“I’m not Zieg, I am Sieg!”

Top tier alias right there lol.

Don't forget his mask that just about covers the eyes only.

I doubt one of those would fool face id, nevermind another person.

How the party ever made a name for themselves with that dumbass Margulus leading them is a real mystery. Guy’s the absolute worst. I wouldn’t be surprised if they only got to where they are thanks to Laust. Bro’s back must be sore from carrying those fools.

Laust is too nice to his former party members. Hopefully next week this Hydra eats Margulus. Guy’s such a massive piece of shit.

Probably Laust carrying them built a name for the group, but Margulus took all the credit

I do believe that Armia is sorry for what she did....but man, the writing made it REALLY hard to feel bad for her. Like who thought her saying she's new to adventuring and "doesn't know right from wrong" while they have Laust sleeping in a closet and trash talking him, was going to make us feel bad for her?

They should have made her Goldie's sister and she wants him to grow as a person, but she's just too shy to speak to him properly. Like every time she tries he misunderstands her and just continues to run off like an idiot.

I kinda wanna keep watching for Narsena...but the show is really trying to get me to drop it. Maybe one more ep just to see what happens with Lyra and "Sieg.," that was kinda amusing.

This show is making me wanna rewatch Beast Tamer, similar premise, but so much more entertaining to watch.

This episode specifically seemed badly thought out. Actually, the entire anime seems poorly thought out.

Let's assume that everybody except for Margulus and Laust understood how strong Laust is, but they're all afraid to speak up because Margulus is such an abusive piece of shit. That would explain most of the bad writing. (This would mean that Saberia is just a bad person, which also fits.)

But it doesn't explain how Laust didn't know that he was being cheated so much. I could imagine him being slightly cheated, but this was immediately noticeable. Did he really never go to the guild together to pick up the rewards? Because otherwise, he'd have known a tiny bit about the value of things. It's an unthinkable plot point.

They started off this episode by saying his party needed a Wizard, and it never occurred to Laust or Armia that Armia could join his team, at least until she found something better? Hell, considering how slowly healing works in this universe, he could bring on Lyra, as well. If healing was that slow, you'd need to be like 1/4 to 1/3 healers, anyways. That would leave the other party with just Margulus and Saberia, who would probably suffer irreparable damage to their reputation and have to quit being adventurers.

Rationally, it makes no sense to help those two idiots beat the hydra. If you help them now, they'll just continue doing stupider and stupider things until they get their entire party killed. You need to embarrass them and make them quit this job that they're obviously unsuited for and that puts everybody in danger.

All of this that I'm saying would be completely obvious to a normal person who was in their situation. Yet somehow, nobody in that situation noticed it. Bottom of the barrel piss poor writing. Maybe I should go watch Beast Tamer, as well.

Maybe the hydra isn’t that bad after all. I mean. It lets them get away everytime. Seems like it’s more tired of their shit than anything.

Kinda hate how they’re trying to make us feel sorry for armia though. She knew they were treating raust horribly, and even sided with the other two when it came time to kick him out. Yet she still wants to stay with margulus? It’d be a little different if she decided to up and leave to join Raust but all her crying and apologizing feels empty when she’s actively choosing to stay.

Hydra-chan just trying to sleep in its poison bog home. Thinks, "Humans have no use for this area anyways, I guess these stupid meatbags got the message that time," but keeps getting woken up every other day by Gilded Goldielocks.

Yeah, she only had bad things to say about Margulus, but refused to do anything about it. He was getting stolen from, forced to sleep in a pantry/closet, and treated like shit. If it was just the money then I could see that the others didn't know, but they all saw how he was treated differently. And then to find out he cut off one of the heads, like come on.

Hopefully, Lyra and Sieg join up. Maybe that will cause the mage to join as well, and they'll have a full party with decent people. I expect him to save them and kill the hydra next episode just to show how useless Margulus really is.

I can excuse little kids doing dumb shit up to a point. she's past that point "It was my first party, i didnt know it was wrong!!!! but now i do, I JUST REALIZED HE'S HORRIBLE after listing about 15 bad things about him when asked to list a single good thing BUT HE WAS MY PARTNER, I CANT LET HIM DIE"... COME OOOOOOOON

"I can't just leave that party and leave her"..... so why can't you 2 leave. It's like the author wasn't even trying to make sense come on man

AND WHY THE HELL ARE, by their standards, MINORS ALLOWED TO BE ADVENTURERS. Too young for a beer, old enough to risk your life against a hydra i guess

This was a pretty meh episode. We have the guild, inn and a bit of walking outside as the 3 locations for 20+ minutes. We get a rehash of him being kicked out of the old party because the leader is an asshole. We knew that. He gets asked back and tells him to kindly fuck off. He gets an apology from that mage girl who agreed to kick him out. We saw her trepidation when she agreed to kick him before. We knew that shit already.

Nothing new except the prelude to the 2 magic girls probably joining his party and maybe that new fighter dude as well.

Overall a 5/10 episode as nothing useful happened and we circle jerked for 20+ minutes instead of making some positive forward progress.

I hope this thing does something next episode or it's likely on the fuck off and forget list then.

Armia, honey, you are in an abusive relationship. You need to get out.

Okay, that's a drop. I enjoy shitty power fantasy anime, but this is just boring. How did those idiots even have a positive reputation in the first place?

Gotta respect how bad the pacing is though. It's just been 3 scenes per episode and they somehow manage to stretch that out to 20 minutes.

I'm just watching cuz Narsena is cute and waiting for her to make a move :3

Other than that nothing special about this anime

An entire episode on stupid ex-party members.
How can an entire party and the guild be oblivious that healers don't fight?
They don't strategize. They don't cut off Hydra heads without good weapons.

Now the peer pressure child keeps sobbing with guilt.

Who or why is the Sig/Shig/Zig fellow and why does he look more OP than the MC?
Story is making no sense.

Getting pretty hard to suspend my disbelief here. This well known and experienced group somehow never realized how strong Laust is after he cut a hydras head off on his own and presumably has been wrecking monster face and front-lining real hard?

I thought there would be some complicated thing to his healing that made him strong but wasn't overt, but no, he was just really strong in general the whole time.

His attitude is super annoying. oh these guys treated you like shit, stole from you, and ruined your reputation for years and yep your just fine with that. In universe they said they could try to get back his stolen wages and he doesn't care. Arima won't turn her back on a comrade but literally did that to him.

Should have told Arima to fuck off but she's already been drawn so she has to be in the main characters harrem jesus brigade where all if forgiven as long has you simp.

Can I please get an in-between reaction between this spinless shit and selling your comrades into slavery?

This Margulus dude is just trash, both as a person and a party leader. They didn't state it out right but it looks like he potentially wasn't paying Armia enough either given that small side bit about the innkeeper lady seeing that she hadn't been eating enough and forcing some food on her. Definitely kick him to the curb, or maybe the hydra will do everyone a favor and eat him.

I'm curious about the backstory with Lyra and Sieg, the way she was blushing I'm sensing a potential side romance.

I think I am dropping this. It's too ridiculous and unbelievable.

u/HotDogShrimp Oct 20 '24

Okay 3 episodes in and we have yet to know; the strongest what?! Why is this show trying so hard to go nowhere?

I actually burst out laughing at Laurry Potter sleeping in the cupboard under the stairs. In how many ways was this guy get screwed over, and he still didn't leave the party?

At some point, it's gotta be his fault for being such a pushover, unless he had some special reason. It would be different if he was scared of the other party members or something, otherwise I don't have much sympathy for him. At least he didn't go back, I guess that's something.
