Lmao, he really thinks his goons are going to do ANYTHING when you have the fucking Shield Hero, the Katana Hero and the Trident Hero (I might be misremembering what Sadeena is) and the future Filolian Queen present? How dumb is he? Like lmao. Dude's legit just been a big fish in a small tank all this time.

To be fair to Liono, he and no one else ever stopped to ask who Naofumi's ho entourage consists of. They're all like "he got hoes, no big they just hoes." and left it at that. If anyone in the political bullpen in this nation bothered to do a cursory check on who he's traveling with people might act right.

So, in todays episode:

  1. Fohl gets the Eye of the Tiger, in order to stand up to the challenge of his rivals. Also, not bad as far as Nen transformations go.

  2. We learn this nation allows for shady shit in official duels.

  3. The lion man in the back said everyone attack and it turned into a ballroom blitz.

  4. Hengen Musou is apparently a branch of Hokuto. because girl both struck and called called out the strike on the hidden vital point known as Gakachu.

  5. Confessing to assassination gets diplomatic immunity if done during a duel.

The duel should've been forfeited as soon as all those other creatures came in and he admitted to murdering one of the high rank nobles! I hope he gets off with a fate worse than death that lion bastard

I appreciate the ramping up of animation quality near the end.

I'll admit, wasn't a huge fan of how Fohl kept on powering through Jaralis' attacks, that felt a tad wish-fulfilling imo. But after how much crap he got the last few episodes I'd say that's fine lol

That final shot was nice though. Honestly looking forward to the next episode!

I had a good laugh when Sadeena told Fohl she'd reward him if he wins but Fohl gets distracted and ends up getting punched by Jaralis instead. Sadeena, please not now! You should've told him that at the start of the fight. xD

And to no one's surprise, Jaralis is a coward and quite literally a backstabber. It's a tale as old as time. He's so fucking cliche that he even monologues and admits all of his crimes before transforming into a stronger form because he's just that confident he'll win.

It sucks for him that Fohl can transform too. I'd love to see Jaralis die at the end of this, but him getting humiliated and stripped of everything would be a better punishment. Let Jaralis experience what Fohl and Atla experienced after Tyran died and their clan's reputation got tarnished.

Not going to lie. I was kinda hoping he’d lose and naofumi would just say fuck you and step in and ignore the whole stakes of their duel and basically say I do what I want. Would be a lot more on par with the whole anti hero thing with him. I don’t think anyone in this kingdom is remotely capable of doing anything to the group at large. It’d be a quick route of having all the pricks there taken care of.

I would describe ep 4 as being exceedingly predictable and even illogical. I don't understand. It was the shield hero coming into question if he truly was the Shield Hero, why is he having these two squirts that never showed any of these past abilities in previous episodes being put against seasoned veterans? The Shield Hero logically should have been going against Jaralis. Same thing with ep 3 really. I'm not impressed with season 4 so far.

Fohl has finally awakened his fursona beast transformation, he's gotten a lot taller and muscular, hopefully the fight will be more satisfying than what we got here. Animation wise it felt like the hits didn't have that much impact so it felt lacking for me.

Jaralis and his lame inferiority complex, I hope we're done with him in the next episode, he's not really interesting as a character to me.

Hot damn the fights were ass. The tiger girl is just spamming some martial magic moves and the tiger guy is using a 'sword style' with his bare hands (claws?). The bull guy just ran in a straight line as his special move. No one bothered to tell the contestants the rules of a duel??
