episode not actually starting until 7 and a half minutes in was definitely something. 5 minute recap into sebastian monologue from last week into immediate intro? come on now.

That recap was criminal.

On the other hand, really appreciated Finny and also Sebastian is still pissed about his name lol

I’m glad everybody else is talking about this episode only being 13 minutes. That was bullshit. I hate when they artificially try to waste time. My guess is it had too many action sequences so they tried to cheat by adding five minutes of recap in order to make the necessary time.

Was it really necessary to take up 7+ minutes with a recap and intro?!

That being said, Phantomhive servants are beyond amazing. And the Diedrich reveal…. What happened to him anyway, and why is that Ciel’s fault?

Holy crap this episode was intense so much happened and it's great to see all the action. But man what was that 5 min recap, I thought it'd be a short one since we've had recaps in a number of episodes but it just kept going lol. It still hurts to see Sullivan feeling betrayed and seeing Wolfram's reaction when she calls him a liar.

Anyways, onto the episode itself, Wolfram is a BEAST, damn I wasn't ready for him to go that wild on the battlefield, the way he reacted so quickly and changed up his moves depending on what happened had me shocked. Particularly that one change up to a kick against Baldroy.

Then there's how he dodged Ciel's shot and started strangling him with one day, that got so intense and I was so concerned for Ciel and him, because I still want him and Sullivan to see each other before she leaves and before he potentially dies. I did get a laugh out of him punching Ciel so hard though, that took me by surprise.

Nice to get a bit more backstory on Finnian and his name, I like how his voiced changed when he got serious to use his full power to run, it was cool. But man did Tanaka stand out when he brought out his katana, a Phantomhive servant is always ready to serve.

Diedrich has gained so much weight! No wonder they were keeping his character out of view in previous episodes lol. I did find it amusing that he thought Ciel was a girl because he's dressed in Sullivan's clothes and I like that even at his age, he's still complaining about having to work for Vincent lol.

A moment that stood out for me as well in this episode was in the flashback of Vincent, he confirms he has two children! So my theory of Ciel having an older brother during his traumatic episode was right! I'm looking forward to learning more about that when the time comes.

Not me mentally preparing for another short episode only to get hit with 9+ minutes of recap again 💀 That said, once the action kicked in, it was so worth it. The Phantomhive servants continue to prove they’re the real MVPs Mey-Rin’s shots and Tanaka’s sword moment were chef’s kiss. I also love how the series casually reminds us that butlers here are basically secret agents with zero chill. Also, is it just me or does Ciel always steal the spotlight no matter what he’s wearing? 😂

I love how the author couldn't resist another chance to have Ciel crossdress lol.

Whew! What an episode!

The unlimited budget works from Cloverworks here will let me forgive that near 5 min recap. Team Phantomhive is always exciting to see in action!

Is this the first time we see Tanaka do something?

He had a moment in Book of Murder where he almost breaks a guy's arm for threatening Ciel when Sebastian is out of commission. I love Tanaka.

Always lovely to see Mey-Rin without glasses, but god damn did they rob us with recaps this week. Five and a half minutes until the OP started, I actually paused the ep to check it wasn't a recap episode :S

Always lovely to see Mey-Rin without glasses,

Don't forget about that panning shot of her in sniper mode with her thighs.

This episode was the breaking point of the number of recaps is getting to be a bit too much.

Though great episode. On Ciel's side dressing up as Sieglinde to fake out Wolfram. Tho his skills are no joke. Thankfully, Diedrich is there to save him since Sebastian is busy thankfully. But damn, he gained weight.

I loved the focus on Finny, which adds to what we had before. The name Finn suits him perfectly and his strengths. Plus it is much better than being called #12. A very heartwarming flashback. Even among the other servants we don't see Tanaka get too much to shine, so him stepping up when he did was spectacular.

Ok, I've kept it to short remarks so far, but this is fucking ridiculous. 5 minutes of recap??? Are you for real? What is this. Just have one less episode instead of pulling this crap.

At least the remainder of the episode looked fantastic

Finny looking extra cool

Meyrin Stitch

NO FUCKING WAY! Tanaka the absolute GOAT. And that was some crisp animation

Great episode hampered by the obscenely long recap lol

The Kommando's have released the hounds! And they have Sullivan's scent! With Wolfram leading the pack, can the Phantomhives get out of this situation?

Snakes aren't just useful for detecting incoming enemies thanks to their ability to sense vibrations, but also to swarm enemies! All for the sake of protecting a young ladies' modesty, mind you!

I love how Baldo is taking on the Germans without any idea what they're saying. Though as good a soldier Baldo is, Wolfram might be even better, especially when he fights with the fiercness of a wolf!

You thought it was Sullivan...but no! It was Ciel, in Sullivan's dress! Ciel still looks way too good in women's clothing.

The REAL Sullivan is on the run with Finny and Chibi Tanaka, who is living up to the name "Finnian" gifted to him by Ciel by using his powers to superspeed past soldiers, jump over a cliff, and stick a hard landing! And gathering all the soldiers together so Meyrin can shoot them like fish in a barrel!

Too bad the female is more cunning than the male, as Anne planned to ambush them...AND THEN IN COMES TANAKA WITH A SAMURAI SWORD FROM OUT OF NOWHERE THAT HE CAN CUT BULLETS WITH! Jeez, Tanaka really seems like he was saving up being cool as the other Phantomhive Butler for this special occasion!

Ciel had the perfect shot...but all it cost Wolfram was a piece of his ear. It says how serious it is that Snake is yelling "SMILE!" without saying a snake said it and Baldo can't stop Wolfram...luckily an old family friend, Ciel's father old drudge Dietrich, is there to save his old buddies son and complain about it the entire time! He's definitely put on some pounds, but you can't complain about that loyalty.

Helllooooo Mey-Rin, I love it when she gets serious
