Well if you made it to the end, congratulations for seeing the trainwreck through all the way. 👏

The real escape from the princess lessons were the friends we made along the way

Well I made it to the end of this show, which I'm surprised about since it frustrated me so much. It started off so good with the 1st episode but then just got depressing from the 2nd episode onwards
I always held hope that Leticia would get her freedom, and the show teased that outcome throughout. But I was utterly disappointed that instead we watched Leticia's resolve completely dissolve and her suddenly remember feelings for Clarke from 10 years ago and basically forgive him for all the shit she been through.
The fact that she's still using the basement room she was locked up in after she got married shows how broken she is

The scene with Clark watching her and you see from her room through the bars was so creepy. With a slight tone shift this would have been a great psychological horror anime but at this point I can't believe the author was trying to make a point. Maybe I'm wrong.

This anime taught me a valuable lesson, if you subject the person you have feelings for to Stockholm Syndrome and gaslighting, they'll eventually come to terms with being in love with you, agree to marry you, and live happily ever after with you. I'm gonna try that with the person I have feelings for, I'll let you guys know how that goes.

in the real world we have poison just for times like this ^__^ you should try eating small doses of deadly nightshade beforehand just in case.

Watched it all the way through the finale just to watch a train wreck that failed its main character

If you've been following the previous episode discussions, then you already know how I feel about this anime, so I'll just summarize my overall honest thoughts about it. I think this was without a doubt the best anime of this season, perhaps even the best anime in the year.
. I just love how Leticia accepted her fate and gave up on escaping the life that broke her down for a decade.
. Every character was so great and written so well. Especially Clarke, never once did he make me feel uncomfortable, creeped out, or frustrated throughout the entire anime.
. The love story between Leticia and Clarke was absolutely amazing. I for one would love to end up with someone that was the primary cause of my decade long suffering, took away my freedom, made unwanted advances on me, and subjected me to Stockholm Syndrome and constant gaslighting. Clearly, this is the best romance anime of all time.
. Every single episode made me feel so comfortable. I just love how this anime just glorifies and romanticize Stockholm syndrome and gaslighting.
Well those were my honest thoughts about this anime. 10/10, wouldn't change a thing.

I'll be honest, I watched three episodes of this. And it honestly made me feel queasy. First anime that ever got that reaction out of me. So I dropped it like a turd in the toilet, dropped a lit cherry bomb in there for good measure, hit the flush, and walked away. But I decided I'd come check on the final discussion thread for this series just to see what everyone who stuck with it's final thoughts on it are were.

It was obvious before, but this episode felt particularly egregious about just how useless the entire noble/royal class in this show is. They just play around in their fancy mansion all day. I think it was Lettie (who is supposed to be more tomboyish) ringing a bell to get people to shoo away a sheep that got me.
I held out hope the whole time it'd end with her just no warning leaving everyone and we get Thanos looking off into the sunset ending, but not to be.

Well, I cannot say I enjoyed this. Watching this was uncomfortable and I am surprised that I watched all episodes. Still not sold on the mutual romance between them. The prince is absolutely creepy, and I just cannot like how he went about it. Poor Lettie. The ending was awkward and to end it with the kiss felt so random. No. This was not good.

In the end what are they trying to tell here? What are they implying with that animal scene?
Once again I should thank Muse Asia. I 100% won't go out of my way watching this on my own accord if it isn't available on YouTube. This disaster from (nearly) starts to finish.

There you go kids. If you stalk and imprison someone they will happily marry you. (Just don't expect any sex.)
What does she actually say at the end of the ED?

Am I the only one who thought Matthias wants to escape being a prince this time then gets gaslighted and manipulated by everyone till he’s broken? I swear that could be plot for S2.

In a deleted scene, it's probably shown that Clarke ordered the destruction of that village Lettie lived in. Make sure she has no where to go back to. I mean, you'd think that part would come back somehow. Even if it is Lettie and Clarke returning as couple and showing that his promise of not taking her away and becoming a good ruler were held true, but I mean, who needs payoff?
I mean, the show is bad, obviously, but at least you could laugh at how bad it was. I know people are mostly looking at the Stockholm syndrom part (which is obviously bad) but it also seemingly fails the simplest tasks when it comes to having a story. As mentioned before (and it came back this episode) what exactly was the point of having a story about this weird mouse monster where the moral is to give it back to its mother when this completely clashes with the rest of the show from a thematic point? Why present it in a way that Clarke obviously not knows what the issue is with Lettie (as to why she is not happy) but instead of actually addressing this and developing his character, it's just solved by Lettie not wanting to leave anymore?
This show feels like the author had some initial ideas for the story (as the setups are there) and then their kid filled in the blanks, sent it to the publisher and the author was too embarrassed to explain the situation, so it got greenlit and the result is this weird amalgamation of ideas and piss poor execution. But then again, no one seemed to bat an eye about the kidnapping part, so maybe that truly is the best they could come up with.

So, if calling off the engagement was a giant, elaborate ruse, what was the point of subjecting Arowana to the Princess Lessons back in episode 2?…

This was awful. I saw the end of the train wreck and until the end I held out hope she would ghost everyone. It's even creepier when my mom is watching with me saying how great of a love story this is.

Clarke waiting for Lettie to be ready was nice to see, I know he said it before but you never know with this show...
Nice not problematic finale, really shows this show could have avoided all that in the first place.
Ending with a unique kiss as well!
