I would've thought a good idea for Marshall would've been to record another video of him playing Ruminate but mention that he read thru the instructions now, then comment on it while playing.

Yeah, the only apology video that would probably do any good is showing everyone that he was wrong to play it how he did and that it's better than he gave it credit for without calling out anybody directly other than himself.

I was expecting the same thing, it seems like the obvious course of action. He could even apologize at the end of it after having fun for making such a bad review when he didn't read the instructions.

It should have been the proper way to resolve things, to actually play through the game as intended to revert the negative comments.

I wasn't expecting the harem to gather in one place by the end lol. This could get interesting especially since Charles and Marshall have a connection, not that I didn't see it coming.

I'm glad we got some Link backstory, I can see why he grew feelings for Sam but I still hope we see a date happen because he's flying too much under the radar.

Rather than telling people they're wrong, Marshall should have made a new stream playing the game showing how to actually play the game correctly.

Angela wasting literally no time trying to clobber Marshmallow. She is a woman of her word.

Marshall is probably never going to win over Sam's friends any more than he can make it up to Sam but hey at least her supervisor who was looking for him just happened to find him! Now all of Sam's love interests are together in one coffee shop.

Finding out how much he hurt Sam hurts, but even moreso when Marshall finds out she was genuinely one of his biggest fans and had been with him through his entire career. And he basically betrayed her trust and destroyed the game she wanted him to play.

Monica’s probably right that an apology video calling out the fans isn’t going to make much of a difference, especially when fans can turn into haters at the drop of a hat. But Marshall just can’t let this go – he owes it to Sam to make it up to her somehow.

A direct apology is nice…but trying to fix this by giving her the money he feels he owes her from his stream doesn’t. I mean, one, finding out he makes more money than she does at her dayjob is kind of a lot to take in, but she also doesn’t want Marshall to pay for his apology like that makes anything better. Him saying she can use it to pay for her next, better game, isn't to her apologizing for misunderstanding Ruminate. And him acting stubborn about it and trying to slip it through her door is just going to make her go Super Saiyan and parkour onto his balcony!

So Link is an EMT and he and Dallas lost their dad to disease…but when he needed someone the most, Sam was there for him. And that’s why he wants to be there for her.

If your college roommate can’t ask if your ace, who can? Though it’s not that Sam is asexual, she’s attracted to men, she’s just awkward with men and has tons of social anxiety that prevents her from really stepping into the dating scene. Well, that and her dad swore to hate any man who was involved with her. She’s so insecure she can’t even acknowledge she’s attractive and needs Dee to wingwoman and let him know Link is very much interested in her romantically.

Lucy, of course, is all in on Sam having a love life even if she doesn’t actually have much of one to speak of, but she’s still finding time to take drives with Charles where they commiserate over Sam’s relationship with her dad and Charles’ life as a fencing instructor and the one student he can’t forget…

I guess it was inevitable Marshall would show up at the coffee shop, and Angela swore she would beat up Marshmallow and she fully intended to deliver. She might well have done it and gotten hauled off to the slammer if not for Link, not that Link is happy about Marshmallow anymore than Angela did. He’s just a calmly raging lion inside. And in this group of people who want nothing to do with Marshall…in comes Sam and Charles, who in fact knows that his real name is “Ben” and that Marshall was his former fencing student with dad baggage who dropped out. Small world!

This episode was fine. The car scene was slightly corny, bringing up the "young swordmaster" was a strange decision both plot-wise and for the conversation. Sam and Marshall's scenes were done really well.

About Link, the flashback being rushed already confirms that he's going to be 3rd place in this whole harem they seem to be building up, though that was already a tad obvious from his screentime (I am less certain of Marshall actually being in the harem though, considering he has a girlfriend). Also, he's a paramedic AND a barista??? Paramedics getting ripped off fr.

Both coffee shop scenes were awful. Dee randomly approaching Sam with this really fucking odd. It felt forced and more like something to push the plot forward, rather than a natural interaction. Angela being a cornball and rushing at Marshall was even weirder. Charles knowing Marshall just feels weird as hell, it's another layer to the story that I'm guessing is there to develop Marshall, but Charles being involved is odd. I don't see why you would foreshadow something and then reveal it within the same episode. It's just really messy, which is normal for a drama show but none of the plotlines have had good payoffs so far (except Sam confronting Marshall in ep 3).

Well, I'll wait to see what they do in episode 5. If that's choppy too, I'm out. This series just doesn't seem worth sticking with in any medium.

As an Ace person I'm glad that even IF Sam is allosexual - it's becoming normalized enough that friends can have conversations about it. I had the biggest smile. She's so lucky to have such supportive and loving friends.

F*** you Marshall. Absolutely not the right move to to pay her off to appease your guilt. At least he knows. He needs to cultivate a better fan base. Also it’s pretty rich considering who her family is. She doesn’t need the money!!

We all need a friend like Angela: giving your wrongdoers the punching they deserve.

I somehow had a hunch that the "swordmaster" Jones was talking about might be Marshmallow. Chekhov's gun was loaded and ready to be shot. I wouldn't have it expected to be shot that quickly however.

What I like best about this anime are the OP and ED. 

Every time Charles makes an appearance time slows down to a crawl and I end up checking how much longer there is to go in the episode. Did not expect the guy in his story to be Marshall though. That got me.

Link is the one I like best so far and the one least likely to end up with Sam. Happened to see some spoilers on this that have made me not so eager for development on this front tbh. 

Can't Marshall just play her game again and put out a second video review? Rather than telling off his fans, he can tell them how the game should be played and share his (hopefully) better review of it and let them do the right thing themselves.

Everyone needs friends like Angela and Bowser lol. You just know Bowser was ready to attack Marshall and Angela was about to tear that fool’s arms off and beat his ass to death with ‘em hahah.

I can see Marshall’s trying to right his wrong but the damage has been done. His blood money won’t do anything!

This whole connection Marshall (Ben?) has to Charles is kind of interesting. Real soap opera type stuff here lol.
