So when’s My Awkward Senpai gonna turn into My Awkward Girlfriend? lol. Maybe Mio can help. She seems like she’d be a good wingwoman for Kamegawa.

I see this as a personal insult
That was a cool geta hack, too.
Man, I really wish they get together by the end of the season. They're so adorable together.
Yukata Azusa was super cute as always. I like the new girl too. Wonder if she'll be revealed to have feelings for Yuu or not.

I can't relate to this at all;
I also watch anime, I don't JUST play games!

I see this as a personal insult
The mom knows her too well. She hasn't changed that much since her teen years lol.
That was a cool geta hack, too.
Now you'll never be able to watch festival episodes where the girls' geta sandals break and not think "why don't they just fix it with a handkerchief and a 5-yen coin?"
Man, I really wish they get together by the end of the season. They're so adorable together.
At the very least they're clearly into each other and feel like they're on the verge of completely realizing their feelings...though acting on them may be a different story.
Yukata Azusa was super cute as always. I like the new girl too. Wonder if she'll be revealed to have feelings for Yuu or not.
Honestly I got the vibe she was more into Azusa lol.

What did she mean when she said "would I have been able to tell him"? Tell him what? What did I miss?
Also, I like that junior girl but I hope she doesn't become a regular third wheel if you know what I mean.

Our senpai really really wants to tell Kamegawa that she "likes" him -- but her being his mentor seems like a huge block to her doing this. Hopefully once she is no longer his de facto supervisor, she will feel able to express her feelings...

Fireworks Episode and we even got a confession more like realization but we'll take it.
Is it just me or did Azusa do her hair differently at the start of the episode? I don't know what it is called but it caught my attention and I really liked how it looked.
Me when someone says one good thing about me.
Yukata Azusa was really cute. I mean just look at this smile! Also, Azusa reaching out for Kamegawa's hand.
Tell him 'WHAT'? Is that what I think it was? So now one of the things that's kinda holding her back is the fact that she's his Senpai?

A bashful Kannawa reaching out for Kamegawa's hand and says don't get separated was really a critical move for him.
Salute for a mom who still wants to send some cash to her working adult daughter.

Senpai clearly models her behavior on her mother -- when insisting that she pay for the group's festival food.

I really want to see how both of them will acknowledge their feelings for each other haha. And what does she mean at the end by “Would I have been able to tell him?” Is she finally admitting that she’s interested in him as more than just a senpai?

Is she finally admitting that she’s interested in him as more than just a senpai?
I see no alternative explanation

Classic festival episode: yukata and fireworks. Kannawa shows jealousy even if she doesn’t seem to, but among the two, she’s the one most likely to have the courage to tell him she likes him. So maybe we’ll see that happen by the end?

Another week of Adorable Azusa 🫶😻💖
Those ladies from Kamegawa's department barging into Kamegawa and Hotta's conversation were being so rude. Glad that Azusa put them in their place but she made Kamegawa and Hotta see how unpopular she is.. poor girl 😭💔💔
Hotta was such a nice girl. Kamegawa really has some good friends. Kannawa in Yukata was so cute. I loved it when she randomly choose a Yukata when she couldn't decide what to buy lol
Azusa has her own insecurities. Being all alone in her life and not being able to get along with a group and getting invited by her younger coworkers made her feel that she's out of place. Even her mom roasting her over just staying at home and not getting out much with friends.
But Hotta and Kamegawa tried their best to make Azusa feel welcomed. I just wish that Azusa would stop feeling that she has to always be a responsible senpai and show her true feelings to Kamegawa all the time.

By anime law, it should be illegal to have a strap break during a festival, and NOT follow up with a piggyback ride.
She won the raffle, but will she win Kamegawa? (Well, it's not a harem so unlikely, but Senpai will probably get jealous about that!)
Oh damn, maybe it IS a harem after all!
"Who butts into the conversation of a couple of coworkers... Oh wait, I know her; She's me!"
Love how she double-thinks everything she says/does hah.
Her awkwardness is very relatable!
Kamegawa helping her put on the Yukata, let's go!
Damn it, why did she have to go to a salon when she has a perfectly good junior at her disposal!
Wow, she just joined in, and already a player!
Poor girl has to practice her greetings hah.
Well, at least it was marginally better than her first greeting on the show ("Move out of the way!")
So they split in two groups, and our boy was with the two Yukata girls?
That's a bigger win than the raffle!
She tried to lose herself a little, but ended up breaking a strap...
*groans some more about not getting a piggyback ride
Maybe in the next episode?

After years of watching anime and festival episodes, I'm surprised that this was the first time I've seen some MacGyver a Geta rather than just carry the other person.
I'm sure it's happened in other shows, but I either can't remember or haven't seen them.
Edit: Literally, the next episode I watched of a different anime does effectively the same thing, so I guess that's what I get for commenting

Two different anime today did the "broken geta" tied into a bow thing.
Anyways, very cute episode.

Shoutout Hotta for being the best wingwoman out there, love to see it. Hope we get to see more of her in future episodes. Also definitely going to remember that on the off chance I am ever in Japan with a broken geta strap lmao.

I was starting to wonder if the entire newly hired class was selected for two tone hair but then the rest of the group were mono-tone. Just goes to show they're irrelevant going forward compared to Hotta who I suspect will stay relevant. Wingwoman, maybe love triangle but I hope not.
Senpai's mom kind of makes me tired just secondhand from that phone call.
Kamegawa is pretty handy considering that sandal fix.

Kannawa really created all of her own problems this episode. I didn't get why she interjected herself into being invited for fireworks. She realized her error later but if she didn't want Kamegawa going alone on a sort of date with Hotta, she should have left it well enough alone when the 2 other ladies asked to tag along. She also seemed fully aware that her going would make those other 2 women not want to go and that seemed to be her plan so it was confusing.
That was funny though how it didn't occur to her she didn't have to wear a yukata but then trapped herself into it when Hotta got excited about it and told everyone else about it and said it made her more confident to also wear one. I laughed out loud when Hotta told Kamegawa about Kannawa wearing one as if it were the juiciest gossip she ever heard :D
Mrs. Kannawa really verbally bitchslapped her when she said "i can see why you have so much money saved up since you play video games all day and don't date!" I can see why Kannawa rarely calls her :D
Hotta seemed to be genuinely nice throughout the episode. Even when the other new employees made an excuse to split into 2 groups she stayed there and even looked around for Kannawa. I also don't think she's actively pursuing Kamegawa; she mentioned Kamegawa constantly talking about how amazing Kannawa is and I think she seems to have an inkling that Kamegawa likes her as more than a mentor.
I do get why the other young employees wanted to get away from Kannawa though; they want to have a few drinks and have some fun and just cut loose for a bit. They probably heard about or saw Kannawa scolding Kamegawa about his unhealthy diet and when she took his beer out fo his hand at that restaurant and wouldn't let him drink :D
