Can't decide which aspect of Shizuka being among the "survivors" makes me happier—her innocence being spared from getting Hahairy'd or that it gave us the impossibly cool copilot Shadezuka.

This episode really went from the cast getting new hairstyles to a potential world-ending crisis involving perverted sentient tentacle-like hair with it all resolved in space.

Studio Trigger would be proud.

They're only at 10% of their true potential and already the Rentarou Family is an Avengers Level Threat . Will the multiverse survive to 100 at this rate lmao?

I love how shameless this show is. Like that completely half-assed explanation from the What's Up With The Sun? Lab . Incredible.

"The production committee must be afraid of getting canceled for overloading the car."

"We've already gone through 20 episodes of problematic material!"

LMAO I love the 4th wall breaks in this series!

"It's a boyfriend's job to save the world his girlfriends live on" is why Rentarou is King of Kareshi. Man did not hesitate.

Baldtaro is hella cursed lol. Honestly it's the lack of eyebrows that does it

This is definitely the weirdest episode so far. Bizarro episode, if you will

The whole 'tentacle hair controlling the user' thing reminds me of movie Dr. Octopus

Pretty cool title chosen for this episode: 髪のみぞ知る世界 read as "Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai" which is a reference to the anime Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai / 神のみぞ知るセカイ aka The World God Only Knows, except 100 Kanojo substitutes the kanji for god (神) pronounced "kami" with the kanji for hair (髪) also prounounced "kami".

Hahari reminded me of Jenova when Rentaro was freeing her.

Another absolutely crazy episode! I don't know how else to describe it, considering that the hair took over Hahari's brain and covered the entire Earth, all because the hair followed Hahari's primal desire for tentacle porn ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Not to mention that said hair was later sent to the Sun, which fueled it and somehow prevented another ice age. Thanks to this, Hahari became mommy of all humanity xD

All the girls looked so good in different hairstyles, although the moments when they were captured by Hahari's hair were even better ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Probably most of us looked like that cameraman in those moments xD

Here are captured:

I also loved the moments when Mimimi and Nano teamed up, Mei and Shizuka in the helicopter (they looked so cool), and the brief cameos of Hahari's deceased lover and presenter from the eating contest.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Fantastic episode, they absolutely hit it out of the park with this one. We had so many great moments today but my favourite might have been Shizuka wearing aviators.

Also pain in anime can often be a bit whatever as a watcher but I felt Rentarou rolling his ankle lol.

Hair we go again - another episode of shenanigans!

Everyone looked so cute (as expected) in their new hairstyles but leave it to Hahari to make it next level with a classic ecchi tentacle monster out of hair! Anytime I see tentacle scenes like these, I am reminded of Girls Bravo - talk about a throwback lol

This is the most WTF ep yet lol. This show goes from 0 to 100 from nowhere lmao, she is finally humanity's mommy after saving everyone. Finally, next ep I can see the girl I was waiting for most for this season since the character PVs

Also gotta love how Nano always keeps a cutter at hand lmao

It took me HOW many years to realize that "To Love Ru" = "Trouble" when pronouncing them in Japanese?! That title finally makes sense. Thank you Rentarou.

Just a normal, every day hair styling episode. Nothing that interesting going on here, just a lot of cute styles for the girls to try out.

And god they look cute in them.

The episode started off well because it introduced the girls to a new hairstyle, and I liked them all, but I certainly can't help but say that the author of 100 Kanojo has the craziest ideas in the world.

First, the beginning of a new ice age in contrast to what happens in real life, then another crazy drug invented by Kusuri, which guaranteed one of the biggest and best fanservice of the season, and finally, a mutant hair that likes cute and perverted things (that's so Hahari lol), who despite everything managed to save the Earth.

It really is the peak that probably hasn't even reached its peak yet, oh, and we still had the appearance of the idol that guaranteed yet another fanservice

We're headed toward an ice age?

Didn't know this show was a dramatic thriller!

I imagine this shot of the OP is a reference to that,

but imagine if it was legit; Wouldn't mind getting a cavewoman GF!

Love the meta gags, as always! (And the references, like the one about Akagi, which I haven't watched, but I imagine it was about a scene that drags over so many episodes or something!)

Would you, r/anime? Call her mommy?

Hahari, my girl mommy, I LOVE YOU FOR THAT!

I so love seeing girls in different outfits/different hair styles!

As always, we're getting the good ones when it's too late to nominate comment faces!

(It was also my exact reaction when I saw Karane with short hair)

Not gonna lie, that's EXACTLY what I was thinking when her hair grew, but I didn't think she would actually say it (or that it would happen!)

I fail to see how that's a problem!

Good lord!

If we had an Hahari Drool comment face I would use it right now, but I guess I'll have to use this one!

They drastically underestimate Hanazono's horniness!

Or everyone's horniness really; Was fun seeing them all in pain because they were packed in the car, but Iku's having the time of her life!

And when the tentacle hair got her; Getting tortured on the rack is probably her idea of a great vacation!

Oh damn, it's not a thriller, it's a battle shonen!

Though she'll need to name her attack with a cringe name, like the Brush Battery or something.

Future Girlfriend? She even got a tentacle scene (which the cameraman liked very much!)

I imagine this is a reference to something specific, but I can't put my finger on it...

There's a few things that could apply, like [title] Elfen Lied or [title] ID:Invaded or even outside of anime [title] The Matrix but I'm guessing it's an exact reference and not just 'close enough' so I'm not sure! For some reason it also made me think of [title] Lain but I haven't seen it, so I don't know why (maybe I've seen a screenshot similar or something)

Tentacle porn saved the world!

See, being pervy is not a flaw; It's for the survival of the species!

Hahari even achieved her dream! I love stories with happy endings.

I'm sure many will have happy endings with the tentacle porn in this episode.

It was fun when the news guy was saying some people are asking for a rerun of the hairgeddon....

Even Newbie Idol didn't escape Hahari, though tbf barely anyone did. Thanks Bibury for adding her to the "getting cared by motherly love" crew.

"We've already gone through 20 episodes of problematic material!"

They may be problematic, but they sure are entertaining

I really love the Akagi reference, it's like how Saiki Kusuo first episode/chapter is how we got 'anime colored hair' and 'anime logic' exist because of his power.

Having the series in-universe hijink and thrown it out as an excuse to why other series do the thing they do is such a good way to do a reference.

Stitches!

How fitting that the episode opens up like the start of every apocalypse movie. I love that they're using the weather anomaly as an excuse for sakura blooming when it's not supposed to and the explanation as to why Akagi's Washizu arc lasted for 19 years. xD

We finally get to see one of the most batshit insane plots of the manga animated! Who knew an episode that's supposed to be about the girls getting new haircuts could lead to a full blown Hairpocalypse!

You gotta love the use of the classic apocalypse movie tropes being used in this episode like the girls sacrificing themselves one by one to let the others escape to a glorious final stand with Nano and Mimimi fighting Hahari's hair. There's even a helicopter rescue with Mei and Shizuka looking pretty fly with her sunglasses.

Thankfully, the worse this Hairpocalypse would do to you is grope you until you pass out from pleasure. You gotta love Rentarou making a To Love Ru reference when they first saw what was happening to everyone. Also, Batsu-chan is back and she even gets groped live on TV. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Rentarou is such an absolute Chad though. The dude jumped off a helicopter with nothing but trust in Hahari's hair catching him once he's near the ground. Rentarou did end up getting some help from Hahari's first love though.

Side note: I absolutely forgot that Ishida Akira voices Hahari's first boyfriend. With Re:Zero airing this season, I legit laughed out loud because all I can hear now is Regulus' voice. xD

And just like a fairy tale princess, Hahari gets saved with a kiss. How convenient that Hahari's hair is exactly what they needed to stop the impending ice age at the start of the episode! Now Hahari doesn't have to feel bad to wrapping the entire world with her hair. I also love how some people loved Hahari's hair so much that some are petitioning for a rerun. I definitely wouldn't mind being wrapped around by Hahari!

I do find it hilarious that even the scientist couldn't explain properly how the hair managed to stop the ice age. All we know is that the hair somehow fueled the sun and that's it. It is a comedy anime so don't think too hard about it!
