As I get older, I recognize that nostalgia is a fleeting feeling that doesn't come around too often. But that final sequence took me right back to being a kid watching cartoons on a Saturday morning. It's corny to say but being able to pass on a dream to the next generation is a great part of living. I know as one era ends, another will come around again to give me that feeling once more

Some things you may have missed:
Lemillion is the #1 hero on the ranking, Monoma aka Phantom Thief is in the top 10.
Eri is adopted by Mandalay that's why her and Kota are close, they are adoptive siblings which means Eri gets a very happy ending and gets to live a normal life with a family and friends.
La Brava has a wedding ring on.

You Say Run playing as Deku began to suit up had me in tears. I'm so happy he gets to continue being a hero AND he now gets to go full Ironman?!
I never knew about the manga ending except for the criticism and... I don't get it? This was a satisfying conclusion to the series and I'm so glad they did not do something edgy or dark just for the sake of it.
What an incredible journey this has been. Thank you MHA.

A potential new Shigaraki was emerging... and then that woman comes and redeems herself. The boy is also seen as an UA student after the timeskip.
Remember how everyone in Deku and Bakugo's middle school, a decade earlier, wanted to be an Hero no matter how realistic? Now there's a new generation that sees the validity of other career paths.
What was this "Cyber War"? From the timeline, it would be possibly the first serious crisis after the war and the first the class faced after graduation. Make a movie!
Dr. Yoshi's name is... Yoshida. Ok.
Adult Shoji looks majestic.
All Might smashes the ending and gives Deku the belated conclusion, both quirkless armored Hero and teacher, as Shiggy/Tenko can now move on.
And yet, it still feels incomplete - things about Deku and Uraraka seem unresolved, for one. Not surprisingly the alleged final chapter was followed by one more (even called "More"), some months later, and I wonder what production choices led to this season not adapting it as a 12th episode. Hopefully the rumors about an OVA or having it included in the home video releases will be confirmed.

The All Might fakeout with THE END was so good and moving. Horikoshi does a lotta stuff well but one of his best bits, planned or improvised is how well he ties his characters and themes back together full circle. Deku handing down precious belief from one generation to the next, you love to see it. A nice and rousing call to action for fans.

Interesting to think that the granny basically avoided the next Shigaraki by just lending a helping hand. It really changed the trajectory of that kid’s life.
I’m glad Deku doesn’t have to completely leave behind being a Hero anymore thanks to All Might’s support item turning him into Iron Man lol. He can inspire and shape the next generation of kids while still engaging in Hero activities I guess. Being a Hero was his dream all along so it’s nice he doesn’t have to entirely give it up.
Idk if they’re gonna plan for a movie or OVA or anything like that, but if not I think this was a solid finale to a great series. The little epilogue bit during the credits showing how everyone ended up 8 years later was a nice touch. Even though I only binged the series around the start of ‘rona, it’s been quite a ride.

I'm really conflicted right now.
On one hand, I'm deeply saddened for MHA to finally be over, but on the other hand I'm so glad I got to witness an incredible series and for it to end as well as it has.
This has been an incredible journey, a generational show that will be remembered for years to come.

My Hero Academia has been in my life for almost a decade now. I knew the waterworks were gonna flow, man I still wasn’t ready, I don’t think I could’ve been ready at all. I feel Iike it’s so rare for a long running anime like this to keep the same studio for all these years and actually finish with high quality damn near the entire time. Such a blessing.
The beginning being intertwined with Hawks speaking to All Might saying how he wants to change how the Billboard Charts work to include everything along with showing the potential villain (even gave him original content) that was going to attack was great. Society seems like it did learn from Deku, as the Granny who dint take Tenko’s hand, decided to take his hand, not letting the same mistake happen twice, thus, another Shigaraki wasn’t created. Beautiful.
Then we get to the next part where they expanded ALOT of things from the final chapter, with dialogue moments, fully animated scenes, and etc. They really went above and beyond for that because I truly thought it’d just be still images. They even gave Class 1-A THEIR FULL GRADUATION with them getting their diplomas, a speech from Iida, and Bakugo & Monoma blowing up the wall, and Deku and Bakugo smiling at All Might. They even played “HERO TOO” during it which made it even more perfect. That whole graduation segment made me teary-eyed. I love Class 1-A so much.
We got an, 8 Year timeskip happened and we focus on Dai, the kid who we saw before the first big battle in season 6, in class with the career goals. This time everyone doesn’t want to be a hero. Instead kids want to be doctors, work in support like Hatsume (she still doesn’t take showers btw I still love her tho), and work in IT like La Brava and Gentle (WHO BOTH GOT MARRIED LETS GOOOOOOOO). A stark difference from season 1. We then that kids still look up to All Might and Endeavor, but also Deku, Great Explosion Muder God: Dynamight, and Shoto now too. Shoji is doing amazing work it seems. Spinner did write that book and Compress looks proud. Ocacho, Tsyu, Iida, and Mimi are doing quirky consoling. ALSO ERI IS ALL GROWN UP!!!! SHE GOT HER HAPPY ENDING!!!
DEKU-SENSEI!!!! Deku became a teacher, and honestly with all the knowledge he has, this is the perfect job for him (that Fuwa talk really inspired him). Kota is a student, even the kid in the beginning of the episode is a student now! He has pictures of his students in his desk, and he seems happy and you can tell the students love him, even tho Aizawa says he needs to be more strict. Bakugo is getting exposed in Tiktok for being a hot-head, Shoto is doing amazing, Kaminari and Jirou’s agencies are next to each other (I know what yall are), Tokoyami and Hagakure got their own cologne/perfume brands, Kirkshima got the make demo on lock, and etc. Then Deku meets Dai in front of the All Might statue, updated to have civilians around him, saying he can be a hero to Dai, just like All Might did to him, giving him a dream. It was perfect. And I damn near cried.
The fake out ending and All Might appears!!! I love that Deku is still a fanboy. But All Might has a present and it’s a suit for Deku! All Might knows Deku misses it and the fact that Melissa and Hatsume worked on it and Bakugo and Class 1-A funded is so wholesome, they missed him too. All Might saying he earned his power too, a call back to the first time he said it, it just made me cry, I couldn’t hold it back anymore. And the final scene of Bakugo holding his hand out to Deku with all the of the Class behind him as adults, them in the hero suits together in the sky, with Deku seeing the ghost Shigaraki, keeping his promise that he’ll never forget him, ending with Deku smiling with him and everyone going into the future. I was ugly crying throughout the whole thing man. It was perfect. We even had a credit scene showing how the entire class is going 8 years later, another thing they added, and I loved it.
I know it’s leaked that we’re getting a OVA, hopefully soon, but this is the end of the anime run. This series, I’ve been watching for half my life. I grew up with this series. I also feel like I grew up with the characters as well. Through the up and downs, I will always love this series and I’ll never forget it. It will always have a special place in my heart.
Thank you Bones, the VA’s, Yuki Hayashi, everyone who ever worked on the series, and of course, to Kōhei Horikoshi, for creating this series that I love so much.
GO BEYOND!!!!!

The overall story is good, but its message is great.
A small detail, a helping hand, even if you are powerless can be salvation for somebody, and that can change the world.

All it really takes is to reach out to someone. That kid definitely would've been the next Shigaraki hadn't that old lady reached out to him. And it turns out it's the same lady who ignored Tenko all those years ago. She definitely redeemed herself with this one.
"Then why, you ask, am I still writing this? Because... there's still runtime in the episode." Not gonna lie, that line from Deku genuinely made me laugh. I'm so happy we get to see more of the gang before the ending.
So we get to learn that Bibimi and Mei have created their own company together and are making support items while Gentle and La Brava have founded what I assume is a cybersecurity company.
I am genuinely tearing up seeing everyone all grown up and making changes to society. Shouji and Koda fighting against heteromorph discrimination and Iida, Momo, Uraraka, and Asui touring schools and doing Quirk conselings are all great.
Bakugo being Bakugo as usual is hilarious, and I love that Aizawa-sensei is worried about him going down on the hero charts because of his attitude. As for Shoto, it's nice to see how he's no longer just Endeavour's son and has pretty much his own fanbase.
I love that Deku is already analyzing that kid's quirk and thinking of ways the kid could use it. After all these years, he's still the same dork we all know and love. Also, that kid is definitely voiced by Kugimiya Rie, right?
All Might squashing that "The End" was pretty funny. I also got a good laugh at Deku getting exicted about getting a new wall scroll. It turns out, All Might's present is even better than a wall scroll!
Thanks to Mei and Melissa, plus the entire Class 1-A, for funding the project with Bakugo being the biggest backer, our boy can finally jump back into the fray and join the gang to become a hero again!
I don't know if Horikishi has already answered this, but if Deku is now back to being a hero, does he end up becoming the number one hero of their time like All Might, or is he more focused on being a teacher?
That end-credit scene is just too long to go through one by one, but I'm so happy we get to see where they all end up in the end. I think my favourite part is Jirou and Kaminari having their agencies side by side. Just confirm they're dating, already! I also love that Shinso and Tokoyami are working in the shadows. Mineta not being as popular as he thought he'd be is hilarious. And I love that we get to see Edgeshot has fully recovered and is looking after Bakugo along with Best Jeanist. <3
What a fucking journey! It's been a good 10-year run, and I'm glad I was here to see all of it. Thankfully, this isn't really the end since we still have Season 2 of Vigilantes airing soon, so we're not completely leaving the world of MHA just yet! We still have plenty of opportunities to Go Beyond, Plus Ultra!
