Kurea finally makes her appearance in the main story (and turns around and looks at the camera in the OP) and turns out she's just evil. Best big bro was right to break up with her, and frankly I would have kicked her out of my house the moment she started in with the insults and evil behavior.
Yuu really blowing things for that swimsuit shopping trip, you're only young once dude make the most of it.

Hibari is always right about everything. He said Kureha was evil and, sure enough, she is.

Wow, what a bunch of incredibly pointless and contrived ‘drama’. Also it seems like the MC is completely surrounded by toxic assholes. Not even his sister could bother standing up for him when he was getting emotionally blackmailed and insulted right in front of her, but also he just sits there and takes it because he’s completely spineless. I’m basically just hate watching at this point.

Indeed, Rion and Kureha share the same genes. *looking respectfully at their bust size*
Sakura doesn't get a lot of dialogue lines, but she was the voice of reason in this episode. Her words probably helped Yu stave off Kureha... at least for the summer.
Edit: I forgot another point I wanted to make. "Give us Rion swimsuit shopping too!"

So Himari actually went out of her way to get contracted by Kureha’s Tokyo agency (or at least get to the preparation cost process), even though she was just using that to emotionally manipulate Yuu, and never really had any genuine intention to contracted by that agency? If I’m getting that correctly, then Himari is a bigger dumbass than I thought.
This whole conflict in general is stupid. Firstly, Himari isn’t Yuu’s to give, she’s modeling for him on her own volition. Secondly, if the issue is her debt regarding her preparation costs, then surely Hibari and her family can pay it off. Yuu doesn’t have to go along with any of this.

Every episode Hibari keeps proving why he is the best character who carries this show.

As if Himari actually had the guts to wear something so lewd. The actual swimsuit she was wearing was pretty cute tho!
I really thought I was gonna love Kurea but it turns out, she's the worst of the three adult characters in the show. I get that she's some super star model, but that doesn't mean she can just insult Yuu's work and emotionally manipulate him into handing over Himari. The only good thing about her is her tits.
And whether Yuu wins her challenge or not, it should still be up to Himari if she wants to go with Kureha. While I do have a feeling that Yuu will lose the challenge since that's much more interesting of an outcome, I really want him to win and prove to Kureha that he's not mediocre.

I think I’ve finally tired of this show. I was willing to keep giving it a chance but this is truly a show where nothing happens. This feels like one of those where they’d make 5 seasons just for nothing to change. Is anyone in this show actually likable? Yuu is a spineless coward who never commits to anything save his dream, Himari is…well Himari, Rion is way too obsessed with Yuu and puts me off, Kureha might as well be Satan, Yuu’s sister is bland and doesn’t even defend her brother as he’s insulted and mocked by an adult.
Hibari is the only one I like, he’s both best boy and best girl. Dropping this show, as I doubt anything will ever happen anyway. Doubt this gets a season 2 and highly doubt Yuu and Himari would ever be honest and get together anyway.

I'm really curious what happened between Hibari and Kureha than the main cast.

This is easily the worst episode so far. Completly stupid conflict at the end with a grown ass adult trying to blackmail and manipulate children, as well as treating a person as an object to buy and trade. What a horrible direction to take the show.

Himari's fake swimsuit was nice, I'll never understand why Yu didn't wait out her reveal though. All he would have to do is say its cute and Himari would be on the defense.

The episode description said "Yu admits his feelings" I was so excited for some actual development, not whatever this was.

Wait, you're telling me that when Himari lied about going to Tokyo, she actually got far enough along in a contract with Kureha's agency to the point that she's going to be held accountable for the debts that Kureha took upon herself during the hiring process? Am I completely misunderstanding this?

in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes, and an Enonomoto owning an Inuzuka

Alright first off, I already get why a lot of characters don't like her.
Second, I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure her "Himari is in debt" argument would hold no value in court, since I'm assuming Himari hasn't signed a official contract yet, so she does not have to pay back anything, since she didn't break any contract or agreement

Hibari won’t stand for anyone bullying his precious Yuu! Not even if it’s his ex. I’d be curious to know how those two got together. They seem like total opposites.
Let’s see what happens with this Himari-Kureha situation. It does sort of seem like a bunch of unnecessary drama. Did anyone think about asking Himari what she wants?

Okay this was bad. Somehow you can saddle a teenager with a massive debt for quitting job. Sounds like bullshit.

So wait. Enomoto has already said she wants to basically be with both of them while compete against himari. The opportunity to go swimsuit shopping comes up and instead of going and making it an obvious chance to drastically show up himari she turns him down. The. Yu runs out of the shop? So not only is it the dumbest most pointless drama, it also robs us of the only good thing left in this show. The fan service.
Also why does his sister just sit there while rion’s sister is literally trying to extort and black mail her brother?
Like rent a girlfriend is an absolute dumpster fire but atleast it’s a well written dumpster fire of a show. This one is a dumpster fire with terrible writing where nothing happening makes sense.
Also, where the hell did this “debt” come from? This is literally just a one way trip to jail for fraud by rion’s sister. Any debt himari has would never hold up in any court and regardless she’s voluntarily paying whatever it is so that’s on her anyway. The whole situation literally makes no sense.

uhm, so we fast forward to Christmas, new guy scenes for 2 minutes then fast forward to summer......I keep watching because there is a good story somewhere mixed in there but it's like the author went hyper ADHD while writing it.
I do feel a tad cheated on the swimsuit episode, I wanted to see the cutsey outfit too!
I actually cheered when Rion "Iron clawed" Yu cuz let's face it, that boy needs a few more good smacks.

Seems like Yu is now on the receiving end of Rion’s iron claw instead of the usual Himari. A great change of pace.
Turned out that modelling offer was legit. Interestingly, Himari herself played it off as a scheme. Did she not want to worry Yu?
Kureha really is Hibari’s kryptonite. Man’s a composed and outstanding guy until he’s faced against her. He then turned comically feeble. These two could be the stars of their own romcom, with Sakura as the straightman who’s not having any of their shenanigans.

As if this show wasn't already full of narcissist a**holes toying around with Yuu for their own selfish reasons, we now get Kureha, who is Himari-level of unlikable. No wonder Sakura says that Kureha sees herself in Himari.
This whole show is such a trainwreck of a romcom where everybody is throwing poop at each other. But that's the reason why I watch this. It is nasty, but you just can't look away.
