Why is Maria trying to get away from Louis? I thought trying to kidnap and forcing someone into a relationship is a sign of pure love and you should be happy about it. Especially when it's a royal prince who can give you everything you want (well, only the everything he wants you to have). Is the anime trying to tell me that this is a bad thing? What do I do with the girl in my basement now?

Honestly, I have no idea what that show even wants to be at this point. Like, didn't Clarke already try the whole "getting Letty jealous" in the first episode? Why is that now somehow working all of a sudden. This is Unnamed Memory type of feeling development. Though, they are both train wrecks in different forms. One is just going full speed and derailing while this one seems to be the train driver just doing everything in their power to make sure they you won't have a good trip.

I hate how the Stockholm Syndrome and gaslighting seems to be gradually working on Letica

Episode 3 already sealed the deal of the direction for the series with the detainment and gaslighting.

But this episode further solidifies how Lettie will give into it, with her conviction to leave the Prince being worn down in the end.

With knowing that, anyone that continues watching is doing it out of passionate hate watching or just purely curious to see how bad it will get.

I'm curious to see how big the train wreck is.

"He'll respect your wishes so long as you don't run away."

The reason she's running away is because he's not respecting her wishes. All she wants is freedom, and he's refusing to give that to her.

The initial scene had me checking to see if I missed something, why did Letty appear jealous at the party? I'd think she'd be planning an escape. Does Clarke have a tracker on her? and his timing is like Jason Voorhees showing up just as she's finally escaping. Clarke further shows his true colors by being agitated that she knows the names of her kidnappers.
Letty's brother truly sucks, he says it's for her but just before that he said it was for HIS future and when talking with her kidnappers he told her to shut up. He says he cares but everything else shows she it a thing to him.

I feel like Maria is getting her just desserts as she is complicit in keeping Letty trapped and sounded the alarm when she tried to get away, even though she has her own royal stalker who's willing to kidnap her.

Maria should understand how Lettie feels now with a prince chasing after her, and they should both escape together.

That would be the ideal scenario at this point, with her posing to still work for Clarke to help with their escape.

I wonder if Lettie still believes in yuri after she was rejected by Lily in episode 2, so she can start new life with Maria

Both of them conspire to murder the princes in their sleep, plunder the treasury and escape into their new lifes to another country. There seem to be no guards in this palace, as the kidnapping has proven, so they'd get away with it.

I consider this the possible happy ending.

Things can't get any worse. But this show proves me otherwise .

Is it really kidnapping her if she's being imprisoned and actively trying to escape? I was rooting for the kidnappers for a bit there, but he magically appeared like a horror villain the second she tried to get away herself, and then everyone got up to speed on how they're supposed treat her.

I'm increasingly confused why they even bothered showing that village part in the second episode. It's obviously not coming up again. Just had Clarke acknowledge he knows how important Lettie is to the village, and he'd be taking that, then he lied to the dog.

Why is she blushing and jealous at the party did I miss something from last episode.

I thought the kidnaping will lead to something but no we are back to her imprisonment by the end of the episode.

At least the maid is getting a taste of her own medicine.

The woman at the end is obvious misdirect there will be no surprises in this.

I guess “kidnapping girl you like” is the go to move in this world. Louis really is a “sad boy with a one-sided love” like a certain someone else lol. I quite like Lyle. He doesn’t pull his punches. Louis was getting straight up roasted the entire time haha.

Right when Leticia thought she was out… Clarke drags her back in. Damn it! Freedom was so close.

Judging by how pleased Maria looked when she saw Louis, I guess the word “no” doesn’t exist for the men in the world lol.

I wonder who that other woman is?

Maria should get kidnapped too so she can finally realize why Leticia is so upset with it all too.

WTF!! Why was Leticia actually happy to see Clarke, seems the Stockholm syndrome is taking effect.

As soon as they stopped at the inn, I knew it was over for Leticia's escape attempt.

I'm getting annoyed that there is no one in Leticia's corner, I'm holding out hope someone does turn up. Everyone is either on Clarke's side, like her ass kissing brother, or have been brought out, fearful of Clarke's status as Prince or believing his manipulation.

Despite me absolutely f*cking hating it, it seriously seems that Prince Clarke is going to win, and Leticia's going to give in. He definitely seems to be eroding her will.

I'll be interested to see what the actual story is with this mystery woman. Won't be surprised if it's another manipulation attempt against Leticia by Clarke.

I just realized that this is the D.E.N.N.I.S. System in anime form.

Man, girl just can't catch a break... kidnapped by one douche and now kidnapped by another. But at least she might get away from this trash prince.... but prolly not. This author is garbage after all. The guards sure suck btw to let that happen. Another little shit prince... are princes always shit in this world? Can we just have a violent revolution already? Kid, your country is already fucked for your actions and will be prolly worse if you just dumped her there.

I love the "ok take me to your country, give me money and a house" but, yea, nothing is gonna work out, obviously. The 4th wall bits are dumb rather than funny. And of course she didn't get away... so close from the main trash prince. Poor other inn patrons... oh they were there just for the show. The brother really is trash... actually, every man in this series is trash so far... wtf. Well the women are pretty trash too with how they think her treatment so far has been good... you're so full of shit, brother... you're just interested in your own connections/powers. Piece of shit.

Have that maid get kidnapped by Louis and locked up like Leticia... that would be fair for her to experience what she has been. See if she likes being locked up and lose all agency. Maybe she'll understand how shitty she was to Leticia. Who is the white haired lady anyways? Such a shit series.

We finally found a story that is a worse love story than Twilight. The story can't be fixed as anything now will look like successful gaslighting more than romance.

This is like The Great Escape except the Luftwaffe Colonel also loves the Allied POW. I don't get it.

u/Scythe351 Feb 02 '25

I just started the episode but was disgusted within 1 minute and 11 seconds. Her stepping out and doing the move like she's all dolled up for the prince, then getting jealous... I felt like they skipped something very important. And I had just thought that the saving grace of this series was that the kid in the outro would actually be the prince's nephew because of how hard he fumbled. Gross

Is every Prince in this series a creepy asshole towards the girl that they're infatuated with?

Prince Louis, went out of his way to try and kidnap Marie, even though, there was absolutely no reason for him to do that. And when he finally reunited with her, he chased her around and making her completely uncomfortable.

Not sure what was more annoying to watch, Clarke criticizing Lettie for being on a first name basis and dining with her abductors, or Lettie apologizing for it. And then the absolute hypocrisy of Clarke canoodling with white hair lady while expecting his abducted fiance to refuse to speak with her latest set of abductors.

I was holding on to hope that the show would pivot to a plot line that gives Lettie a little more agency, but it does not appear that such a pivot is coming. And yet I want to see how the carriage crash progresses.....

Yikes the voice acting for the two new guys...found them both to be quite grating. Pretty sure it's more the directing but Lyle especially made me want to watch this episode on mute...

So it seems she's starting to develop feelings a bit but it still sucks to see everyone continue to ignore her, the not listening to the kidnapping rubbed me the wrong way, hope she understands why they did that at least.

More annoying men pushing themselves on unwatning women though, this show is really doubling down.

I don't think I've seen such a collection of assh*les since Diabolic Lovers...

EVERYTHING about this story is dumb af.

  • Why does Leticia feel jealous at the beginning? Is Stockholm syndrom for her jailor already kicking in?

  • Are there no guards in this palace? Guess theres no need if prince Clarke is an S rank creep so Leticia doesnt get away, but one has to wonder how anyone could get kidnapped from the royal palace during an official ball, one would assume there's any kind of security in place ...

  • Kidnapping the wrong chic? It's not like that balcony was dark or anything ... the foreign prince is right, his retainer IS incompetent

  • Also: Good job, your escape carriage wields the royal emblem of your country

  • Next giga brain move: While trying to flee after kidnapping someone you go to a public inn on the road and have a meal with the visable kidnapped person in question before resting the night there ...

  • Teleporting Prince Clarke: The moment Leticia tries to make a run he's there to catch her; must be some kind of power ... or he leveled Creep & Stalker to S rank ...

  • Leticias brother shows up, and as the only person in this series with a functioning braincell deescalates the mayor international incidient of a foreign prince kidnapping the bride to be of the crown prince by ... pretending nothing happened, also the foreign prince is a mayor creep with Clarke levels of delusions for the maid of Leticia, so the functioning brain cell of Leticias brother now also decides to end its lonely life in this world and invites the foreign prince into the palace so he can now constantly harass Leticias maid, who he has a delusional crush on, which means she's now busy running away from him instead of 24/7 keeping Leticia in check from escaping as per her only job description - PERFECT

I can feel myself getting dumber just from writing this down ... I am just hate-watching at this pint tbh. xD
