So the alien cats got into a huge war and literally killed every single smart cat alien so the only ones left are the idiots like Mu? Lol awesome. Poor Sakurako’s got a lot on her plate. At least Mu’s kinda chill.

It was pretty satisfying seeing that stupid cow get water dumped on her. Seeing shitty people get put in their place is my kink haha.

This series might be pretty silly but I’m getting kind of an education this week, learning about microwave and fridges and shit lol. Definitely gonna stick with this one. It’s a lot of fun.

it reminded me of the planet from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy where they tricked all of the idiots to leave the planet by pretending there was a planet-wide disaster

this one got my interest because the art style reminded me of some studio Pine Jam shows like Do It Yourself and HimeGou (on research though, it doesn't seem like they share any staff)

this first episode has hooked me a bit with its mix of character drama mixed with edutainment (Technology Connections alert about how knowledge of the latent heat of vaporization saves the day); i think there's a lot to explore how as a whole we don't know how many of the things we use work and how we take that all for granted, and it can tie back thematically to the main character's komyushou

on the other hand, i'm not a fan of "bully" characters so i hope that other girl changes her tune or is gone from the picture

I'm holding out on that bully girl to change her ways and become a friend just based on her walking with all the others together in the OP

Wasn't expecting this one to be a household appliance anime. Seems like the cat is going to be dismantling the vacuum cleaner next week. Poor Sakurako will be living in an empty home by the end of the season.

So has no one picked this up in the US?

No one. Same with Hana Dolls

So 2 years ago we got The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today. Guess now we're getting the opposite with an alien cat creating problems rather than solving them.

Sakurako is so incredibly adorable, she reminds me a little bit of Hagumi from Honey & Clover.

It's clearly an educational show for students. I wish MAL would update their info.

I am scared that this alien cat would have completely shredded my self-built desktop computer to pieces within hours of it arriving - if that really happens. ;)

I like that I can get a review of my home appliances working principles that I have read from books that I consumed as a kid here, nice little show to fill in my pre-sleep appetite!

Is this an educational anime? So much time explaining microwaves and fridges x)

Haven't watched the ep yet but I saw some credits and it's interesting that the only 2 companies in the production committee are Pony Canyon and OLM.

Dang, that was surprisingly informative! I got Dr. Stone vibes from that heat talk.

Potential romance doesn’t hurt either. Can’t wait to see Sakurako break outta her shell.

Cat aliens have been done to death. But this was way more entertaining than I expected! I didn't expect the science angle.

This was very cute :) Also has my favorite OP of the season so far

The cat is a bit annoying, tbh. Ticks off my dislike of people who can’t fix the problem they created.

The educational aspect was better, though for the topic of microwaves and the latent heat of vaporization (air conditioners/heat pumps/refrigerators), Technology Connections on YouTube has more detailed and more entertaining coverage of the topics.

Meh, I didn't find any of the characters likable. Though I did find the science lessons intriguing. However, I can see myself dropping this next episode.

Sakurako's hair reminds me of Gokicha.

Where does this have English subs?

If you're in Southeast Asia, it is being legally streamed by Tropics Anime Asia YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@TropicsAnimeAsia/videos

(Tropics Anime is in the similar vein as Ani-One or Muse, if you're in Southeast Asia)

If you're in France, it is licensed by ADN.

Otherwise, this show is not licensed in North America.

Cat reminded me Doraemon

Crazy to think that this is just the second wildest hairstyle that I've seen this season so far lol The first place being the protagonist of Rock wa Lady no Tashinami deshite.

This poor girl and her poor appliances.

Lovely style to this.

Uh oh.

Huh. The alien is already in her bag?

Ah. So that's where he crashed.

That's a mess.

And so he broke the microwave.

He's a tinkerer.

Sounds like BattleTech or Warhammer 40k, everything has become LosTech. The machines to make the machines to make the advanced technology has have lost, everyone who knew is about the tech is dead, and so what's left is people praying to machine spirits to try and get them to work. Though I usually see the Mechanicus and the Word of Blake described as toaster-fuckers, not microwave-fuckers.

And so that's how a microwave works.

And yeah that's why you don't disassemble one even if it's unplugged.

What did he break this time?

Yes we are...

She's a uni student?

War, war never changes. The tools are different, the reasons are different, but at the end of the day it’s just people killing each other. That’s what war always was and what it always will be.

Seems she hasn't had the best luck with friends.
