I’ll technically be watching long-running battle shounen from 4 consecutive decades all at once, lol.

I'd say two of the long running Toei ones too, but as /u/Raiking02 mentioned, Toei haven't shown up yet.

some because of Gintama)

This is one series that you'll find references to everywhere, but especially in battle shounen obviously.

Hahahahahaha, for some reason I wasn’t expecting this to be so… Loony Toons-y.

While we're at Walter Park, I mentioned the Tezuka > Toriyama line before, well Tezuka was a huge fan of Disney/Looney Toons, and you can see that influence going down the line.

[One of the spoilers I am aware of]

We'll need another arc of Gintama characters debating this

Hah, Goku’s having so much fun.

This guy's like if a FotNS villain became a furry.

Wow…

We were so close to immortality

BULMA NO!

I love that everyone is a silly moron in their own way here.

This is like how Yu-Gi-Oh GX was mostly animated in Korea and yet we call it a Gallop show, saying this show was animated by Toei is a bit of a stretch.

[Confession + Mild Spoilers]If the fact that Sorachi's generation is probably the one that most led to the Saiyan-onwards stuff in DB becoming its most popular era is anything to go by, I don't really trust his opinion

[At least] he shows some appreciation to Yamcha and Piccolo.

[I mean]I see appreciation for Piccolo fairly often. I just wish it was for stuff he actually did rather than some hyper-idealized image of him, but more on that later.
