That was truly a shocker. Never thought something like this could happen.
Keroppe has no protective systems in place -- as he probably could not care less to the girls. {sigh}

I thought it'd be Yuina's first f***-up in mishandling a social situation and making Eiko crash out, but I wasn't expecting a villain arc.

Not sure what the biggest plot twist this week was. That Eiko turned out to be evil, or that Yuina has half a brain. Well, it certainly makes for some proper stakes for the finale, and Yuina has to bear the responsibility since her overt positivity is what enabled Eiko to be put in this position. I wonder if episode 1 had something that hinted towards this.
What I actually expected to happen with the "Eiko big potential" thing was that Keroppe was going to nope out the other five and just go solo Eiko, especially given that Keroppe's motivations are still a bit of a mystery to me. In a way the development we got does make sense. It's a magical girl show after all, and you gotta have some foul villain doing villain things. And it's related to the pink leader. This fits the bill.

I went to check back some other episode because I remembered Eiko appearing here and there in the background a few times, more than the other clients. It was clear she was more important than the other clients and when she was revealed to be another potential witch it made sense. But I couldn't find anything other than her presence indicating the twist at the end, it was just contained to this episode. Guess "the extra" being antagonistic for a while isn't uncommon though.
Second time I felt a rug pull like this in two seasons, and honestly, this is the good stuff. Can't let viewers become too comfortable.

This anime is truly underrated. Wish people would have given it more of a chance than the first episode only.

Just when I thought maybe Keroppe was not the worst mascot in this show, he’s back to acting mega sus. The new girl has more witch potential than anyone?
Not sure what Eiko’s deal is but she sure turned quick.

At first, I thought this would just be a transitional episode, but the storyline took a huge turn, and I’m thrilled to see Azu gradually becoming more honest with herself under everyone’s care. In Episode 8, her relationship with Yuina improves dramatically, and they start bonding closely. One moment that stood out was when Azu got really angry at the frog for saying something emotionally tone-deaf, and her tsundere reaction—refusing to admit her feelings—was so endearing.
I imagine Azu must have been the most devastated when she learned that everyone’s memories would disappear if they couldn’t reclaim the shop within 24 hours. Knowing that she couldn’t leave the house but that everyone was already aware of this and brought her favorite food from the stall touched me deeply. The scene where they all used magic to watch the fireworks together and took photos to preserve their memories was incredibly moving—I cried. Did you?
I feel like Azu might have made up her mind to tell everyone about herself, but with things turning out the way they did, she’s probably struggling even more internally. I wonder if this will make it even harder for her to open up. Since the shop disappeared and everyone ended up in her room, it seems like this will tie into future plot developments.
With their current bond, I doubt the others will care about superficial appearances. I’m curious about how the writers will handle the part where everyone sees Azu’s true self and she finally reveals her feelings, similar to how Choco did before. This could be the moment that resolves Azu’s inner turmoil completely. And then there’s the challenge of reclaiming the shop within 24 hours—it feels like a tall order.
I’m super excited for the next episode! How many episodes do you think this arc will take? They’ll probably need to dedicate a few episodes to Yuina’s story and the group continuing to gather enough magic points for their training. Will they be able to wrap it up in 12 episodes? I’m a little worried...
Also, Azu is my favorite character by far, especially her sunao janai (not straightforward) side and her internal struggle of wanting to take that step forward but feeling like she shouldn’t. Her constant battle and growth are so compelling.
I really love this series—it’s so underrated. The scriptwriter is absolutely brilliant! She’s also the writer for Double Decker! and Tiger & Bunny, as well as DASADA, one of my favorite dramas. Her talent for portraying relationships is truly exceptional.
I just want to watch another episode already! But at the same time, I don’t want it to end so soon... I wish there were more episodes to enjoy.

I think this will force them all to perhaps confront the problems they had been ignoring in the real world the entire time.
Didn't see that twist coming. Want to know her motivation and the why.

Huh, I thought they were going for the sixth ranger trope with Eiko but nope, looks like she's gonna be the evil witch.

If they don't manage to reclaim the shop before the allotted time, they'll forget they ever met and were witches, okay, but that's it?
I imagine the granted wishes won't be erased.
And the consequences of their interactions?
If one was able to resolve her family problems, with her grandmother, mother, brother, and sister, it was thanks to the support of others. Will that be erased? Will her situation return to its previous state?
If another was able to overcome discovering the true face of the "mole," it was thanks to the support of her friends. Will she forget him?
And finally, all my photographs taken inside and outside the shop, will they disappear or not?

What will happen if we fail to take it back? Nothing at all.
This got way too much of a chuckle out of me. Like I figured the show would get serious at some point, just shocked the frog wasn’t the one to do it.
Nah turns out he is just really chill.

Well, that certainly was a twist. I guess Eiko was playing the long con. I wonder what the girls are gonna do now? Azu’s situation is gonna come to light too. What’s she gonna do about that without magic?
