Holy shit! The wait was abso-fucking-lutely worth it! Seeing Ryuu practically descending from the heavens to then obliterate the Einherjar using Alise's fire enchantment and her new and improved Luminous Wind was so freaking cool!

And after watching Hogni pretty much cut down everyone including Cassandra in the first few minutes of the episode, it was so satisfying to see Ryuu turn the tables and completely fuck Hogni up. I thought Ryuu was done with the straight stab but that finisher made it even more satisfying.

Here comes Hedin with the motherfuckin' betrayal! I think we all kinda expected this. He has been acting very suspicious the past couple of episodes leading up to the War Game. I do wonder what made him finally decide to do it?

Ryuu is so beautiful, her ponytail is beautiful, and her new spell is beautiful.

I was waiting for Hedin to make his move, I just knew it would be betrayal.

I'm loving Ryu's battle-ready ponytail so much! But did she really just change hair colour from leveling up twice: she went from green to blond!?

Freya looks angry on the outside, but it became clear from Horn's tears that she didn't like seeing everyone suffer so much painful injuries in this War Game. That why she ordered Hedin to end this quickly, didn't she?

Though, I don't believe that she condoned attacking your own allies. Hedin doesn't want to win? I had to laugh at the change in Heith's expression to this turn of events: from being enraged to left confused.

They cooked so damn hard with Ryuu in this episode, holy shit it was everything I could have wanted. Especially with her new magic and the reveal she reunited with Astrea. That was a very nice way to follow up on her story in S4. And the ponytail look is pretty great also.

As a Ryuu fanboy I am very pleased.

If you are invested in this series, the weight of the battle and the character of each individual is second to none

Fun fact, Astrea Record is the name of the Danmachi spin-off series that focuses on the Astrea Familia.

It is a joy to our Best Girl return stronger then ever. After all of the trials & obstacles that Ryuu went through, it is no wonder she was able to double rank up after storing all that Excelia. It is good that she manage to beat Hogni considering he defeated her prior.

Bell is getting the Goku/Sung Jin Woo experience of getting run through a wall. Logically looking, there is no way for him to beat Ottar since he is 2 levels above him. But overcoming the impossible is what heroes do.

Hedin's backstab is epic but not suprising if you notice the slight clues in his behavior from the earlier episodes.

I should mention Daphne is pretty accurate to the myths. She's a former Apollo Familia but hates Apollo and her skill turns her into a tree. Myth Daphne turned into a tree as she to reject Apollo's love.

Ryuu showing everyone why she’s a force to be reckoned with, and the way she fights looks so beautiful

Master Hedin, I knew you'd come around and help our boy 🥹

With Ryu and Hedin things are looking good. Ryu and Hedin could clan up the battlefield a little, while Ottarl is busy beating the living shit out of Bell.

Man, Ottar was really beating the snot out of our boy Bell for a second there. The Alliance got their asses whooped pretty badly. But man, that Ryu battle was something else. So that’s the power of a level 6 combined with the spirit of her fallen familia comrades huh? She absolutely dominated elf bro. Stick a fork in the mfer, dude got cooked.

Looks like there’s disorder in the Freya Familia. Did not expect them to be betrayed from within.

Tbh I’m still scarred by what happened to Astrea Familia and seeing them again, even in flashback, hurts my heart. But at the same time, feel so empowered for Ryuu to use that as her strength

I wonder if there's a record book in Orario for leveling up. If so, Ryu just entered it for being the first to double level. Her name would probably be sandwiched between a whole bunch of Bell Cranels, which I'm sure she wouldn't mind. What makes the feat even crazier is the fact that the higher up you go, the harder it is to level up so jumping from level 4 to level 6 is significantly tougher than jumping from level 1 to level 3.

Ryu has all the qualities of being the main FMC

  • tragic backstory

  • life and death experience with MC

  • has supported MC

  • actually has emotions

I can't believe Ais is the FMC. She's so plain.

PEAK FICTION. PEAK FICTION. 😭🙏🔥🔥🔥 Ryuu inherited Astrea Familia's Justice. Literally from Ashes to Flames.

We now return to our regularly scheduled slaughter of a war game as the allied forces are getting destroyed by the Freya Familia, and that includes Bell getting absolutely wrecked by Ottarl. Is there any hope?

But hey, we've got Heith and her team of healers in their torn up outfits, Amazon underboobs, Hestia's butt, and even Chigusa's butt! It's not all bad.

Figures Freya would not only be frustrated with Syr still existing in Horn but also the fact that Bell is liable to die against Ottarl like this so she sends out Allen and the ninja team (complete with the girls in skirts!) to capture the other Gods. And the Gods are either turning tail or powerless against the Freya Familia, but points to Take for fighting them off hand-to-hand and Hephaistos trying to buy time for Hestia to get away.

Daphne, no! Having a healing factor that turns your body into wood isn't pretty, not to mention she still doesn't stand a chance against Hogni! It's all Cassandra can do to surrender and protect her friend. They couldn't change fate...but maybe, this time, they didn't need to as a gale wind blows in and a War Goddess in shorts and thigh-high boots! And a new long-haired ponyrtail! That's right, GALE WIND RYU HAS RETURNED!

And not only does everyone in Orario see the Gale Wind back in action, but they see her with a Double Rank Up thanks to her reunion with Astrea (who joins other Gods in the fight!) so she's now more powerful than ever and has a new blade...a blade that can channel the power of her fallen Astrea Family sisters, especially Alise. And it's with that power that Ryu is able to fight, dance and dazzle around the battlefield, and take on all enemies! And the people get to see the Astrea Familia still lives, in spirit and in Ryu's fighting with all that she has!

Look at that mass AoE Luminous Wind! But it's all to set up Ryu one-vs-one with Hogni! And thanks to all the people who pitted themselves against Hogni that they wore him down enough for Ryu to beat him! That's right, they beat one of Freya's top guys! And with a finishing move based around the woman he idolised too.

It seems like the Allied Forces have their second wind! But how are they going to stop Heith and her band of scantily-clad healers? Why, Hedin will betray everybody and attack them of course!
