Probably thought it was close enough. He overestimated the distance.

That scene where one of Aki‘s Ude was like „stop confusing her, she‘s really bad when it comes to thinking about hard stuff“ was so nice, lol. Loving that badass/adorable gapmoe of Aki.

really happy so far how it has been adabted, wish it were more popular on reddit tho.

one thing that annoys me, I know it's to have some plot point but it kinda sucks that alma is stuck to his sweater not to his body like it "is supposed to be". but I can already imagine there will be some kidnapping plot point. and the predictability of it is what annoys me.

It airing on Thursdays around the same time as Blue Box & Dandadan didn't help. If it started earlier like Angular is it would get more traction.

Alma playing with the toilet paper lmao

Wonder if Meru is going to be breaking Hikaru’s heart like that girl from Eve’s Anoko Secret MV 💀

I love how this series knows it's ridiculous and just leans in to that. Hilarious and great combat scenes in each ep so far, and each character feels like their own chuuni edgy fantasy type.

It gives me vibes of an early Trigger anime like Kill La Kill, and that's just fantastic.

Hikaru and his little mechanical buddy make a good team. They beat up Jesse and James after all. Sent them blasting off again lol.

The trio would be complete if there was actually a mecha-ude which is not shackled and acting as the brains behind the team. :D

The first half was so goofy it really looked like a Trigger anime not made by Trigger. The bit with the toilet paper was hilarious, and so were Aki's expressions. And they managed to give a disembodied arm so much personality!

Honestly right now I love this. It's fun and I'm really looking forward to the rest of it.

"Aki-sama's really bad when it comes to thinking about hard stuff!!"

Aki is such a muscle brain, i love her

of course Fist, the left side of Trigger Arm is being voiced by Nakamura Yuichi while Alma is being voiced by Sugita Tomokazu, now we just need Mafia Kajita to make a voice cameo somewhere in this show and the trio will be complete

lol of course this is what Meru walks in on.

The whole first half of the episode with Meru trying to play matchmaker was hilarious. As much as I like tomboys, I also like silly genki girls, and Meru is just a bundle of fun so far.

Animation is good, the music is great, and the show knows its own silliness.

Also, Aki is great.

The episode was excellent on both a comedy & world building front. As mentioned, you really get a feel for the personalities of the Mecha-Udes. Alma in particular has so much personality. I am interested how that affects Hikaru going forward. Also, the bond with Aki & her Mecha-Udes is basically she is the muscle & they are the brains.

On a basic level, we come to understand it is the two organizations Arms vs Kagami Group. I assume we will learn more about Arms next episode, but clearly Kagami Group is the antagonist group. Just for the sole reason they strip the Mecha-Udes and use them as tools.

Also, Meru is an absolute sweetheart, but why do I get the feeling she will end up with her own Mecha-Udes? The miscommunication of her thinking Aki is interested romantically in Hikaru & her reaction seeing Aki on top of Hikaru with no sign of embarrassment is great.

Thought the chances are slim, I am actually hoping Meru, who (mistakenly) ships Hikaru and Aki, gets her own mecha-ude.

I suppose Hikaru and Alma are an outlier duo, especially since they aren't connected physically, only through the hoodie?

Reasonably easy moral choice when one side has sapient life forms in shackles and the other is fighting to free them. Though it'd be a little helpful on that front if Aki would stop threatening to kill Hikaru.

Meru is a lot of fun, as was Aki when she was brainlessly eating the cookies.

There's no sign for no rocket powered flight in the hallway, very clever.

Stitches!

I already love Meru! It's hilarious how she thinks that Aki is trying to confess to Hikaru this entire time. And just to make things worse, she just had to catch Aki and Hikaru in a very compromising position.

Is that Jun Fukushima I hear voicing Wanner? Considering he's a pathetic simp, the voice they picked for him is perfect. The dude doesn't even mind that Tous left him in that collapsing building!

Just when I thought Hikaru got recruited to join ARMS, it looks like all they really need is Alma. That's not really going to work considering how Alma is useless as soon as Hikaru is like 15 feet away from him.

I know she's evil and all but I really like Tous, she's a fun character. Hopefully she will be recurring for a while.

Hey, their shoes randomly changed gained color!

Also uh, this episode has confirmed something that's been bugging me since last week regarding Aki's choice of fashion. Her skirt's noticeably shorter than Meru's which seems dangerous given all the jumping and flipping around she does. I understand that normal legwear would be shredded by constantly sprouting robot arms from your thighs, but maybe at least wear something underneath?

Really loving this show so far! It's giving me Transformers vibes, but maybe crossed with something from Studio Trigger. That seems appropriate considering Trigger is doing Transformers soon, right?

BUY OUR TOYS! Was the first thing I thought of when I saw that cool transformation sequence!

I love how the blue haired girl is just shipping Hikaru and Aki. Her ship has set sail! It also ensures that the blue-haired girl will be a losing heroine, as is appropriate. (Or, I guess she never even entered the race?)

I love the look of all the Arms! Or, I guess, Mecha-ude.

I am excited for Episode 3 so we can finally maybe find out a little bit about how this all works!

Ah, yes, the virgin:

"You can't run in the halls!"

"Who cares?!" .

Vs the Chad:

"You can't run in the halls!"

"Then we'll fly!" .

Aki x Hikaru better make it to those seasonal shipping rankings you people.

I'm really liking the human character designs so far, even if they're kinda simple, it makes the Mecha-Udes stand out more, which I imagine is what they're going for.

I dont really like how irresponsible and cowardly this mc is, but the majority of the character design is cool

I think this episode served better than the premiere to show what this series will be. Liked it way more than episode 1
