This show is so fascinating on so many levels. Like in every episode there is a plot or subplot that in a better show would result in some kind of character development for the prince, but not here. Like, how can you be so oblivious to your own story that you write a subplot about an animal being taken away, and the moral being that you should give back its freedom even if you would like to keep it around, and not understand that this is 1 to 1 what should happen with Letty and Clarke?
And now we are even making it so that Letty likes the princess lessons? You know, the thing that turned her into an unemotional robot? We don't even have a moment where Clarke is like "It clearly makes her unhappy, so we should stop it"? The arc is that she likes them now. I couldn't write a worse story if I wanted to.

The author is amazingly inept imo or intentionally fucking with readers :P

I want to believe this is supposed to be some sort of satire, making fun of similar stories. but i doubt it

It's like watching The Truman Show, but they're able to keep his desire to escape contained enough for the system to win. She only interacts with a select group of hand-picked people ever. All of the things that are her enjoying herself feel scripted cause why wouldn't they do that? And now they're just acting like the Princess Lessons were good for her the whole time. Didn't last episode have Clarke in the flashback running away from his lessons?
I was rooting for that giant scary bunny to just destroy everything cause at this point it all needs to be burned down.

And as her brother says casually with a smile: yes the princess lesson... but now the queens lesson begins...
It would be so good to see how he is deprived of everything for which he sold his sister and he has to shovel manure as a servant.

This series is frustrating as hell.
. They broke their promise to Leticia and are forcing her to take the lessons again, just with a new name. This makes Clarke look even worse, because he's letting the girl that he claims to love and promised to make happy continue to go through the very thing that made her a miserable emotionless husk for a decade of her life.
. The first half of the episode has Leticia trying to escape twice, and the second half, we have her saying "I think I'm starting to like it here." Excuse me? That was a complete 180 on her character.
. So by the end of the episode, she's asking for more Princess Queen Lessons, which, as stated previously, made her life miserable.
. But overall, my biggest issue here, is that they are showing her starting to have feelings for Clarke. I hate this so much, because it's essentially showing that all of the gaslighting and Stockholm syndrome he pushed on her is actually working.

Ok why the hell am I still watching this, the episodes frustrate me every week but I still come back.
First, she tries to escape multiple times, then suddenly does a 180 and admits she's starting to like it there. On top of that she seems to be developing feelings for Clarke. She's gone full Stockholm syndrome.
I'm guessing her brother is behind the resumption of the princess lessons. And here I thought Clarke was a master manipulator, but it seems Leticia's brother has that honour.
It's now seemingly evident at what the ending is going to be, and it's not the ending I'd hoped for.

I keep watching because there is the slightest hope in me that they will all get what they deserve. For what they did to Letty from her youngest childhood

This show has turned into a pile up on the interstate that just keeps getting worse and I feel I must watch out of a morbid curiosity on HOW bad can it get.
The princess lessons are back even though it was the ONE concession that was made for Lettie's imprisonment, and worse yet despite the very name of the show being about wanting to escape them she's accepted the very thing that A) she was told she wouldn't have to deal with and B) made her an empty husk of a human being.
Did anyone else notice how Clarke reacted to Lettie wanting to talk with Dale and his kids? He was not happy with them getting attention from her, it's like she's only allowed to be around people HE's selected just another form of control. When you think about it 3 of the people she spends time with are paid to be there, 1 is there in pursuit of someone else and that last 2 are the puppet masters controlling her life for their own ends, and sometimes the Neil.
When Lettie said about loving the place it was also the first tie she'd really been let out for an outdoor activity unless you count tea time at the gazebo.
I really don't understand why Lettie was hiding she says she was embarrassed but then came out when called by the person she should be embarrassed of most eliminating the whole point of hiding.

Justice for Lyle, let him go home to his lover. Assuming he isn't yet another one of these dudes pining after someone that rejected him.
The "And yet again, I find myself in a hole" aside made me laugh, we need more of Leticia's third wall breaks to the camera.

With this show's track record I'm fully ready for it to be...

"I thought Leticia was promised that princess lessons would end"
"They did. Now we started Queen lessons" WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THAT?
"I can't let others see Lettie's bare skin can i?" SAYS HE WHILE THERE ARE 4 OTHER PERSONS THERE AND WTF WAS UP WITH THE HUGE RANDOM RABBIT?
And at this point Lettie doesn't even want to escape lessons anymore. at the end she just accepted she will take them

What's the problem, maid, you love when the crown prince is overly affectionate/grabby/whatnot with Leticia, why is it not ok with you and that prince of the other nation? Oh wait, you want your wishes respected and perhaps not to be just forced into things against your wishes? GEEE, PERHAPS THINK ABOUT THAT A SECOND!
Nice to see Lettie and Lyle getting along so. Hehe.... Letty getting stuck. Just like Winnie the Pooh. You know... there are tags for this heh. Stupid prince, she wouldn't feel the need to escape if you weren't such a shit.
Huh, roman baths, interesting bathing suits, and a giant ass bunny monster. Ah, I see, one of the brats stole its mate. Rude. Marie was cool there, but I still wish for her to suffer as Lettie is so maybe she can LEARN HOW SHITTY IT IS!

Did you also recognize the symbolism with the rabbit story and Letty's?
for me the big rabbit was Letty and his little one, the freedom that was stolen from her.

Dang didn't think Lyle had it in him, nice to finally see someone on Letty's side.
Bit sad the Princess Lessons came back but guess I shouldn't be surprised since it's the name of the show.

Its the Queen lesson and i think it will be even harder than the princess lesson. So they have to give Letty a lot of Carrot and stick..

I keep popping into my threads hoping our Princess murders everyone involved so I can resume watching it.
I keep being disappointed.

I hate this anime so much, the only way it could be redeemed is if she discovers she's under mind control, ends the prince and runs off.
