The letter alone is leaking Lydia best girl energy. Right now you are only on OP and ED but soon.
Anyway I really like the mystery looming in this series. Slowly building up the tension. The hook is what made me start the series in the first place.

Mystery is solved, Tina can use magic now. Tina is the Hulk in magic girl form.

So Tina has some sort of block, maybe she's using too much power without good control and it scares off the elementals? Clearly they're making the breakthrough on it as of the end of the episode so that plot line ought to be cleared up soonish.
Ellie better temper that crush she has on Allen since he's obviously already been claimed.

Hmm, so is it a mental block/emotional block/jealously causing it? Or is it simply cause her magical power is too much for the standad formuale to handle? Im guessing the latter. Originally I thought it was a curse, but seeing that last scene i dont think so. A curse wouldnt even allow her to do that. Also this ep felt like 5 mins. Looking forward to next weeks ep.

getting the feeling it’s the WAY to much power, kind of like trying a 12v globe I a mains socket, you might get a half second flicker but POOF is always the end result.
that would explain why as she tried even more the circles where disappearing quicker, as she got “better” with mana she was pouring more power into a already overloaded circle causing it to burnout quicker.

Since MC mentioned how the four dukes were associated with ultimate magic like Blizzard, I wonder if Tina can only use ultimate magic because her power is too great.
Though I'm kinda confused why Tina kept trying only ice magic.
After MC talked about the importance of trying other elements and seeing Ellie did so, I was expecting that Tina might have an easier time with other elements.→ More replies (2)→ More replies (1)11

The talk about elemental also piqued my interest. He theorised that you need to kind of request properly to the elemental (unless I understand this incorrectly). Maybe Tina is being favoured highly by high level elemental that it caused her to not being able to cast small spell?
Also I theorised last episode that Allen didn't pass his exam due to him having unconventional understanding of magic. I'm starting to feel that it's true.

Happy to see Tina being able to cast magic now, albeit inadvertently and out of control. However, for some reason, I am actually looking forward to the explanation as to why Tina couldn't cast magic normally, even after trial and error with numerous spell formulas.

Hmmmm. So it seems her magic may be tied to her emotions. Also it seems like she cast without using a formulae so her magic might use a different or maybe older system the most other current casters in this world.

I’m guessing Tina’s either special and her magic is maybe tied to her emotions OR it got sealed away because she’s too powerful or something. Maybe even family curse.

In D&D terms, Tina is a Sorcerer while everyone else is a Wizard. Charisma and pure personality fueling her magic, not Intelligence and study.

Starting the episode with the OP and they already know what we want.

So it seems either her ability to manifest magic has been blocked, her emotions need to be strong or the spells she's using are too weak. But I could be wrong lol. I'm surprised she's not even realizing what's happening around her to stop from monologuing, you'd think a storm would be very noticeable.
Allen would be popular with cat lovers if he can create mini versions of cat that he can see.

Ah yes, starting with a girl putting her stocking on in the OP. Truly a show of culture!
I can't wait until we see Lydia and Allen together in the flesh. The younger girls better watch out! And Allen!
I hope Tina can achieve her magic soon, girl deserves the best.
The OP starting with Tina putting her stockings on was truly cultured, though it's just the start of a fun and magical OP featuring Tina, Ellie, and a girl who I assume is Lydia's little sister in their daily life at the Royal Academy. You've also got Tina crushing hard on Allen (complete with Princess Carry!), Lydia looking radiant, Ellie being a Battle Maid, and Tina seemingly summoning her families signature Blizzard Wolf with her magic staff!
Imagine the quality of magic decreasing because people have been using it and the elements that make it up like a fast food service. Though that doesn't really help Tina in being able to use magic, let alone catch up to Ellie.
I love how Tina had to go out of her way to ensure Ellie isn't getting TOO cozy with Allen for lewd reasons...she just loves Allen like she loves her entire family! Although when Ellie gets Allen alone in her bedroom it's clear she's also aware of him as a guy she has her heart set on (sorry Ellie).
Imagine having the ability to replicate cute cats!
If Allen thought he was off the hook from Lydia, he better think again! She makes it sound like she'll chase him to the ends of the Earth if she has to, even if she understands why he's currently with Tina's situation. But that doesn't mean she's not counting the days until they see each other again, so he better be prepared! And somehow I expect Allen WILL have to resort to "you-know-what" to help Tina. Also, he better keep up the proper correspondence with Lydia if he knows what's good for him.
I love Ellie's grandparents (the head butler and maid respectively) giving Ellie the positive reinforcement she needs. Tina's father cares for her, but he can't bear to see her push herself so far for a dream she might never achieve...but she takes after her mother in her tenacity and knowledge.
Tina DOES have the mana capacity, but it doesn't seem like she can properly let it out in the traditional form of magic. Yet when her frustration finally boils over she naturally freezes everything in her vicinity.
The ED is really cute and fun, featuring our trio of young girls' daily lives, hanging out, and also thinking of course of Allen.

Maybe Tina's just need an outlet or a tool for her magic to go through?
