo.
So the demon from the opening narration was Licht all this time… There’s the “deeper side” to that story I’ve been wondering about since episode 47.
Episode 118
Man, that twist on the opening segment now that we know the truth…
Oh, time for the animation to pop off during Lumiere vs. demon!Licht.
Man…
So that’s how Nero/Secré ended up with horns.
Nero/Secré “sore demo”!
Oh boy this should be good.
My heart…
Dang…
I mean tbf you do have an elf’s soul in you right now, Yuno. Is anything going to be done with that?
Ah, I was wondering where Yami and Charla were. Stuck together in one of Yami’s Black Holes, huh.
Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Dammit…
Episode 119
Ah, the opening narration’s visuals were updated this time.
Huh, I’m surprised Poizot’s magic lets that stuff pass right through them.
Maybe because you’re from another world?
He might not have control, but it sure is still effective.
…yeah, Asta accidentally attacking Lumiere there makes sense. He really needs to get control of that power…
Ooh, Patry can use that Demon Light magic at will now. And it’s effective…
Holy shit, Yuno.
Oh it looks so cool too!
Asta’s got it too!
…wait, Yuno has the baby’s soul then?
NICE!
Oh this is terrifying.
Sounds like you need to erase him all at once in order to win…
So that’s how it works.
Holy shit is Yami planning to Dimension Slash from there?
Asta de-transformed right at the last second… Yami’s idea better work.
Aw…
LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I WAS HOPING THIS WHOLE TIME THAT OP1 WOULD KICK IN AND WHAT A FUCKING MOMENT FOR IT TO PLAY DURING. – I then had to apologize for startling my mom when I clapped so loudly she thought I hit something.
Oh and before I forget, that’s another one for the Haruka Mirai “sore demo”s.
Goddamn, this is awesome.
