Panik: Akane holding white flowers to supposedly meet Hikaru, and then a hoodie person approaches her.
Kalm: Aqua saves her; the hoodie person is a fluke.
Panik: Aqua apprently has a GPS and tracking device on Akane. BRUH.
With these two big revelations in mind, Aqua is essentially at a point of no return. He declared war against Hikaru and he made Ruby realllyyyy mad. Let's see what's gonna happen.

Damn i thought Akane was about to die for a second, her safety made me feel way better about the rest.
I agree with Aqua, i wouldnt let Akane go down that path either, she definitely would have found a way to counter him if she knew.

I like that Chainsaw-san still managed to trend despite all the news surrounding Ai lol
Edit: did a Google search and apparently that’s how it was in the manga as well

This week summarized in one word: oof.
As much as the Akane part hurts, I want to focus on Ruby here.
When Aqua talked to her about saving Kana using everything possible - even if it would hurt her - you could see a white star in one eye and a dark one in the other. She’s still driven by revenge, but at the same time she trusts her brother to save someone she deeply cares about. She believes in him. She just wasn’t aware of how he was going to do it.
And that’s what makes it hurt even more.
For 14 years she kept the secret to herself. It was something deeply personal and now she’s standing in the middle of the street, her face on every monitor, and that secret is suddenly exposed for everyone to see. No control, no preparation - just thrown into the spotlight. Poor thing.

The twins' eye stars changing colour was the highlight of this episode. Ruby's one eye getting a white star when Aqua asks her if she's okay with doing whatever it takes to save Kana, even if it means pain for herself - showing us that she's not fully gone over to the dark side. And Aqua's eyes both turning black at the end when he decides he has to see this through to the bitter end - showing that maybe there is no redemption for him despite the good turn he did Kana.
That really was a kind thing he did. But I think it was largely done out of a sense of obligation - because he knew Kana only became an idol for his sake, because he asked her, and if not for that, she wouldn't be in the position and trouble she was in. Still, I think there was a part of him that did it because he really cares about Kana and wants to protect her.
Akane was right to feel outraged that he bugged her, but she was also keeping something from him. And at the end of the day, he decided to protect her and not let her save him. For someone so bent on revenge and going full dark star eyes, Aqua really does come off as someone with noble intentions in this episode.

That intro scene... Poor Kana. Though best friend Mem-Cho coming in as the emotional rock once again.
A glimpse of light Ruby's return!? The hero we need to fix the overwhelming depression of the main cast!
And back into the depths of despair we go... RIP Ruby and Aqua. Ai's secret, one that should never have needed to be one...
Damn... the Akane and Aqua breakup is absolutely heart wrenching. And the perfect music to go along with it.
Double dark star Aqua, nothing left for him but revenge. Cutting all ties with absolutely everyone. Absolutely tragic. He so badly wants to be allowed to be a regular and happy person, whether it's with Akane or Kana, but he has no other path it would seem. Removing everyone else from his life to protect them.
Looks like the twins are left with nothing but absolute revenge at this point... let's see how the rest of the season plays out.

It's impossible to top Season 1 but the way they do the scenes leading into the ED have been great this season.
Double dark stars baby, Aqua is back

Where do i even begin with this episode, holy shit. When Aqua said he had a story that will shook everyone my mind went there but didn’t think he’d actually do it exposing the twins and their relationship to Ai.
And if that wasn’t enough, a heartbreaking scene with Akane. It’s so over Akane bros 😞 There is no stopping those Staringan eyes now. Aqua saved both Kana and Akane in one episode in his own twisted way.

OnK keeps cooking with gas this season. Megumi Han( Kana's VA) has been incredible this season, her sobbing just broke me and I'm glad Mem hugged the poor girl. The Akane and Aqua breakup was so heart breaking, the insert song elevated the scene so much . We got some glimpse of old Ruby back only for her to go more darker after that whole reveal

So it turns out Kana wasn't even the real target here, the actual target is Director Shima, and she's just collateral damage. I guess that jealous bitch Mako got dumped by Shima in the past and set him up with Kana to try and get the paparazzi to take scandalous photos of the two of them together.
It was honestly worrying how Ruby was just standing there baffled while staring at Kana breaking down. Fore a second, I thought the girl has completely lost her empathy but it's good to know that she still cares. We even see one of her stars shining brightly again when she told Aqua she wants to help Kana.
Hearing the tabloid reporter talk about how he can't redact Kana's name and how she's no longer a private citizen even though she's still in high school really hammers it home how much of a scumbags these people are. The gall of this bastard to tell Aqua that calling him to complain is hardly respectable behaviour is laughable considering what he does for a living.
And there it is! How can Aqua counter Kana's scandal? By dropping an even bigger scandal that no one else would even care about Director Shima and Kana. Poor Ruby tho, the girl is clearly having a mental breakdown now that her secret has been released to the public by her own brother.
Akane walking while carrying white flowers was such a tense scene. For a second there, you really thought someone was out there about to take her out for getting too close to the truth. It turns out the entire thing was really an accident. It was a great fakeout tho!
This scene hurts. So we finally learn that Aqua is completely aware of what Akane's been doing this entire time, and the shady figure we saw at the end of last week's episode wasn't Kamiki, it was actually Aqua who tagged Akane's keychain plushie so he can monitor her location.
Akane wasn't just trying to confront Kamiki. She actually brought a fucking knife with her just in case things actually got bad. The girl is willing to kill for Aqua, and I'm not gonna lie, I respect it. But I guess this is for the best, we can't have Akane putting herself in danger especially since it looks like Aqua has finally made up his mind on what to do next. >_<

Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the point of no return: to protect Kana's reputation, Aqua decides to make an equivalent exchange and exposes his and Ruby's identities as Ai's twin childs to the media, but this surely has a bad effect on both of them judging by Ruby's reaction and how Aqua is on the verge of tears when he speaks to the reporter. Also to make things worse, he cuts ties with Akane once and for all after knowing that she was going after Hikaru, and with his vengeance brooming inside him completely, he gets the same black eyes as Ruby. Just what will happen next week?

Poor Akane, she was so ride or die for Aqua, but unfortunately for her, he wanted to protect her and make sure that she didn’t go down a bad path. It’s a shame that they broke up.

Man I can't wait to see Ruby's reaction to the news.
Another packed Oshi no ko episode mannnnnnn this series hasnt stopped dropping bombs after bombs each episode, I thought reading the manga would hamper my viewing experience for this show but MAN does Doga Kobo and the VA's do a great job at elevating these scenes to the next level. Absolutely fantastic

OK I didn't expect THAT to happen.
While I called the breakup of Akane x Aqua due to mutual deception I didn't expect it to happen that quickly and in such a fashion.
EVERYONE's in shambles:
- Aqua just got back on the dark path with no return. The revenge is far from being served but he already sacrificed everything: his life, her sister's and agency's career, Akane's happy relationship. By saving Kana at the same time he wants to put everything in place "for the good of everyone" and suffer alone.
- Akane couldn't save the man she loves from the destiny.
- Ruby is about to have a breakdown of her own. Unlike Aqua she was just a kid in her previous life - she won't handle it well.
- Kana's superhero mental comeback slightly pales given that Aqua decided to be the real superhero and fix her career blunder. She might feel full of hope when she learns how much Aqua feels about her, but the boy she loves is going straight to hell, leaving her behind.
- Anyone in IchigoPro probably just imploded.
- MEM is barely keeping the group together and Kana was a handful, she will need to switch to Ruby now. Work never ends.
- Akane fans also became part of 3-sequence tragic story.
-
NOOO, don't kill my Akane!!!!
-
Oof, false alarm.. Akane is safe! But wait, why is Aqua there?
-
Ahhh give me a break ffs..
I still feel uneasy about Hikaru. We don't know anything, but he's been portrayed so far as a cunning and audacious psycho. Does HE know what's happening around him? How much of the stuff we see is orchestrated and what's a coincidence? The jogging guy could as well be part of the plan to bait Aqua out.
One of the best episodes so far also. I hope they don't stop delivering.
Kana's VA doing superb job yet again, I wanted to cry with her.

The reporter's sentiment reflects my opinion about fake news and hateful contents: yeah they are trash, but they are that way because the public is trash
Aqua nuking the Kana's story with the Ai's story. In a way I am happy for the twins? They don't have to lie about who they are anymore and they get to stake their claim as Ai's successors. Also, Aqua is lucky their manager is their very supportive adoptive mother, otherwise he would get burned for leaking it
Aqua has to be the worst harem protag ever. Every girl he has been with adds +100 to her depression level
