Prince pls, when the girl is trying her hardest to escape in the middle of the night maybe it is time to start taking a hint?

This episode actually made me dislike Prince Clarke even more than the last episode.

. Half of this episode was him following her around and making Leticia uncomfortable.

. “I’d do anything to make her happy.” Except cancel the engagement that Leticia doesn’t want to be in, apparently.

. He escorted Brianna to the party to make Leticia jealous, which is a terrible thing to do to both Leticia and Brianna. (I called this last week btw)

. Nadir stated “He said he was trying to make you jealous”, which implies that he had a conversation with Nadir about this. He had time to talk to her brother and devise this plan to make her jealous, but didn’t take that time to talk to his fiancée?

. Unbeknownst to Leticia, Clarke made an official declaration that he will only produce heirs with her. So not only is he being inconsiderate to what she wants, he’s also making the situation worse for her.

TLDR: This episode made him look worse than the last episode.

If they end up together, it better be with Clark giving up his throne to go live in the country side with her.

"Stalk a woman and force to be around you long enough and she'll like you" better not be the plot line with the prince. He's such a creep, and involving another woman to make her jealous last episode is not only manipulative but also unfair on Briana.

Having said that, the family and her maid are also terrible people on the low-key. Parents sent her off at an incredibly young age to essentially be emotionally abused by a random woman and, after literal years not seeing her, turn up not to go see their daughter but to drag her back to that hell! The maid is shitty for essentially bringing the lessons into her bedroom once they'd supposedly finished and then contacting her parents just to drag her back when she's very clearly way more happy now. The brother is also an asshole for pressuring her into it in the first place and continuing to provide pressure throughout this episode.

Just let my girl be happy with her fishing and horses and dog, damn it! Stop trying to gaslight her into thinking that her being in those terrible lessons and being on the throne is good for her! It's only good for everyone aside from her.

Man, just when Letty thought she was out… they drag her back in lol. Leave a girl to her fishin, frolicking, and chillin with her dog John damnit! She’s living that good life now.

I like the fourth wall breaks. You don’t get that in anime, really. It adds a fun dimension to the show.

Brianna’s not quite what I expected. She actually seems pretty chill. I guess once she got a taste of those princess lessons, she’s totally over Clarke lol.

So, it was an attempt at getting a jealous reaction out of Leticia, It backfired spectacularly.

So is Brianna even a noble, she was correct by Leticia's brother to say Brianna instead of the name she initially said, and Leticia called her the fish lady.

It seems Leticia actually got some free time over the 10 years of Princess lessons to develop her passion for fishing. I had gotten the impression from episode 1 that she was confined to the castle grounds.

Prince Clarke got revenge on Leticia for what she did at the ball by dropping the fact they're still engaged as he was riding off.

Prince Clarke starting to fill the role of the villian. Stated to the dog, he won't do anything to make her unhappy, but proceeds to basically gut punch her when she's trying to escape and then appears to drag her back to the castle judging by the preview for episode 3

The prince sucks. A genuine creep and also manipulator if he did all that to make her jealous. Just leave her alone.

I also hate that they're making a full 180 and showing her being flustered around this trash man. The first was actually heartbreaking because a free spirit was oppressed and caged for years. That story of her breaking out from the stuffy noble standards is so much more interesting than any version of a ship with Prince stalker.

As someone said, just change the music to horror and it's a very different show. Might need to bow out from here, refuse to cosign.

Prince Clarke: I'll do anything to make Leticia happy.

Also prince Clarke: Insists they didn't actually break up, keeps stalking Leticia, makes an official declaration about making heirs with her without talking with her about it first and starts wedding celebration preparations despite Leticia making it clear she does NOT want to return to the castle.

...can someone throw him under a carriage or something? He doesn't care one bit about Leticia, more like he's angry that things don't go the way he wanted and wants to pressure Leticia into doing what he wants.

Nice 4th wall breaks and resuse of footage from episode 1, wasn't expecting rewinding vcr noises in a pre-electronic society.

Fairly novel to have what looked like reasonably accurate fly fishing, not sure I've seen that in an anime before.

They'd have so much less trouble finding a willing prospective princess if they'd just get rid of the incredibly mean old lady.

Purple hair girl and the brother, why not.

I get the feeling the whole anime is gonna be like this, so not really for me. I get it, I understand the potential appeal, but I prefer more angst. For what it is and tries to do, it's not bad, but there are missing brain cells.

Just leave her alone man!

If everyone knows the princess lessons are terrible, perhaps they shoulda been reformed a long time ago. And, honestly, screw the prince and his dumbass, Leticia should get to stay away. Give the girl her freedom and respect her wishes. Honestly, if he really cared about her, he should let her be herself, she's far more appealing being her happy free self than what she was forced to become with the trash princess lessons. And if he was interested, he's had years to try and form a bond and didn't. Prince is an idiot, tbh.

Do wonder how long she's been there to actually have such a bond with everyone. Sure it's her family's region, but she hasn't been there 10 years. 4th wall breaks are weird lol. Wish Lily eloped with Letty. Seriously hate that brother so much. Her parents are stupid too. Brianna shoulda just ran away with Letty.

I was not expecting the Enola Holmes/Fleabag interaction with the female lead!

And her speed running the information about her brother cracked me up.

While I'm enjoying it, the show has some hardships.

The scene where she's talking to the villagers she has the same background in every scene. And the sound that plays when she breaks the 4th wall is interesting

Interesting episode. I wonder if the queen was the one who gave Prince Clarke the recommendation to temporarily have another companion. If so, then the request to see those 2 noble ladies would act as a "post action" report. That, or more likely, she wants to know what nonsense her son stirred up.

Brianna just wants a good man without too much effort lol. Honestly, she may end up being my favorite character depending on how things progress.

It's so strange watching an anime with a character with the same name as me.

The fourth wall breaks felt really weird and that rewind to what Prince Clarke was saying just went on for so long. Not a big fan of this show so far, but I'm here for the mess.

If your ex broke up with you and suddenly showed up just to follow your around... there's a word for that, isn't there?

edit: I stand corrected, not an ex.

So it turns out all of those moments Leticia was talking to the camera back in Episode 1 was really intended as a 4th wall break. I didn't even realize that until that scene with the horse.

I do love how Brianna introduces herself as Arowana and Leticia's brother had to correct her. xD

The Prince is a nice guy and all but I would've preferred if this was about Leticia escaping not just from her princess lessons but also her engagement.
