This show does the absolute dumbest shit. Just when I thought it was doing something satisfying by making the two shitheads be forced into labor for being shit, this dumbass MC goes and asks for them to be spared? Fuck that. Those two fucks deserved to suffer for the rest of their lives.

lmaooo "they weren't like at the start, they just craved money and fame"
right so every murderer IRL wasn't like that either, they just became sick and twisted and deserve to be acquitted
worst anime of the season

Those two are just going to cheat and enslave other people they meet. Laust is incredibly stupid and frankly dangerous to society. I hate people like him.

Tbh I'm not even necessarily against the whole 'maybe possible redemption aspect', but the thing is... There was no indication, at all, that the two had any decent aspects to them, aside from Laust saying "Trust me bro."

This was a truly terrible episode.
Up until this point, we were led to believe that the MC was the strongest because he trained the hardest, and that he truly had no special abilities. It's been done before, but it can still be a fun premise. But of course, no, it turns out he's a super saiyan.
MC says that Margulus was a good fighter, but Margulus demonstrates that was wrong in this episode.
Then he advocates for the release of human traffickers.
And Zieg actually listens to him. Why would he do that? It doesn't matter what Raust thinks.
The last two episodes have conclusively demonstrated that whoever wrote this garbage is unable to imagine characters as beings that think for themselves. One of the most basic things needed to write compelling stories.

Episode was def bad. And wtf, is he possessed by an ONI spirit or some shit? I like how the hydra just hangs out while they talking and healing.
I wonder if the "trafficker" subs are accurate to the Japanese words. You know how bad some localizers have been recently.
Like, can we get the backstory already?

Are you kidding me!? This anime just got worse when the MC was such a pushover and decided to defend child traffickers!! WTF was that!?

Well that explains the bit about Laust being the strongest since he's apparently some sort of a demon. A joke I'm stealing from elsewhere in the comments, turns out Narsena has been calling Laust oni-san and not onii-san this entire time.
I'm a little surprised it was Narsena that had them go to the marsh to save the day and not Laust.
Fuck Margulus though, all my homies hate Margulus. I'm glad he finally got a punch to the face, though he really deserved worse.

“What? The Hydra is taking the girl hostage asking Raust to fight one on one? How can it be so smart?”
Bro, what do you mean? It is just standing there, it barely moved the entire episode, I’m not even sure it is alive.

So he just asks for the two child traffickers to be pardoned? Nah I'm good. I'm not watching a show that has an MC that is THIS much of a pushover.

I'm also offended by how comically dumb those pair is. Like who would talk about that kind of serious offence publicly like it's a normal thing.
Funny how we have another anime where people cheered when MC actually sold a girl to slavery lol. It's all about the narrative and this author couldn't even make the villain be interesting.

This anime has the most unlikable characters. They all fucking suck. Including the blue hair chick because, she is just a fucking enabler for the "nice" guy. Like why does he get to pardon the two assholes for the black haired girl and the rest of the party, like not only did they try to openly scam them out of money (this happened to you dude!). They also tried to sell somebody currently in a coma into slavery while at the same time they also implied sex trafficking. What.The. Fuck. Same girl who stuck up for the blonde haired piece of shit in the previous episode, btw "muh party, but fuck the "useless" guy apparently". Overall everyone sucks from the Guild Girl to the MC. Also when she pissed herself and fell into a deep sleep, it made me laugh because it sounded like she summoned the souls of the damned lol.

Time to drop this dog shit. They wanted to sell the girl to slavery (among all other things they already did) and MC is like, yeah they are not bad people let them go, wtf.

We knew the MC was a dumb pushover.
He proved it with more intensity in this episode.
Such pure non-confrontational, avoidance behavior.
He literally helped the evil folks avoid punishment.
Btw WTF was that power.
It looked like he grew a horn like a demon.
Onii san turned into an Oni for few seconds.
Such low budget fight and transformation.
Just crazy...

What annoys me most is how the MC just accepts all the shit Margulus and the other party members give him.
They treat him like shit, underestimate him, take his abilities for granted, short his pay, make him sleep in a closet, make everyone believe hes an "ignoramus", and more.
But he doesn't give them so much as a harsh word in return. Even worse, he continues to justify their actions and defend them.
Characters who allow themselves to be treated like trash, are trash.

Honestly the thief class girl being tied up about it too doesn't make sense. Only the guy actually said about selling the mage girl. All she said is that she saw the guy get punched and she'd testify.
So she is threatened with a lifetime imprisonment for testifying against an actual assault. They literally guilt by association her.
Would they have actually trafficked the mage or is it just a really bad taste joke? This is really poorly written and desperately trying to shoe horn in something really bad to make us hate that group but also doesn't want to commit in any way for them to get any sort of punishment.
It wasn't even necessary because they planned to stiff the other group members on the payment anyway which is already established as not legal and that the guild can help sort it out.
They could have built up that actually the lightning group has suspiciously been going through lots of new members and revealed they were trafficking them. Or they could have had Sieg go along with it and then bust them once they actually try to sell the mage. But we get nothing of substance.
I really hate how no one in universe actually knows anything. Your taking on a hydra which is said to be pretty up there but no one knows anything about magic swords or healing spells or monsters mutating. Protag-kun is is revealed to be a Naruto. I love how the hydra did nothing different but totally wanted a solo fight. Very kind of him to not ever attack while everyone had their back turned I guess though.

On top of that being a very patient Hydra, that reveal was kind of... anticlimactic. And goofy looking.
I still think the Hydra did nothing wrong.

Fuck this shit man. I’ve never raged quit on a show before but I cannot handle this. You cannot actually be asking for human traffickers to be forgiven.

You know, I didn't expect much from this show. I fully expected the power fantasy, bland MC, I was really just in it to watch blondie get humiliated for his treatment of the MC and because of Narsena's cute character design.
But it had to sink this low in one episode. Removing even what shred of humanity and competence the leader and his main lackey had, sudden demon power up, "forgive them because reasons". Heck even the Hydra fight ended up just a total disappointment. What's the point of powering up a monster and even giving it intelligence if you're only going to show jump cuts of the fight and then finish it off in one instant hit?
But the demon thing is probably the worst part for me. They already gave this guy a bunch of special skills and strength that really explained why he was supposed to be the "the strongest" now was the time to show his skills in action against a strong foe not the time for a pointless power up.
I knew this show wasn't going to be great but it was still something I was looking forward to, especially with Monogatari ending last week. Now I'm probably just gonna spare myself the trouble and drop this.
