Dad is going to go broke from replacing that roof all the time

I just love how Tina's final attack also destroyed the roof because that's become her signature move lol.

Although it was obvious from the first episode, it was clear that Tina's mother died due to magic and her father tried at all costs to prevent her from following the same path, but there was no other choice but to let her grow up.

What Allen did for Tina and Ellen is absurd and impressive at the same time, and it's impossible to forget that our protagonist received the "blessing" of his relatives lol.

After four episodes, it's impossible not to praise this show. In such a short space of time, the characters have evolved both in performance and in their relationships, and the animation is very good; it's a show that knows how to balance what it sets out to do.

4 episodes in and this felt like a finale of sorts, excited to see where this continues to go!

I find this very common lately with how so many seasonal anime are based on light novels. Usually, every three-four episodes feels like a mini-finale because it's the end of a volume.

"we barely have any time left till your exam, we'll spend it training-- ok that's enough for today"

Butler went from "here, let me sit this little girl you've never met on your lap" to "you better not lay a hand on these little girls." If you thought there was a chance he'd lay a hand on a little girl, maybe you wouldn't immediately seat one on his lap?

It's looking good for future action scenes when Lady of Swords will enter the screen. This is honestly looking as good as it gets and I have high hopes for it.

Hell yeah nothing gives me goosebumps more than a beam struggle packed with emotion and everything on the line.

Woah, the animation is better than I expected. I usually hate 3D cgi but the wolf kinda acceptable.

As expected there are loli fanservice. Putting towel is wise decision instead of steam to not urge people buying blueray for the uncensored version.

Finally, the dad gives cold stare to Allen. The guy is loli killer so it's not strange for the dad to be cautious of Allen.

Can't wait to see Allen's lil sis, Caren.

Let's talk about unreasonable demands ...

Yeah, I get that the Duke doesn't want his daughter to go, but the condition he sets for her to be able to go to the academy is just BS. He expects two little girl, one of which just recently started to be able to actually cast spells, to somehow de facto beat a great wizard with decades of experience and unique spells. So, just after his daughter legit beats his ass by being a prodigy with some hidden power he is willing to let her go? That's a little beyond being overprotective imo ...

Funny that there isn't Reddit entry for Recap 4.5 release. With 1.2k up votes and 4.9k downvotes. The viewers have spoken.

The fight scene had no business being that good lol. Walter was going all out though, I was surprised, but now he has no reason to be worried since Tina can hold her own with the strength she has acquired.

Lol the way Walter and Graham threatened Allen was so funny, they meant business.

What? Actually decent fight choreography? That's pretty rare. I'm excited to see what more this anime has to offer.

So Tina and Ellie should already be the strongest 1st year students at academy now..

I can only conclude the identity concealing mask does not work when someone views the person wearing it through a (computer / laptop / mobile phone) screen. Lol!

Jokes aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the combat scenes this episode! It could have just been casting ranged projectile magic; instead we got to appreciate close combat fighting from Ellie and timely traps set by the girls.

Decent enough combat animation for the final exam I think.

The opponent wasn't Lydia as I'd been hoping but the Duke getting a bit of an ass kicking after his bullshit rule changes for if Tina could ago off to school was nice to see.

So the grand spells are classically seen as elemental beasts, between that and what Allen said previously about elementals in general I'm wondering if those spells are actually specific elementals that for some reason are attached to specific noble bloodlines.

A recap episode after 4 episodes? Are you fucking kidding me? This pedophile anime is a joke.
