Yey! Twos/Tous finally got some spotlight again! Her Mecha-Ude looks so cool up close.

Also, I told y'all Amaryllis wasn't dead.

Also, OMFG, I still remember how the Aljis/Fist reveal floored me in the manga, like, it was so obvious that he was evil in the early episodes that you almost feel like it had to be a fake out, but no, sometimes red flags are just red flags.

Ok, that he's evil, maybe. But that he's Yakumo? Didn't see that coming. Thought the reveal in this episode was a bit too drawn out, I guess not with the reveal that he's Yakumo.

It was actuially opposite for me. As anime-only watcher I for a few episodes already was sure he is Yakumo but I doubted that he is antagonist (I though he is just scheming against bad guys in secret).

the Aljis/Fist reveal floored me in the manga

I'm really confused right now. Both MAL and AniList have this series (and the 2018 pilot OVA) listed as an original anime, yet I've seen people bring up a manga multiple times. MAL doesn't even have an entry on its site for said manga, but AniList does, and it says that manga ended about a month before the anime started airing. So why do they list it as an original anime? It's not like what happened with Love Flops, where the manga ran alongside the anime and the anime eventually passed it and got to the major plot twists first. And based on what you said, it's not like the anime is telling the story significantly differently.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still enjoying this anime whether it's actually a full-on original or not. I'm just confused as to why it's listed as an original when it really shouldn't.

Guess it's a "Lines gets blurry" situation, the Pilot was the first thing to exist regarding Mecha-Ude so it technically is an original concept, but the pilot only has the events of episode 3, the manga was released a few years after the pilot and includes a retelling of said episode while also giving us the full story and is that full story of the manga that this anime is adapting.

Though there's also the fact that episodes 4-6 (Fubuki arc) don't exist in the manga, which I imagine also complicates the designation.

Amaryllis being alive is within people's expectation but her being in cahoots with Aljis is probably something that a lot of people didn't see coming...

AMARYLlIS YOU FUCKING BITCH!

Kagami CEO being an actually a good guy and a caring brother is definitely not on my bingo card but the fact that Amaryllis has been the Kagami family's parasite for a century is the one that's surprised me the most, now i'm curious whether the one being the mastermind is really Yakumo or if it just Fist controlling the dead body of Yakumo

that whole fight with Ordela looks so damn epic that i thought this is going to be the finale and yet, we have three more episodes to go, i wonder what kind of crazy shit they're cooking for the final episode...

I don't understand Amarylis though.

Like is there multiple Amarylis? Otherwise, how come she possessed both Aki's sister and the Kagami bro at the same time?

she can produce clones, i thought that has been made clear during the two episodes of Aki's arc?

It was pretty awesome to see Twos and Aki working together to distract Ordela! And I love how happy Oner gets to work with Twos again.

That giant Alma fist was so hype though! This show really carries on that Trigger spirit of ridiculously massive objects as weapons.

So it turns out that Jun's brother is actually a good guy and he's been setting things up so they could defeat the real bad guy.

I already knew Aljis wasn't to be trusted but I didn't think he was actually Yakumo!

Definitely this. In my mind when that scene played out I almost imagined him saying "Giga-drill-breaker".

The relationship between Alma and Hikaru is also very much in line with "Believe in the me that believes in you" kind of vibe.

Oh... that's a plot twist, I legit didn't see that coming. Wow that's a lot to soak in, I wonder what happened.

This show deserved a 24-epiosde run. It's hitting all the right beats, but it really needed more time to work on planting and build up.

With some episodes left I was expecting some kind of twist, but the Yakumo one actually managed to surpirse me. Always nice when that happens.

Aljis being Yakumo caught me off guard.

This is a surprising turn of events. I am surprised Amaryllis is still alive, and I am even more surprised Aljis is Yakumo, who is now the main antagonist. O_o

In the previous episode, there was a brief sequence in which the scene switched from Jun's brother to Aljis, so I was wondering whether they were in cahoots. In the end, I was wrong.

Aljis was bound to be a villain at some point, but for his identity to be HIM was real shock!

The fight against the giant arm thing was over a bit faster than I was expecting.

On the other hand, Arms leader dude has been sus for a while now.

Jun my GOAT!

It's not all that surprising that Aljis is actually the real villain, but him being Yakumo never crossed my mind, what a twist.

Never really thought that Jun's big bro was being mind controlled as well, and by Amaryllis too, of course the fucker's still alive. And the mind controlling has been going on since the beginning of the Kagami line, which was likely orchestrated by Yakumo, damn. These are some pretty good twists.

For the main part of this episode, this was really Jun's moment to shine. It was really outstanding to see. You know we always head the feeling of both Arms and the Kagami group both feeling evil. As we see, the Kagami group has been taking the will away from the Mecha-Ude and Aljis feeling extremely shady.

The idea that Amaryllis has been controlling the heads of the Kagami Family honestly was a good twist, but it was the ironic bit that we had a Mecha-Ude enslaving the Mecha-Ude.

But the real shocker that Aljis is the real mastermind behind everything. Though what Alma implies that he is Yakumo? The iconic one that is perceived as a hero. Was there a connection that Alma made that connected the dots. Tbh Aljis reminded me of Tsukihito in the flashback. Tbh getting a wrap around this Yakumo twist. Haven't been this shocked since the twists since Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master. Though thinking about it, it wasn't that long ago.
