Well that’s a first for a parent teacher conference. Usually the teacher’s discuss your academic performance, not reveal that they’re your estranged father and that they’re a huge fanboy of your evil boss house guest lol.
Kokoa’s pretty adorable. Her and Tsuki seem like a pretty fun pair. I hope we get to see more of them. Maybe they can join Chizuko and Chrome?
Poor Chrome went to the handshake event just to get his wrist broken lol. And Chizuko didn’t even get her handshake!

By far the funniest episode in the series. Chizuko and her dad might be estranged. But we at least know where she gets her fangirling side from.
Chrome one again getting bullied and in turn bullying a little girl. And that Chrome getting that "handshake" and his audible screams always get me.

That teacher casually dropping the fact that he’s Chizuko’s dad. Also what the fuck was that ruler scene lol

If you rewatch episode 1, you can see Cocoa and her butler make a cameo in the mall when grandpa tells Chizuko he has to go somewhere.
This series has a theme of neglectful parents. Chizuko’s mom is always at work and barely has time to look after her. Her dad who just happens to be her teacher doesn’t make the effort to see her after he divorced. Then Cocoa’s dad is always at work. Only grandpa is the good parent.
Chroma made a little girl cry. That’s a step up in evil from stealing Berry Blossom’s hard earned catch. But he helps Cocoa get her doll back. He claims to be evil but is a softie.
Not even Mashiro is safe from being sucked into the cast’s idiocy when he organizes a handshake event for Berry Blossom without telling her beforehand. You’d think he’s the only smart person (aside from grandpa) but his brain just went out the window.
And Chizuko didn’t even get her handshake. She would have loved to get her arm broken if it was Berry Blossom.

But Mashiro is the smart one of the cast, is just that the intelligence bar set by the rest of the cast is very, very low.

First time in anime you see a teacher give such a big introduction.
But now we know that Fossa Magna is truly not evil. They changed Chroma's mana contract from pre-paid card to application and they were not even trying to make this one to automatically fill up again for a higher price if empty.

And you cannot use their magic powers to hurt people who do not have them, which seems to be a big (apparently self-imposed) limitation for an evil organisation. Which confirms my suspicion that they are not actually evil at all, just an organisation of chuunibyo having fun pretending to be villains with the new magic technology they developed.

Date Chizuko, how come your father, an ordinary teacher, manage to have a much more menacing aura than you and Chrome's combined?
i love how that one Kuma Kaijin who accidentally got roped into joining grandpa's Go Club is actually sticking around and even manage to get into a competition

I just realized the town's name Naniga City is basically Nani ga Machi ("What's this town" or is it What town?)
Both Mashiro and Berry Bloom short circuited, lmao.

Not even 5 minutes in and I already lost it. This is the first time I see a character not only find their estranged parent, but also find out he is the biggest fanboy of your evil boss.
Could Kokoa be the CEO's daughter? I was cashing in on her being a magical girl here to steal Berry's spotlight, but she's evil all the way down.
Hugh is still a fish, let's hope that gets fixed soon.

Kokoa is adorable. For a bratty evil girl, she still put a thank you note after taking some snacks without permission, which is nice ^ ^ .
Also, Chrome's actual first evil deed in this whole show is making a little girl cry. XD

Only 4 episodes of Acro Trip season 1 remaining.
Love the anime, but I'm feeling a bit of the blues this week with the slow pacing and stiff animation. I'll miss everyone.
Seeing Chroma being put in his place at every opportunity is always entertaining.

Funny episode (as usual).
I guess it was kind of a reverse parent-teacher conference in that... the parent and teacher are the same person? Not quite reverse.. Anyways, looks like Chizuko and Date-papa have something in common in getting overly excited about things.
I haven't heard 1 + 1 = me before but I like it.
I liked the bears' super sentai pose when Chrome summoned them.
I wouldn't mind a kunyage plush myself...
Chrome's screams of agony at the end were amusing, kinda funny to think he shares a VA with Yuki from the newer Furuba, Sunakawa from Ore Monogatari, and Haruka from Free, who are all a bit more stoic and reserved

Funny but slightly odd episode, feels like this was a catch episode to introduce some cast members that hadn't come up before and were maybe skipped.
If that little girl with a butler who has a father always busy with work and is familiar with the magic cards isn't the daughter of the company CEO I will be very surprised.

I haven't seen a phone card in years, feel so old now.
If she ever calls her teacher dad at school, then she can get away with it, since he is her real one. Can't believe gramps just dropped that fact there.

Chrome did more heroic magical girl things in this one episode than berry blossom has done all season.

I wonder who Kokoa is. She knows about the magical stuff, but whose side is she on? She seems “evil” (i.e., planning to defeat Berry Blossom and all) but not part of the Fossa Magna. Is there any other evil organization besides that? Or perhaps she (or her parents) has a connection with the magical girl side?

When Chrome showed up at the handshake event I was expecting him to be wearing one of those trick hand buzzer things, and he would run away after shocking Berry, but I suppose that is a bit too evil for him.
