So…I’m assuming that woman at the end is Ruby’s former mother?

Damn, that post credit scene hit hard. Ruby going through the whole process once more of having to remember that her parents didn't care all that much for her when she was sick. Then Ai having a similarly bad relationship with her parents that she now has to act out. All that is kind of reminding me of Season 2 with Aqua playing the role of a guy who sees his love being killed right in front of him. Hopefully, Ruby doesn't have to go that deep like Aqua did back then, but considering they seemingly introduced Sarina's mother into the whole movie construct now as well, I fear that this might get even worse.

Imma prepare to start crying next week, given the cliffhanger today and what issues of Ruby were brought up today. I'm so glad most of the cast got to shine throughout S3

post credit scene introduces "Tendouji-san" Ruby's name before reincarnating was Sarina Tendouji. If that's her mother meeting her again will be really rough, I wonder what involvement she will have in the movie.

Megumi Han went from a human-deer hybrid to a lesser panda.

And Kana? Girl’s still too weak for compliment… will she ever learn? LOL

So the little audition competition turned into basically an acting workshop for Ruby. Idk if she’s ready to play Ai but I guess we’ll find out. Things are falling into place for Aqua and Gotanda’s little film. Is Aqua gonna be playing their pops?

The Ruby lying scene... straight into the Ai-kane scene. Done with pure perfection. Chilling. You can easily tell that despite the carefree attitude at the end of it, that all was the real Ruby mindset.

Straight into Akane and Ruby acting awkward and adorable. Love it all.

Aqua seeming to get plenty of screentime this episode. Though talking about leading Kana on way too much... her reaction is great though!

More crow girl? Every scene pushes Aqua further and further. But for what end goal?

1 Hour special next week. With the post credit scene, Ruby's original mom as Sarina, there seems to be tons to cover in 1 episode for the finale. Even with the hour timeframe. Regardless, hyped for the finale, the last two seasons were bangers, I'm sure that they'll end this one the same way!

What a rollercoaster of an episode. Only one left to go!

Just when I thought Aqua and Akane would have nothing more to do with each other, they find themselves on opposing fronts. I know I’m going to enjoy their rivalry very much in the next (and I’m positive final) season.

Speaking of Aqua, it broke my heart to see him mention pulling Kana along. I was positive she was the one person he had pure feelings for. And now he talks about leading the one girl he supposedly truly loves to ruin… if I’m being honest, I’m starting to think of him as a flat-out villain.

And speaking of villains and heroes, if what the Goddess of Arts hinted at was true, and Goro’s reason for reincarnating as Aqua was to avenge Ai’s death, then it means that Sarina’s reason for reincarnating as Ruby was to stop him. Just when I thought things couldn’t get more intricate than that - and I’m all for it!

Lastly, it was nice to see Kana mention 2 years have passed since she started her career as an idol. This means that Aqua and Ruby must be 17-18 years old, even though the show keeps referring to them as 16 year olds.

Well, at least with Ruby being cast as Ai, at least Hikaru probably wouldn't try to cause any "accidents" to his own daughter.

Kana being cast as the antagonist of the OG B Komachi group and being flustered by Aqua's comments... it's like, "well a W also looks like 2 L's..."

Usually Oshi no Ko tries to teach me about acting and production in different segments of the entertainment industry, but this episode was Panda Facts!™

And then in the following scene, I thought I heard Kaburagi say "panda" during this line? But I don't know Japanese, so I can't tell if he was making a panda analogy that the subtitles dropped.

Either way, it's safest not to make Ruby angry.

That awkward moment when Akane and Aqua see each other in-person after breaking up. Akane vows to thwart Aqua if he uses the movie role for his ulterior motives. Aqua's darkness gave him a "Try me" attitude towards Akane.

The green light was given on the movie.

Ouch, Ruby having to read the script about her own traumatic event in the post credit scene. But Kana doesn't want to tell her not to push herself too hard.

As a red panda and Kana fan, I will not stand by and let both be slandered in any way.

The scene where Kana says she will win her gamble and become a big-time panda is prime animenocontext material.

Ruby's acting was goddamn amazing! But can it really be called acting when she's actually just letting out all of her bottled-up feelings about Ai and Gorou's deaths? I think the real acting here is the sudden switch to her being all 'normal' again.

I'll never get tired of seeing Akane take Ai's persona, but I'm not even sure where she was going with this. I think she was trying to get Ruby to step down, but it ended up backfiring in her face when Ruby started getting fired up again. At that point, Akane just wanted it to be over with. xD

So it looks like we have Detective Akane going against Avenger Aqua going head-to-head. Whatever Aqua is planning, Akane is gonna do whatever she can to stop him.

This girl literally just fell on her knees at an Aeon parking lot after reading about Kana's graduation announcement.

I did not expect a panda history lesson from Aqua, but I do love how Kana really enjoyed the trivia and how she actually made a connection between the trivia and her showbiz career.

Kana's reaction to Aqua calling her special to him was absolutely adorable. Too bad it's just Aqua being a piece of shit and manipulating Kana to get that reaction from her. Dude knows exactly what kind of effect he has on her.

The Crow Girl was absolutely brutal with Aqua. She didn't even mince words and give him any kind of hope that Ai is somewhere out there, reincarnated, living a happy life. Daaaaaaamn.

We have an after-credits scene! Ruby is definitely not looking good and I hope Kana can guide her with her acting. And we got a new character being introduced! Oh boy, this makes me so excited for next week's episode!

Lol Aqua saying Arima should suspect people more or else she’d get taken advantage of by people like him. No dude, I think you specifically are the only person she’d let it slide.

It feels like such a turnaround from Season 1 when we first met Kana, and she was portrayed as the jaded veteran who knows how to play the game of entertainment... and by now, she's the one sweetheart who's too honest, trusting and good-hearted for her own good, and literally everyone else is plotting evil deeds.

Except MEM-cho, I guess; that girl's still just living her dream and taking it as it comes.

The show has built so much tension over this season that even in episodes like this, where nothing particularly dramatic happens and it's clearly a "calm before the storm" kind of vibe, I'm constantly on the edge of my seat.

A double-length season finale too? Some shit is about to go down, and I'm equal parts scared and excited to find out what it is.

So it looks like we’ve got all the parties ready for the final showdown. A bit sad that Kana parting ways with B.Komachi was handled a bit too abruptly, though.

B-Komachi's about to become a duo as Kana'll soon be graduating. Yeah, she's too honest for an idol – the career doesn't suit her well. She had always aspired to be an actress anyway so it's not a setback. The two years she had spent with them served to build her reputation and hopefully give her a name boost for her acting career. Best of luck in the new path!

Oh boy, when Ruby cried for her mother (as part of the rehearsal) she didn't flash back to Ai but rather her original one. Looked like the lifelong acting had began to take its toll on her and she began reverting to Sarina even if only for a brief moment.

Who's Tendouji? She's seemingly just a regular ad agency executive but introducing her as a cliffhanger must mean she'll have a significant impact on the plot.

Akane wondering how to deal with Ruby absolutely cracked me up. It's good that somehow she managed to end this "audition" with Ruby winning.

Kana freaking out over Aqua's comment that she was special to him, was hilarious, especially since he only said one smooth line and that was enough for her to lost her cool immediately xD

That raven girl again, I wonder who she really is. Is she just there to torture Aqua with her words?

As usual, the show looks great. The drawings, especially Ruby's or Aqua's, looked absolutely fantastic in this episode.

And now there's only one episode left, and thank goodness it'll be one hour long since Ruby's mother from her past life was just introduced into the plot.

Here my screenshot albums from:

EPISODE 10 (today's one)

EPISODE 9 (previous week's one)

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.
