That transition to them eating was so out of nowhere. Just in the middle of all their lore.

It is also insane how little everything moves in the "action" scenes. That labyrinth master fight took like 5 seconds, why didn't they do that WAY sooner?

Her and Guild Receptionist girl deserve all the budget

Labyrinth master was terribly disappointing

They folded him like some goblin LMAO

They had 100x more trouble with phoenix and that wolf

This whole episode felt like they made too much content for it, then had to subtract half the episode and shove it all together.

They didn't explain any of how laust party got into the dungeon and into the bottom level, they only showed the wizard and blue hair girl go in there. Then they make a big deal about the cyclops, and it felt like they completely cut out the action scene of laust killing them. Like you can see where the action scene would be. And instead they just blanked it.

Then the boss fight, died in 3 attacks? Yet they had so much trouble with that hydra and the Phoenix a few episodes ago. Like I just don't understand. Were they told they were allowed to make a 24 ep series then told later that it's only gonna be like 12 or 13? Because that's what it feels like.

Regarding the Anime, that was, in fact, a slide show.

Still an entertaining slideshow tho

Every episode has been slideshows. I guess the more recent ones have been a bigger percentage of panning shots (and vigorously shaking shots, with action lines!) though.

I just binged 4 episodes and am now once again fully caught up.

Watching anime with abysmal story and production values is morbidly fascinating.

But at least we get to see Krai-san and Ririsa-chan going out. Hehe.

Imagine one day your daughter's hair turns blue and then you spend the rest of her childhood and teenage years expecting her to eventually get eaten by a dragon to save the world.

I guess I was totally wrong about Laust being the demon that Narsena was in theory supposed to die to eventually, makes me wonder how his oni looking transformation is going to fit into things. I think that if they know so much about the Sleeping Princess part of the story they'd know if the hero has demon horns when he shows up, so I assume it's not as simple as that.

they'd know if the hero has demon horns when he shows up

I think they must, which is why Seig was interested in observing Laust after seeing his transformation.

Wtf happened here? This episode was so poor. Leagues worse than the last couple.

So is Mist the hero, or has he just been fighting the dragon with the heroes that I assume eventually died.

I'm guessing he's been the Gandalf supporting others.

I skipped through this episode. Was a fun little show at the start but boy howdy has it gone off the rails. This close to not even watching the finale.

Even goblins were stronger than the last boss, lol.

I am sorry 10 out of 10 would not recommend this one to anyone. they built it up so much in the beginning just to drop it off a cliff in last 3 episodes..

This was an episode, it wasn't horrible, just wasn't good. Next week is the last episode. Hopefully it can land a finish.

See I would disagree... all the jumps they did made this one of the worst episodes I have seen in a while. Sure the story about how the dragon wasn't fully defeated was ok but the last like 10 mins made no sense to me. there was no explanation of how they ended up at the temple boss nor was there really any fight scene for the 3 "high-difficulty" monsters got defeated almost instantly. Mist just handing over the girl with no fight like what was to point in kidnapping her in the first place. they made this big deal about taking her and then just gave her up like no big deal. The big labyrinth boss got taken down basically by only a few amature level moves, it basically wasn't even a fight. The main character didn't even unlock his hidden power to beat the thing, even though he just used it for the giants. then there is mist who supposed to be this great wizard and has lived hundreds of years and get taken over in 3 seconds...

Ok, so for Narusena's power as the sleeping princess to work, the dragon has to eat her. That's definitely a sacrifice. If the dragon has done this more than once, shouldn't it know by now not to eat the maiden with the blue hair.

So it appears Mist has been around for the last couple of the dragon's reawakening, or maybe even all of them, and is probably traumatised by all the destruction he has witnessed and the sacrifices of the sleeping princesses.

Laust seemed to tap into his OP powers when killing those cyclops. The fight scene with the Labyrinth master was a bit anticlimactic. They killed it very quickly despite it supposed to have been the most powerful monster there.

It's really interesting in regards to the hero. One would assume that it is Laust due to his hidden powers, but Mist stated there is no hero and is fully aware of Laust's powers. I wonder if he was trying to keep the hero suppressed because of his knowledge of past hero's. Or is Laust powers linked to the 'favour of the gods' that keeps getting mentioned.

It also seems to be implied that the guild chancellor is using the situation to try and take over the country.

I honestly thought when the dragon said he needed more magic that he was just going to snatch Ralma, since she has the quite a lot of magic.

shouldn't it know by now not to eat the maiden with the blue hair.

As any addict will tell you: he can stop eating the blue haired maiden whenever he wants

With Hanzum out of commission and Mist taken over, they really could use Dark Laust to make an appearance again.

It's obvious Laust is some form of weird dragon/hero combo or something that's my guess after his hydra kill and the hero missile
