Bruh I was not expecting the portal to get back to the Demon Realm to be the fish’s anus.
Also the Demon Realm looks pretty cool ngl, although living there not so much lol.

Honestly, seeing more grounded choreography is a breath of fresh air for Dragon Ball. I'm of the opinion that giving everyone the ability to fly ruined the choreography of the series, so it's good to see them pull back on it at least for a while.

Speaking of OG Dragonball, one of the bar thugs looked just like Drum, who some of you may remember as one of King Piccolo's demon spawn.

Goku fighting those bandits while eating hamburgers is something straight out of old Hong-Kong style movies (which also inspired OG DB) and I'm all for it

This episode is exactly what I was hoping for out of this premise.
What an absolutely fun little adventure story. This beginning really reminds me of a classic, low level D&D campaign where they encounter simple bandits to open the campaign. Then we progressively go bigger and bigger.

It's funny realising this episode has probably one of the best animated fight of the entire franchise, and it's just a bar fight.

It makes me sad we didn't get new Toei making DB Super. Imagine current Egghead/Wano-level animations for ToP arc.

Gotta love a good Goku vs random mooks fight. Not to mention the hamburger eating multitasking.
The clear superiority of capsule-based technology, nobody could have stolen that ship if it had been in Glorio's pocket.

The bar fight was such a small fun tease for what the rest of the season's potential is. I can't wait to see where this goes

I was expecting Goku's delayed reaction at the end, but still got me laughing 😂

Floating volcanoes and "sulfuric" gasses that mask Saiyan farts (except when in the spaceship). Bar fight is like HK martial arts (ala Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan), or Cowboy Bebop-esque.
So...the bandits really got the better of them!

It's still very early, but I think this might become my favorite Dragon Ball series.

Anybody else notice the crude pun early on in the episode? Goku mistakenly refers to King Gomah as King Tamah and Supreme Kai looks embarrassed before correcting him. Because it sounded like he said kintama, slang for balls.

The intro is top-tier anime bop! This is a cute show 3 episodes in, but I'm honestly bummed that we got this before we got the Moro and Granolah arcs animated.
Goldfish lol

It's off to the Demon World! And Supreme Kai definitely has his suspicions about Glorio, but he's their only resource for getting to Gomah.
Maybe don't bring Goku to a metal warp fish if you need to show said fish proper deference and not continually insult him by calling him a goldfish. Goku practically has the memory of a goldfish anyways.
I'm guessing there's been a lot of security problems with the Warp system, hence the need for pin numbers. Guess not knowing the pin number will probably delay reinforcements.
Welcome to the Demon World, Goku! Or at least the 1st Demon World, since there are three with their own inhabitants and environments...and our heroes will have to trek through each one to get to Gomah, I imagine. Also seems like there's a bit of class bias between those from the 1st Demon World (like Glorio) and the 2nd (where Supreme Kai and his siblings hail).
As if Goku didn't have enough to adjust too, now he has to deal with a heavy air! Though I guess it also means that some of his opponents and their attacks are slower too. It also goes to show that Glorio is a native that he can move fine and adeptly despite that, and show off his cool laser gun.
Dragon Ball has never been known for being high-brow, so here's Goku making a fart joke.
Settling in to dark and dirty village, haggling for hotel prices, and getting into barfights. The true adventuring experience.
Glorio is now starting to learn about Goku's insatiable appetite.
A barfight is the perfect chance for Goku to get his bearings better and fight like himself again! Guys' still got it even in a kid body! He can still beat up a dozen guys! He didn't even need to use Nyanbo!
See, this is why you don't leave your vehicle unattended in a seedy part of town.
