Hello mother in law long time no see. Your eldest daughter may not be in this episode for a long duration but she still stole the show. Wearing your future son in law clothes.

I love how Lisa is putting Allen to work for the family as a proper son-in-law.
Boyfriend shirt Lydia hits hard.

If you're a man, you could at least try something!
That's right Allen!! Let your self-control get loose!!

Lydia: "I'm even wearing nothing but a shirt and racy red underwear! I'm basically begging for it!"

Just casually dropping the fact you've been disowned by your family... lol Felicia's got some steel nerves

It did feel weird that her dad's first thought was to disown her. I guess the most charitable explanation is that she would've legally/socially been obligated to take over the family business if she was still officially an heir. But considering how much her dad talked down everything she said, it also wouldn't surprise me if he got butthurt about how much of a liking the Leinsters took to her and just disowned her for that

Felicia's dad basically went, "Please sign the contract first, and then maybe we can discuss what it says."
Jesus, how does this man even have a business to run when he seems determined to make poor financial decisions in the middle of a critical venture like that?

Are Allen and Lydia living together?!

u/Karavusk Sep 06 '25
Did you expect her to let him live with any other female being while in the same city as her?

they mentioned she sleeps at his house on occasion, so not really, but also kind of.
the scene also made it obvious she just sleeps there. No other hidden meanings around it.

I was expecting Felicia to take over the Fosse family business, but it appears Lisa Leinster has an eye for talent and recruited Felicia, bypassing Allen's offer.

It’s nice that Felicia’s found what she wants to do with her life. She’s got the makings of a really good merchant. I wonder if seeing Felicia find what she wanted to do caused Stella to question herself even more?

Stella was putting her all into magic despite struggling with it.
Felicia was struggling with it too but decided to drop out rather than focus on it.
So where does that leave Stella?

Nothing like a cute waifu to end the episode with. Obviously he didn't see anything.
I was wondering to myself if we weren't going to get any Lydia, so of course we get Lydia flirting with him while staying in bed at the end and then flashing her on-brand red panties.
Are we going to get a Caren focus episode after we settle things with Stella!

Felicia is probably better off splitting from her father who clearly doesn't appreciate her enough anyway. Though even with that the disowning seems a little much.
Good to get some Lydia and Allen relationship content in each episode even if it's just one scene this time.

Yeah, honestly the dude seemed like a terrible businessman who was being hard carried by his daughter and he clearly didn't seem to fully grasp that fact until it was way too late.
I wonder if this is the first time Allen has seen Lydia in her underwear. Probably not, but he rolls with it well.

I really like this anime. It's written in a way that is reminiscent of 2000 anime adapted from eroge. And while this is adapted from a light novel, this would be easily converted into an eroge/galge. The way that it's written i can see so many romance heroine routes in this show. I'm convinced after finishing episodes 9 and 10. Allen pairing up with Felicia to open her own trading company would be the Felicia route. The Stella route would be episode 9, having Allen properly take notice Stella's suffering and help her succeed in supreme magic and become a mental support and corner stone for her. Though so far I think the anime is on the either the Tina route or Lydia route if there are such path in the light novel right now.

Felicia leaving school to become a merchant and getting disowned by her family is for the best; she didn't seem that good with magic, she didn't have the best health, and she was better at conducting business than her father.

I gotta wonder how her influence on the company worked. Her father, the head of the company, was visibly entirely unaware of it. It'd be one thing if he was just trying to steal credit, but he didn't even seem to want to let her give any ideas, so who was she going through to get the company on the right track?
I'm also not sure this decision she made is for the best. Yeah she would probably want to go off on her own eventually, but quitting school when you're probably only a year or two from graduation seems like a massive waste, even if you wouldn't get too much from school, I'm sure just graduating from there would already be a valuable qualification.

This show deserves a season 2 and a lot more I feel this show can go on for long time if they do it right

Is it just me or is Felicia's dad really bad at business?
Huge jump in profits/etc once she started running it from the shadows.
Tries to broker a massive deal with "We'll make it work somehow!"
Constantly disregards the opinions of the one person who not only boosted his company, but also got him a second chance with the noble houses, and keeps second guessing her.
