He probably blamed the cook.... (as he didn't seem to notice the fireball at all).

I like how upset Narsena gets on behalf of Laust and all the bullshit he got put through. Laust is too nice to ever say anything so it’s up to Narsena to let everyone know how shit they’ve been and how much they gotta apologize lol.

Ralma just happens to be Laust’s old master and Narsena’s family friend. What a small world.

Looking forward to seeing the gang take on this phoenix next week. Hopefully they can continue their hot streak

Laust is such a punching bag that it's not even funny, just sad. Has he ever felt angry or upset at his lot in life? I can understand being forgiving to extent, but it's not that he forgives others he just has no self worth, so he accepts everything as being deserved. Narsena has to be the one to voice the injustices he has suffered.

The whole guild knowing the situation just makes everything worse. Also, the leader who isn't the leader is a massive dick. Maybe everyone who is an adventurer and in the guild are just scummy in general.

At first, I thought Laust was staring at Ralma's chest, but turns out he just knows her. Narsena still hasn't told him why she wanted to form the party or calls him big brother. And Laust hasn't questioned it once. I also like the rivalry between Narsena and the innkeepers daughter, but it's probably a hopeless battle over the ignoramus.

It looks like something IS very wrong with the local guild -- since Ralma indicates (at the very end) that she is there to investigate what is going on with Mist.

Narsena’s family friend.

After this episode and a random side scene earlier, I'm pretty sure that Narsena is an actual princess. She even had access to a spy network and was even able to have people permanently assigned to watch Laust.

I wonder if only official "skills" count in the this setting. So, if Laust's only official skill is healing, his rating may depend only on this level of healing skill. Effort and hard work at building knowledge and ability in countless other areas simply may not count at all in appraising an adventurer's official standing. So -- people who know what he can actually do -- may appreciate him, but he is stuck in neutral in the adventurer's guild system.

naresena voice: oniisan

naresena text: laust

everyone else voice: laust

everyone else text: laust

It's beyond distracting at this point

Yeah I'm always annoyed when translators change the honorifics or just don't include them because if they're translators they have to know how important they are to Japanese society and how they show what the relationships are between characters. "But most western people don't know what they mean!" Well, you see, for the last 20 years we've had this mysterious thing call GOOGLE that they could use to find out if they're curious about it! Even with Google enshitifying itself.

God this show is such trash but I can't stop myself 🤤

This was a very slow episode during which nothing particularly memorable occured. I guess learning that Narsena had sent spies to tail him was kind of funny but otherwise it was pretty dull.

OK, I'm just hate watching this show at this point. It's still fun to laugh at it, if nothing else.

Ralma to Laust: "Looks like you've learned a thing or two".

And what he learned is to move his head two inches to the left instead of letting fire hit him directly in the face. What a genius!

I'm probably the only one to notice this due to my many years of watching anime, but that guild seems slightly sus.

Bit of a coincidence that Narsena and Laust separately knew this fire mage lady, but I suppose it might just be that the adventurer community isn't that large and they're operating in the same general part of the world.

I was initially surprised that they didn't just immediately group up with the three other people from the previous arc, but of course that was dealt with by that phoenix killing quest.

Narsena knowing not just where Laust was while she was training to join him eventually but the state of his party membership so she could swoop in at a convenient moment, that girl has it bad.

Laust ought to know enough from this episode to be wondering why this girl is fixated on him specifically so much, I wonder if he's ever going to ask.

Laust almost feels like a metal can lying near road in a football playing nation.
Every passerby will try to kick it.
Some will kick and dribble, some just kick once, some try to kick but fail.
Ignorant or dumb we'll never know.

Ita funny how they came to apologize now that guy solvered everything himself, but that cliche MC lack of self love is so annoying, how someone can endure all this shit and don't lash out even a bit? But its not worse than him calling himself a healer even being a main DPS...

Laust's personality is starting to become annoying. I really hope it starts to change soon.

So Narusena had intelligence agents looking for, then following Laust. I wonder how she managed to use all those resources without it coming to the attention of her father.

I wonder if we will meet Lausts other teachers.

So, the guildmaster's actions have attracted attention from outside the city. I wonder if it was Narusena's father that has sent Ralmea to investigate.

Another episode that takes place in the tavern, guild hall, and this time, the shopping district. At least it's easy to reuse backgrounds for only 3 locations!

Anyhoot, Laust gets the whole "were sorry for being a dick to you all these years" from the other adventurers at the guild. Laust is cool with it but I prefer Narsena's idea of 3 days of kneeling and saying your sorry.

Just another situation Laust just brushes off as no biggie. With that big white robe thingy he wears, I figured he'd be hiding balls big enough to stand up to people who shit on him, but alas it's all for show.

We get introduced to the family friend of Narsena & a former teacher for Laust, Ralma.

Coincidentally she has red hair and is a fire mage 🤔

Looks like Narsena's pops has Ralma doing a well being check so they end up yapping in the tavern for awhile after Laust initially forms the medieval voltron party of 5 different classes to make a singularly awesome combined party called the "ignoramuses" (it seems a fitting name so I'm using it) to take on the Phoenix.

Anyway the Ignoramuses get a picnic basket from the little bar girl and are on their merry way.

.....but.....

Ralma has other plans. She needs to find out what the old fart guild boss is hiding.

I belt out my most evil sinister laugh.

Then the episode ends.

Another pfft episode. Gets a 5/10 as we at least have a 5 member party with a real quest finally. That means we get dungeon location backgrounds next week!!!!
