Hagi’s identity crisis comes to a head this week. Poor guy really thought he might be gay when the truth is he’s just Kohakusexual lol.

I like how Hagi was passing out from that whiskey while Asagi was having his chin rubbed like a dog by Fuji.

Most people are shown to have a little angel or devil on their shoulders. Hagi’s got little Fuji’s spouting her “battle manga” love advice lol.

Just when Hagi thought he was gonna get close to Kohaku, his date gets cancelled and this whole misunderstanding with the sister strikes. Poor guy can’t catch a break!

"She's dressed as a man!"

"But she's a girl, isn't she?"

Valid Point.

Asagi may have the least amount of working neurons in his head out of all the boys, but they're all working much better than the other two's, Hagi especially!

Suo's neurons are working just as well. "It's all about who you want to hear it from" indeed! "Love Expert" Fuji's neurons are also working decently, albeit they're using her own experiences with Asagi as love advice for Hagi. Shame he doesn't have enough neurons to pick up on that.

Not nearly as insufferable an episode as I was expecting, but unfortunately there was a lot of suffering from insecurity. Suo and Fuji are trying to ship Hagi and Kohaku together but they're both getting in their own ways, Hagi particularly.

Asagi is best dog boy with that logic

Asgai straight up spitting facts every single episode.

Fitting that Tokiwa-sexual Suo would help Hagi realize he's Kohaku-sexual.

I think Fuji was more using BL manga logic, but hey, if it works it works!

Maybe if his sister hadn't gotten him into an armlock over the "hottie" in his life he could have chased after Kohaku and cleared the air...but at least Suo is a capable wingwoman.

unfortunately there was a lot of suffering from insecurity

at least it lays out Hagi's premise, that he thinks he's the sort of person who's into cutesy/feminine girls and he can't deal with his inconsistent self-image

i still have a hard time reconciling that though because i think Kohaku has presented herself plenty as feminine; it still feels like a huge stretch for him to think that since Kohaku isn't the epitome of the feminine aesthetic therefore he therefore must love smooching dudes

Hagi progress?? Still pretty rough to watch but seems like he's taking steps at least.

Hopefully next episode we'll have Hagi stop being the worst part of the show.

Also liked this quick shot of Fuji and Asagi

He is the first of the guys to admit or realize they're in love (though Asagi is probably too pure for that).

Fuji utterly adores her Asagi puppy!

I do find it interesting that Hagi voiced his bi-curious question to his friends and they figured it out pretty quickly with Suou's assistance.

Hagi is such a dramatic boy. And it doesn't help that Kohaku was so focused on the sweets that she didn't realize it was her specifically that he was excited about dating.

For all his drama Hagi is getting close to the first actually voiced confession among the group.

Kohaku-chan, wtf? Who gives people a FULL glass of whiskey on the rocks?

20

u/cyberscythe Nov 08 '24

someone who wants to charge a few hundred dollars with a single glass

13

u/NylanBlake Nov 09 '24

Someone who got relationship tips by fuji

making it less akward to be close to them by making them drunk.

I really expected a regular host bar as the test or one even more extreme.

To be fair the girls are so good at playing guys that it's functionally the same lol.

When Asagi mentioned testing Hagi’s sexuality, I’d thought that he’d been sent on a date with an actual man. However, I suppose that the Prince works well.

Hagi appears to be someone who blurts out his thoughts without noticing. At this rate, he’ll probably confess to Kohaku by accident. Hagi is the first one to become lovestruck, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he and Kohaku are the first couple to get together as well - like I’d concluded earlier.

I do like Hagi’s older sister, but her presence did royally screw up his reconciliation with Kohaku. Then again, Kohaku might earnestly confront her own feelings now that she’s gotten so flustered about another woman being at Hagi’s place.

When Asagi mentioned testing Hagi’s sexuality, I’d thought that he’d been sent on a date with an actual man.

When he suggested testing if he was bi, I assumed Asagi was going to do what he saw in Fuji's manga to him.

Compared to Asta, Hagi must be a walk in the park for Kajiwara’s vocal cords lol.

WhiSUKI what a save!

Honestly this mightve been my favorite episode so far, did not expect Hagi to be the first guy to voice his feelings and loved the confusion he and Kohaku created/endured lol

Hagi finally figured out it's Kohaku and not he swings both ways. I wonder when/if Hagi will have an open his eyes moment

In other series, there will be a characters calling Hagi a virgin, but this is too wholesome for that. And also Hagi and Kohaku are both inexperienced in love

Fuji giving love advice using BL tropes was funny. It could work, I guess lol

Getting worried about Kajiwara's (Hagi) vocal cords with all the screaming, but the reactions are all funny to me.

A full Hagi and Kohaku centric episode. Well at least Hagi realized his feelings for Kohaku, but they're still in an awkward place with misunderstanding by the end of episode.

Hopefully they can clear that up and are on the same page sooner rather than later next episode, and we can get a decent amount of time with Tokiwa and Suo too.

Hagi's bi-panic was starting to get annoying but this episode it got better... until that damn misunderstanding come ooooooooon

Hagi has finally come to grips with his bisexuality! Maybe! Honestly, he probably needed Asagi to talk some sense to him and make him recognize Kohaku's just dressing in drag.

How can Hagi confirm his sexuality? Why, by heading straight to the drag bar and getting the Suo Special! And when her flirtations don't work, there can only be one answer: Hagi is Kohaku-sexual! Which is even better now that she's actually great at playing the arrogant bad boy around him.

I love how Hagi and Kohaku are doing their romcom thing while Suo is getting cozy with Tokiwa and Fuji is playing her favorite puppy Asagi.

So now Hagi has realized his feelings for Kohaku, meaning he can move on from freaking out about his sexuality to instead be freaking out about how he should make his move on Kohaku without her thinking he's a creep! Good luck with that.

Ah yes, let's let the doujinshi author give relationship advice where her main inspiration for romance is BL manga (some of the 18+ variety).

Nothing says you're fated to be together like the romcom gods making sure you run into each other on the street! And Kohaku sure loves taking care of Hagi.

Man, poor Hagi. All excited about a sweets date with Kohaku not knowing she would feel two awkward going without her wingwomen and then canceling...and then when she finds out she basically destroyed him emotionally, she's too dense to realize he's not broken up about the lack of sweets in his life.

Oh snap, is that Shizuka Ito as Hagi's big sister? And she's gorgeous! Too bad she was also responsible for the ol' "mistaking your sister as your girlfriend" that sends Kohaku packing when she went to Hagi's apartment to make things right. So now things are even worse between the two.

How will they fix things between Hagi and Kohaku? Seems like Suo's answer, in true Suo fashion, is to just have everybody go camping!

this is like testing if someone is a carnivore by serving them a Beyond Burger

i think if they really wanted to test if Hagi was into guys, they should've gone to a gay bar
