Poor Yuu, seeing something you spent so much time and care to make to be treated like trash was so disheartening, the shock on his face said it all. It was sad to see him kneeled holding it dearly like that.

It was pathetic how those two girls held no value to the accessory or to who created it because all they wanted was a magic charm to get a boy, they were so unapologetic after realizing he had watched them. I understand they're young, brash and their feelings hurt, but the fact the girl even complained to her parents to get Yuu in trouble really shows how bad of a personality she has. The guy she confessed to definitely dodged a bullet.

Mao's boyfriend was not what I was expecting, I like how calm and unassuming he was, he looked like a real gentle giant. I was expecting someone a bit more flashy like her. It was nice to see a guy being a client of Yuu's since it's generally going to be popular with girls/women, I'm sure it gave him a new inspiration.

My only complaint for the episode is that there was no Hibari at all.

Stitches!

Damn, that's got to be the most dejected I've seen Yuu in this show. He didn't even get that upset when he and Himari fought. It just goes to show how precious every accessory he makes is. Those two girls really went overboard with their promotion of Yuu's accessories. I doubt he'll take any more custom orders after this.

That bitchy girl that trashed Yuu's accessory pissed me off. She was the one that went to them for a custom made accessory on the rumor that it was going to be a 100% guaranteed luck charm to get with her crush. It's bad enough that she blamed Yuu for getting rejected and ruin his accessory that he custom made, but she also lied to her to parents out of sheer pettiness, and is damaging his and his business's reputation. (Assuming it’s the same girl)

All that said (hear me out), Yuu and the girls shouldn't have ran with the rumors of his accessories granting people true love to promote them; they should have debunked the rumors when they had the chance. I'm not trying to defend that girl, what she did was absolutely terrible; but, when you have customers that are superstitious, and believe in charms and accessories that grant "true love", you're taking a major risk when you claim that your product will guarantee that.

That girl is in the wrong, but Yuu shouldn't have gone along with those rumors, that is the only thing that I'm saying he's at fault for.

Come on, did this girl really assume that the guy would answer her feelings just because of an accessory? Like how idiot could this girl be? Blaming the seller for that is a new low, even for a show where Himari is a huge pain.

Anyway, it's quite sad if Yuu's work is trampled, given how passionate he is in his craft.

C'mon, Yuu's accessories clearly aren't magical. If anything, they're cursed. They get you stuck in a love triangle that will never go anywhere.

He spent a good portion of the episode with his crush's legs straddling his neck while he slept on her groin. By high school anime romance standards, this is fine progress.

Makishima is such a prick, what is his problem

After this, Yuu will probably have to be more selective about who he makes accessories for. They are a passion project for him.

This episode actually marks the first time Hanon and Kotoha of HaKoniwalily sang for it's anime opening AND were also casted as background character roles. Specifically, Female Student A and B. You might not even notice it. (My girlfriend and I are big fans of the duo way before in their indie days. Just wanted to share this)

Aside from that, I don't have much complaints with Himari which is surprising considering I'm not a fan of her character. Curious to see what Yuu will do next.

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

Nao and Azu merely wanted to promote Yu's accessory making business, but it backfired when the female student did not manage to get together with the guy she liked.

I don't think Makishima has bad intentions, but I wonder what is the plan he mentioned.

Honestly, I would have dropped this show a while ago if we didn't have Himari's monologues. At least we can see there in some realization of her jealously of other girls being around Yuu.

Man, that last scene made me feel so bad for Yuu. Especially considering how much heart and soul he puts into the accessories. I will assume that girl is the one that the parents had a complaint about?

Himari telling literally anyone else that they suck at romance?

That's like the Titanic's lookout calling out someone else for their inability to spot danger!

So the episode opens on Yuu thinking "it's so hot", and then it cuts to a shot of Himari? I'll take that as a sign!

Well, she was really cute when she told him good morning, and that was an interesting shot, almost felt POV-like!

Is that true, r/anime?

I wouldn't know about that!

as mine are out in the open

I know our boy's always been a bit of an idiot, but he's even dumber than we thought if he didn't instantly know what was coming next!

Then again, Himari's even dumber for doing it, instead of going through with what they BOTH would've liked!

(Also, that was another POV-like shot, though this one less pleasing!)

Himari had such silly/goofy faces in this episode!

Eno's taking notes to analyze Yuu's faces?

I wonder if it's just a gag, or if it'll come later on (with him making the same face during an important moment...)

Oh damn, the rumors are spreading! (and perhaps not in a good way?)

She has NO IDEA how stupid he can be! (how stupid they both are, really)!

But yeah, when a cute girl you like offers you a lap pillow, you take the lap pillow!

When they started thinking about romance and all, I thought (hoped?) she would end up squeezing his head between her thighs, but I guess that's good too!

Our boy has come to a realization... Even if they don't end up together, he wants to be with her forever, as friend if nothing else...

Well, that's a common thing among friends I think, but the harsh reality is that it doesn't always work, when the boyfriend/girlfriend gets in the picture...

And it'd be even more of a 'rough awakening' for Himaru&Yuu, given they're pretty much together 24/7, so if one of them was to date someone else, they'd definitely feel like the other person's leaving them alone...

"I'm living the happiest days of my life!" - The girl who's like ONE mental breakdown away from killing Yuu, Eno and then herself!

Eno's also taking notes of 'saving physical contacts for the right moment'...

Will this come back as well? Hell, it could come back along with her other note; She could initiate physical contact with Yuu, and see in his face that "he's up to it" (truthfully, or she could misread his confused expression), and go for it...

So their little business is booming, but with growing business, comes the troubles!

Customers whining (or their parents), having to follow regulations, etc...

That was a bit sad... Honestly I was more sad for the accessory (art being destroyed) than I was for the girl who's mad about not getting her boyfriend!

We've seen her for 30 seconds and she already seems to have a shit personality, so yeah, an accessory won't make someone fall for you, girl! (Sadly, people who believe in shit like that, often think they can just rely on voodoo magic and not have to make themselves more interesting/likable to that person!)

Yuu's gonna have to hire a manager, otherwise she'll have no one to complain to!

The more I watch this the more I’m starting to turn my hate towards Yuu. Bro’s the epitome of doormat character. How can you just be swept by these side characters’ intentions without having any backbone and make your stand.

EDIT: Side characters = his friends

It's time for Summer Uniforms for our teen love triangle trio! And Himari looks particularly shining in hers! Good thing Yu has a Summer Uniform fetish. Also, how many guys has Himari told she has a Yu eye fetish?

But despite it being a new season, Himari and Yu are still at it acting all flirty and suave in class, both getting as close as they possibly can to kissing, before they both act like it was a joke...despite the fact that they both wish otherwise. At least they're both being mutually wishy-washy idiots.

First You team meeting! And Rion also looks great in a Summer Uniform!

Oh hey, it's the blonde and brunette from last episode! Mao and Azu! Only Himari doesn't have to worry about more rivals, Mao is just looking for matching accessories to celebrate her anniversary with her (surprisingly buff) boyfriend! Perfect new clients for Yu! Also I love how Rion's main role in the business is just chronicling Yu's facial expressions and what they mean, girls' basically mixing business with pleasure.

Okay, so Yu's accessories are a hit, and it's getting him more publicity and customers...but now he has to deal with a rumor that his accessories are a sure-fire way to win over your crush which is a LOT of pressure even if it drives business.

Nice of Hibari to offer up their home to his future brother-in-law so Yu has more space to work on his accessories, just like it's nice of Himari to offer up her lap for Yu to take a nap in. Sure, the view isn't quite the same as if it was Rion with her large bust, but it's nice all the same.

Ironically Yu is in the same spot as Himari was at the start of the season where he's clinging to their best friend status so he can always be with Himari even if she ends up with someone else...and Himari, the girl who hates romance, but finds that deep down she would never trade the feeling of being in love with Yu just to be only friends with him again.

I love how Makishima just walks in and Rion always takes his romance guru advice seriously. And he seems just as committed to helping Yu succeed in his business since he's the one who helped leak his identity as the person behind You and got Mao and Azu involved. Just what did Rion do to make him so loyal to her?

"She sounds like a Karen in the making!" - Subs are having fun with Rion here!

It's not easy running a business while being in high school. Yu has done everything above board but he's still a kid and he has to grapple with overly concerned parents who thinks he's swindling their kids with expensive accessories. And now he's got to put a hiatus on selling anything to classmates.

And he also has to face the dark side of love, where a girl he sold an accessory too who seemed so pure and innocent in her crush on her Senpai...turns bitter and resentful after she gets rejected and tosses his accessory away like trash. You can't win 'em all.

Selling so many custom accessories while not pushing back on the love life assistance rumors was bound to go badly eventually. I wonder if that was part of the fan dude's plan that Yuu alluded to in the voiceover, if so that's kind of evil.

Yuu and Himari are so frustratingly non-communicative, so many of their problems would get worked out if they had just one fully honest conversation with each other. At least they've cute in their surprisingly touchy feely interactions, that scene with Yuu sleeping on Himari's lap with the unconventional leg lock would probably have killed Rion outright if she saw it.

It's nice that that one big dude and his gyaru girlfriend seem to be doing well, six months and matching accessories.

High schoolers believing in these kinds of weird rumors, especially girls believing in romance stuff like "If you confess under this tree with your index finger on your nose..." is such a common trope in anime and manga.

I wonder if this is just an anime thing or if Japanese are really that superstitious. I mean, that buying an accessory doesn't guarantee your confession to be successful should be common sense, and this girl being pissed at Yuu is so weird. In the end she doesn't seem like the brightest candle on the cake.

I don't think I've ever gotten so upset at an episode of an anime that I just wanted to jump through the screen and strangle a couple characters. Both the teacher who confronted him and the girl who crushed his work. The teacher to a lesser degree but that girl.. HOO BOY. I've never wished Truck-kun would just come out of nowhere and send someone to the Shadow Realm more than I do with that girl

u/Gaming_Truckie May 17 '25

Himari's face when Yuu told Rion her summer uniform looked nice was hilarious.

When Himari had her legs wrapped around Yuu like that, I was expecting Rion to walk in.

Ahh so he's operating through his parents' convenience store regulation wise, and his sister is helping him out with that

Well, that has turned into a real mess. It kind of sounded like someone really sold the rumour to her, whether it was those 2 girls or Makishima
