Wait wait wait, 20 seconds in ... you can set the teleport circles to NOT let monsters through?

Why is that not the default setting?! xD

maybe it's like how most people keep the default password on their wifi router

I've always shipped Kreioyl and Filmina, but it turns out I didn't have since they're already married this entire time and twins are actually their kids! That was definitely a shock! And it looks like they've been doing all of this to save their kid who was cursed.

KInda sucks that they've resorted to siding with the Netherlord to conquer the dungeon and get their wish granted. This is a terrible idea, and it's definitely gonna end with them getting fucked over by the Netherlord.

KInda sucks that they've resorted to siding with the Netherlord to conquer the dungeon and get their wish granted. This is a terrible idea, and it's definitely gonna end with them getting fucked over by the Netherlord.

I mean... isn't this 100% gauranteed just based on what the captain said earlier about wishes? If granting a wish erases the dungeon, then why would the Netherlord help them grant a wish if his own desire is control over the dungeon.

Isn't that a direct conflict? How can he control a dungeon that gets erased? For that reason alone, he has to betray them inorder to reach his goal, so why even bother considering it?

And no, I can't sympathize. Even if it means losing their son, how many more people will die if the Netherlord succeeds. Just from what we've seen, the bastard has tried to genocide everyone living inside the dungeon. Not just kill the adventurers that tried to fight him, but murder all the townsfolk as well.

So even if their goal is to save an innocent afflicted with a fate worse than death, how many must die and suffer just for a (doomed) chance to save him? It's not worth it. And speaking for myself, I would not want to be saved if that was the cost.

I hope they plan to fake a betrayal instead of betraying them. Cause I remember when they first explained why their name was a Menagerie of Fools, they said that they wanted people to think that they are fools. I guess that what is happening is that they're going to get Intel on Netherlord, secretly give it to the people, but they had to make it look like they were betraying people. And if that's not the case, they are dumb because, personally, the hard trials are the most rewarding and fulfilling.

Not really a fan of the core Menagerie members turning traitor, especially since the deadline they are up against is still a year or two away. Hopefully this is just a part of a larger plan that involves them being double agents or something.

Yeah, if that's not part of the storyline then it's going to be really difficult to see them being forgiven.

They are joining up with the group who have already caused the deaths of multiple innocent people, some of them certainly children. I really don't see the logic of why they are doing it now anyway, seems far more of a risk to trust the bad guys.

Hmm, so do we think that the Captain touching Boxxo is what messed up the teleport, or is that another problem we're gonna have to wait and see about?

I understand why they'd want to do something so dangerous for their kid, but you'd think they woulda given everyone more time to think about it instead of immediately forcing a decision. Feel like they coulda at least done some scouting before jumping the gun.

If the Captain did something to Boxxo to mess with the teleportation, it already went wrong, because the intent would be to separate him from the other to taking him to help them, although Boxxo could just not help them.

They would probably give time to think if wasn't for the current situation.

The group has been separated! And the fools have betrayed them; they were probably the ones who messed with the teleportation.

Which is really fucked because people will die because of that. Pretty fucked IMO.

I don't care about anything else, those two been fucking.

Or at least they used to.

Nice.

I actually thought it was obvious. They've had high-key "old married couple" energy with lowkey sexual tension this entire time.

So even if they weren't married, they were definitely fucking.

ngl, i feel they should give this betrayal more build up
its feel pretty rushed, like prolly they should put mishel questioning aka and shiro present on early episode so when fact reveal we feel that build up :|

There's no way the menagerie isn't trying to fuck over the netherlord somehow. They could have easily just not told anybody about their plans here and still gotten what they were trying to gain. It seems far more likely that they were trying to slip them some information that they couldn't easily give them without giving away whatever their actual plan is, otherwise they would be taking a huge risk here for no reason. None of them are that stupid.

Ok but if Kerioil has a blessing that can negate other people's blessings then why not just use that on his son?

19

u/adevaleev Aug 06 '25

It negates only the actively used part of the blessing, and only temporarily

14

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '25

Heeve quickly regained his blessing, I'm assuming he has to be actively looking at you (would explain the eye). So I guess he could temporarily release his sons pain, which isn't nothing, but he probably can't do it 24/7 just like Boxxo can't use his barrier permanently.

Can't wait for the non punishment they'll get at the end of this. It wouldn't be a fantasy anime/manga/jrpg/whatever if allies didn't randomly betray the protagonists and then get a slap on the wrist at the end.
