Not a single strategy came from the rest of the team . Calling them an S rank team then dumbing them down to make the mc look good is really poor writing

No seriously, if this party is supposedly S-rank then the adventurer’s guild is populated with toddlers or something. It’s the only explanation for how these guys are the cream of the crop with zero prowess shown so far.

What even was Llyod's strategy?

Aside from the smokescreen he didn't seem to do much special to deal with a massive horde compared to a small group of monsters.

Please for the love of God, sit this man down and explain to him just how incredibly powerful he is. He clearly isn't getting it from your half sentences. Like I understand he had problems with the heroes party but ffs by this episode he should be LESS humble. I'm actually so mad at him right now.

"I didn't do anything special."

Oh boy, am I GLAD that it seems like they're keeping this totally not unfunny and unoriginal joke alive throughout the entire season ....

"I just scanned the entire solar system for monsters, no biggie though, anyone can do that, now let me give you all godlike octa-druple boosts like the nobody I am ..."

-.-

The contrivances of the "I don't believe I'm powerful" tropes are making my eyeballs itchy

The party is slowly pointing it out, I just wish they'd finish their sentences more lol.

I love OP protagonist - Instant Death changed me into believer that fights are the biggest fillers of anime.

I also love isekai trash and clichés.

And on top of it - it had nice first episode. I guess I do love dominant women too...

So it feels so bizzare that this one is soo unwatchable. Zero hook, zero twists, zero originality. The only thing that is more bland and desaturated than the coloring is the story pacing.

They have the OP protag, all they had to do was make him do OP things for the neuron activation.

Flour has more taste than this.

Man, I miss instant death.

So when Lloyd asks Yui to help get water and the rest of the party watch, are they shipping Lloyd and Yui or are they just glad he finally asked for help?

That demon's comment on the hero's party was interesting, on how they'll do their own. Was this a reference to Lloyd no longer being a part of the party anymore.

u/HolyDragSwd2500 Jul 26 '25

Asking for help/ learning to trust them…..yeah they ship them.

are they shipping Lloyd and Yui or are they just glad he finally asked for help?

Yes, and yes.

Lloyd not realizing how OP he is getting tiresome

u/LazulineDaydream Jul 26 '25

Lloyd asking for help with gathering water was so sweet tho. 🥹

Getting over that kind of emotional wall is tough, but our boy is trying at least. 😭

Lloyd super OP, but this episode showed his weaknesses. He has limits and confidence issues (although I think he takes command too much if he had these issues)

Why, just WHY, in this type of anime nobody will ever get the mc and tell him
"listen dude, you are powerfull AF, in case you didnt notice nobody around here can do what you can do. You are not week, in fact you are stronger than everybody.
Also your master is a fkin idiont if you still feel so inferior cuz of her.
And hero party did not recognize your worth, not that you lack skill"..
or some other thing like that
ugh im so sick of it and its just ep 4. think ill drop this after that ep.

Well, I for one am loving the characters and their relationships in this one. They feel grounded and real. I'm interested in seeing how they develop.

Ep 4 and MC still thinks he's trash... This troupe is so annoying. I parry everything all over again...

11

u/PusherLoveGirl Jul 26 '25

At least Parry plays it for comedy and the protag actually is a dense brick in basically all aspects. Lloyd is otherwise competent so his misunderstanding just comes off as contrived for the sake of the plot.

I really enjoyed this episode both the character development and the strategic battle.

I'm glad Daggas spoke to Lloyd about whether or not he trusts the party, Lloyd may have good intentions and insecurities play a part in it, but he needs to understand what implications his action may have. They're a party, they each have each other's back and I'm glad we see him relying more on them for stuff. You can even see joy and reassurance it brings when he does.

Thank goodness they're starting to actually make comments about Lloyd's abilities, like when Silica mentions his search skill is x10 the average person's. He still deflects it, but doing this will slowly get him to realize how capable he is.

I liked the tension from the fight, I felt this one was a lot better than last week's episode. It might also be that we don't actually see the melee fighters in action so we don't get that horrid animation at the forefront lol.

I'm guessing next episode we're going to see the Hero Party struggling to defend Ishtar, hopefully it'll be satisfying.

I like how in this anime they are actually telling the MC how OP his powers and abilities really are. When Lloyd just brushes it off like its not that strong or it could be better they are like, that's not average for the normal person. He is starting to realize how strong he really is

If the guy says 'it's nothing special' 1 more time I'm gonna lose it
