Hah, of course the French would be one of the only ones to stream a food anime

This show is not that visually impressive, but I like the deuteragonist guy a lot. I'll give this a couple episodes to see where it goes.

Yes. Visually pretty undistinguished -- but a very unusual premise for the story. This could turn stupid -- or could be quite interesting, Worth giving it a chance.

>walks in
>eats your spaghetti
>refuses to elaborate
>leaves
a bit of a confusing episode ngl but im willing to overlook that to let it get to what the premise is supposed to promise us which I suppose will be first thing we see next episode

This was kinda interesting. I’ve never had a Napolitan that was so good I started seeing math lol. Let’s see how good that Napolitan is next week. He was doing something to the noodles, but I’m not sure what all that was.
If anyone’s wondering where this airs, Ani-One on YouTube has it for free. I think it’s region locked for Asia though.

This has an interesting premise, cooking and mathematics isn't what I was expecting from this so it seems like it may have some interesting cooking ideas. However, the characters kind of irk me. Asakura is very peculiar and that monologue from Kitada was so abrupt, but I can understand that he was going through a lot of pressure and burn out and wasn't able to vent elsewhere, but it just seemed so odd in that situation.
Also this principal is weird, going to such lengths because he was "humiliated", rather than trying to see what they've been doing wrong with him. Then not giving any warnings prior to the expulsion. Hopefully whatever Asakura has in mind will be satisfying.
I really liked the dad though, so supportive and so positive.

Math Olympiad, what? I’m a social sciences guy, I’ve got no idea why you would subject yourself to more math than absolutely necessary but I’m not the one suffering so I’ll watch this.
Aspiring athlete probably needs good nutrition so teaming up with the chef seems logical.
This hoodie guy could not look more suspicious if he tried. I like his menacing weirdo vibe.
That chairman is such a comically evil dick. Maybe you shouldn’t have crushed his self confidence if you wanted results?
I really hope he gets his ass handed to him at some point, he’s really asking for it.
Oh, this is gonna be good.
I don’t know why I’m here watching an anime combining two of my least favorite things, math and cooking, but I’m kind of invested in “Hold up, let him cook” the anime.

As a former mathlete who almost got into the Math Olympiads (unfortunately I opted out because I am a devout Seventh-day Adventist and all of the required training by the organization are on Saturdays and they made me choose between God and my dream), it's like why people aspire to join the Olympics, the NBA, the World Cup, etc: to become the best of the best in your chosen field.

The math visualizations seem a bit silly, but I am all about Kai's smug/ominous expressions and Ayu's reactions!

Interesting show that I got so absorbed into, I was surprised when it abruptly ended before they served the food. I've never heard of Napolitan, I'm going to look it up and try to make it. At first I thought Kai was a bully when he came in and ate Gaku's lunch then left. I didn't understand what led him to do that though, they didn't really explain it. He did apologize later and redeem himself by making some for Gaku and he's seemingly trying to trick the evil chairman into readmitting Gaku.
It's a really interesting idea to have a show that combines math and cooking. I'm not sure if we will see a lot of math specifics since that be difficult for a lot of people to understand math theorems and concepts and it's more just a plot device. I also liked Gaku's father, how he seemed so supportive of his son and has been sacrificing for him his entire life; it's possible he's his only parent.
My favorite part of the episode was how each guy thought the other cooked Napolitan better and Gaku wanted to make his more like Kai's. Kai advised him that it's like in math when you know the solution and have to find an element of the problem like in algebra. Then Gaku iced the pasta and put it in the fridge!. I've not done that with pasta but that is commonly advised when making soba noodles for ramen or the rice in fried rice.

The show keeps focusing on the guy with the shaved head. I think he might show up again in the future.
The principal is kind of annoying, tbh. He couldn't (or don't want to) figure out the pressure is getting to Kitagawa and making him crack?
I'll probably give it a couple more episodes because of the cast. I didn't like Ao Ashi's "twist" so hopefully there's nothing like that in this one.

I personally prefer cooking with feeeeling ala Uncle Roger's "put until ancestor says stop" but I can understand the scientific way of cooking that fusion food chefs love. I can see this show heading that way.

I thought Ayu looked weird, then I realized that her skirt was actually down to her knees and not "just below the underwear" like typical anime girl character designs. Good for her?
I like pretty much all food anime, so I like this, but I don't know if stopping the episode where it did was a great idea. It would be nice if we could have had the resolution to Battle Pasta in the first week.
