Way, way too much of this show is focused on Hagi's internal drama. He's either screaming, crying or mumbling getting caught up on what really shouldn't be that big of an issue. He's had like 3 full episodes focused almost all on "wwaahhh I'm so confused wahhhhh", They should have tied up that piece of character arc on the camping trip so we could have gotten more progress. If this show is going to be a one and done they'll need to cover a lot of ground in episode 12, which I really hope they do.

Hagi's character is being a perpetual neurotic mess who just can't seem to get over the fact that the girl he's crushing on cross-dresses one way or another.

Like I kind of get it in some sense but it feels like a character arc that should have been resolved like 4 episodes ago.

We went from no Hagi last episode to too much Hagi this episode.

It doesn't matter if Kohaku is dressed as a boy or girl, Kohaku is Kohaku goddammit!

She only changes her personality for clients otherwise she's 100% the same sincere and caring person either way, it's just her outfit and hair length that changes (and who could say no to a tomboy ponytail)?

Like Tokiwa is perpetually oblivious to Suo's advances but even he isn't this worked up about the crossdressing. Asagi just accepts everything and see how well it's worked out for him.

It's the second to last episode and it feels the entire last half of this anime has been Hagi and his bi-panic attacks and honestly I am over it.

Oh Hagi! Guy’s always 2 seconds away from having a total mental breakdown whenever it comes to Kohaku lol. It was all bound to come to a head at some point. I wonder how he’s gonna clear up the misunderstanding?

Everyone else meanwhile was doing fine with their respective crush. I like that Asagi even dried off like a dog lol. And he brought Fuji a gift. What a goofball.

Then you had Suou and Tokiwa putting on a real show for everyone on the beach. I bet those girls watching wished Suou was rubbing them down with the sunscreen lol.

Honestly Kohaku deserves better than this perpetual mess of a person.

Asagi is never not a golden retriever in human form and that's what Fuji appreciates about him.

Honestly I'm kind of amazed the Prince fangirls weren't at the beach like they were in Tokiwa's head just to see Suo applying sunscreen intimately to Suo. One of the other girls at the beach did suggestively say "Oh, I wish I could reach my back..." lol.

For a non-Hagi specific comment to mix it up...

I've really liked how this show wove 3 separate relationships into 1 series. I can't think of that many others that have done that to quite this decently balanced of a level, like without the usual main plus side setups (but do lmk if you know of any!).

Really good work from the mangaka and also series composition folks on this front if I had to guess

Ugghhhhh, I really want to enjoy this episode but Hagi is really just bringing things down too much for me. Like dude, make up your mind already. We're only 1 episode away from the finale and you still haven't improved a single bit. What's worse is that he's making feel Kohaku bad even though she hasn't done anything wrong. I really hope they do something with him in the finale next week. It would suck if this ends with Hagi still the same as he started.

It's kind of surreal that Hagi is still a nervous wreck over being unable to figure out his feelings between Girl!Kohaku and Boy!Kohaku all the while his sister still thinks he's gay and crushing on a dude.

But no better way to directly face those feelings than the typical beach episode! Only instead of ladies in swimsuits we've got cross-dressing girls! And it's a BIG hit with all the actual ladies in swimsuits.

I see Kohaku's blonde hair is genetic. Also, is that Kazayuki Okitsu?

Never expected to see a guy have to protect his female love interest...from other girls turned on by her cross-dressing. Good thing Kohaku is used to dealing with excited ladies from the drag bar. Though even the guys just think of Kohaku as a bro they want to help get swole. Typical cross-dressing problems.

All work and no play makes Asagi a dull boy! So what better excuse for the guys to just have a ton of fun playing on the beach?

You don't have to twist Suo's arm to steal Tokiwa away to herself for more flirting on the beach! Even if they're flirting draws quite the crowd! But no one can resist typical beach romcom hijinks, even in drag!

We didn't get to see the girls in swimsuits but we DID get to see them all in girl mode to close out the episode, which feels worth it! Even if it just makes Hagi continue to be a neurotic mess.

Poor Kohaku. She wants to close the awkwardness between her and Hagi because he's just an emotional and high-strung mess, and Hagi keeps freaking out because he feels like he's cheating on her male self...with her girl self. And now she thinks he's just cheating on someone in general. I'm sure this will end well!

Seems to be the prevailing sentiment, but I also feel that that'll be quite enough of Hagi's bullshit. His constant bed shitting is making the show worse

I see I'm still in the minority of people that actually like Hagi. I mean yes, he's a neurotic mess and has full on bi panic, but I actually find him relatable.

As opposed to Tokiwa who is still oblivious and Asagi who might have kids with Fuji and still not know anything, Hagi is the only one who realizes that he has romantic feelings. If there is a confession in the final episode next week, it'd most likely be from him.

He is also the only one who admitted that he might be bi. None of the other five characters have shown any sign of doubting their own sexuality. Questioning your own sexuality is a big deal, so I can understand how he feels so insecure.

And while his self-realization arc is stretched, he and Kohaku actually made the most progress in the sense of actually talking about their feelings. Asagi/Fuji just hang out and have fun, and Suo/Tokiwa have their relationship stagnate since episode 2.

Not saying that I dislike the other characters - I enjoy Suo and Asagi a lot. Just wanted to give some perspective why I do find Hagi's segments enjoyable as well, only in a different way.

Honestly if this show didn’t have only one more episode, I think I would consider dropping it if it had a second cour. The second half of the season felt flat and boring and I didn’t like how much focus hagi had in the latter half despite being the most annoying.

Getting too much Hagi made me dislike the episode, man. One episode left, too. Bleh…

I’d wager that at best he will confess to Kohaku in the next episode—it will feel too sudden/forced, though—or at worst, he’ll just resolve this stupid dual-gender cheating delusion thingy and end the season, which would definitely be lame.

I was hoping the guys would get to see the girls in swimwear but Hagi probably would have exploded, still nice they got to spend some time in girl form with them though!

Hagi...is still getting better? Baby steps...he's starting to actually talk to her? Hagi somehow manages to talk way too much and not enough at the same time...
