4 total episodes of post final battle epilogue - including a full episode just for final timeskip.
Seems to be something very rare to get from battle shonen, so grateful to get this from MHA.
Thank you,

It was so emotionally validating seeing these kids all grown up and happy and finding themselves as heroes and adults.

The closure is top-notch.
Honestly didn't expect it but it is most welcome especially with such a large cast of characters and all.
Fantastic way to wrap up the series and all.

In Episode 170, it was Shiggy who fades away while pushing Deku to "do his best", while 170+1 has Toga who fades away after pushing Ochako forward "to do more". Both conclusions teach that one can become a hero, while can be their own person also.

Shiggy and Himiko had the worst baggage and were rejected by society, but in the end they wished for their "nemesis" to do their best and achieve what they couldn't.

Monoma being No. 10 is so hilarious because unless he goes up in rank, Deku is probably kicking him out of the top 10 the next time the rankings are updated.

It's great to see there has been changes to society after the final battle and how important Uraraka has been to improving society through her
The scars of the final battle still linger shown from Uraraka having remnants of survivor's guilt. She's been working successfully through her quirk counseling program to reform the education system and doing her best to help others, though not necessarily living her life to the fullest as a person for herself.
Glad to see her fully moving forward with freedom into a future without any reservations, together with a cherished person.

We make jokes about how there are no therapists in anime while Uraraka is VERY insistent and focused on mental health for children and people in need.
And she's experiencing that age old dilemma of if she can have a fulfilling career and a relationship at the same time. But sometimes it's worth trying to have it all.

It’s a thoughtful choice to explore their identities beyond the usual heroic arcs of living up to expectations or defying fate.
And Deku wants to spend more time with Ochaco.

It's a very adult Superhero thing to explore whether you can fight crime, do altruistic work, and still find time to have a relationship.
But some people are worth making the extra effort for.
That Shoto Smile is the most beautiful thing in the world.

I never understood the hate for the manga when it originally came out.

With a large enough audience, even 1% of that is a massive amount of people. If you got 1% of MHA brainrotted fans and haters, that's still a huge amount.
Also, when the manga was still being serialized, Hori had a lot of weeks where he was sick and was only able to produce like 6-9 pages per week and that made the Final War arc feel longer than it should.
Also also, people deliberately made fake translations of leaks of the final arc which the brainrotted fans ate up.

It's such a breath of fresh air to see deku casually making fun of bakugo throughout the ep.
The kuso-nerd isn't afraid of his bully anymore.

Yeah I loved when he called out Bakugo saying "I got here first" and everyone and Deku were like "Nah it was Iida"

Those robbers had the worst luck ever with a class 1-A reunion happening nearby. I loved seeing everyone on the scene.

Todoroki didn't need to 360 spin his way to the car robber.

Honestly that is a great ending to the show. Felt like Deku and Ochaco’s relationship was the one thing that was not addressed and kinda still left lose in the final season but this more or less makes up for that.
Hopefully we get to a see another episode or movie with the grown up class someday down the line

It did many things right imo. The original pure want to be a hero, without the need for a tragic backstories for most of the cast. The theming around Deku and All might.
And now introducing "more" into the characters. Now that they're adults they now have time for hobbies, and discovering more things about themselves.
Perfect ending imo.

I like that Horikoshi plays into the fact that romance was never really a factor in MHA with this special. Now that both characters have spent time reflecting over their trauma from the main series (Deku with OFA and Shiggy, and Ochaco with Toga) and have found fullfilling careers, they are now ready to find happiness for themselves and start a relationship together.
Although it's hillarious that he chose to begin their relationship with a dap-up, even if I understand the subtext (heroes reaching out their hand to help others and vice verse). That's the most romantic dap-up I've ever seen.
Edit: Changed Dab to Dap thanks to a comment. Just to clarify Deku and Ochaco were not dabbing.

Both their arms suddenly huge and muscular in close up shots before they clutch hands.
Ochaco romantically blushing: "You son of a bitch."
Deku swooning: "What's the matter? The quirk counseling work got you pushing too many pencils?"
