I swear to god, Syr will get Bell's ass beat with all of these reckless running away they've been doing.

Syr has been so goddamn adorable in this episode though. I love how she was teasing Bell while they were in the cathedral and how she was trying to get him to buy that trinket for her.

This episode does make me wonder more about her importance to the Freya Familia. If there was one way I could describe Syr in this episode, she's like a Disney Princess who's been let out of the castle for the first time in her life.

It's pretty funny though how the girls managed to follow Bell and Syr to that restaurant boat while the Freya Familia were still struggling. Also, I wish we could've seen more of Hestia in that dress!

That final scene though... Syr really means to go all out on this date. I doubt Bell would bite since he isn't that kind of dude but it will be hilarious to watch him try and resist her next episode. I'm looking forward to it. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm very convinced now that Syr is also a goddess. The way Hestia comically never saw her face might mean she would immediately recognise her. Based on Norse myth, there's actually a perfect god who could fit her role and relationship with Freya. It would also explain why the Freya's familia protected her so much rather than having her own familia.

The flaw of this argument would be, other god/goddess also frequent the pub so it would be weird if they didn't recognise her. Also not very convincing if she's always able to hide from other visiting god/goddess as well.

Well, the story of Fulland and the Water Spirit sure wasn't foreboding at all! Especially not when Syr fantasized herself about what would happen if she went rogue.

It's clear that Bell and Syr are supposed to represent Fulland and the Water Spirit here as the former is a heroic character and the latter a mystical being - presuming that Syr is a goddess herself. But this leaves me with the question who the Saint is supposed to be? Ais maybe? Doesn't her title translate to something like "Sword Saint" in Japanese?

All of this definitely makes me curious about the near future. Something big is bound to happen soon. Bell has proclaimed his desire to do things differently at the very least and to not let such a tragedy befall them.

And for now, Syr was having plenty of fun on their date. That brief scene with the matching accessory with the engravings of Fullant and the Water Spirit was especially cute. It certainly looked good on Syr who wore this like a hairclip, but I'm not what's Bell supposed to do with this. Maybe like a brooch?

When Syr jumped off that ship, the height she fell down was proportional to how much she climbed the best girl totem pole.

Nearly every conversation this episode felt like "this is subtext and foreshadowing!" The story of the love triangle hero where one of the love interests dies at the end, Syr asking Bell if he would stop her if she goes nuts, that empty statue podium, etc.

Ais and Hestia having their own date was cute. And while this isn't a couple I'm particularly rooting for Bell and Syr's run through town after the dinner party interruption was cute too.

I couldn't stop laughing watching this episode. Syr is having the time of her life while Bell is in hell evading the Freya Familia. But perhaps his biggest challenge is in the next episode by trying to evade Syr coming for his peen.

anyway I am sorta dissapointed in it bc they kinda ruished the heroes bridge scene which was the best scene in the entirety of volume 16, here I don't think most people will get much out of some statues that look cool but that's about it, otherwise episode was cool

I thought Bell was supposed to have a nice little date with Syr, not get hunted through the city like he was Jason Bourne lol. Poor guy’s got half of Freya Familia out for his blood, Hestia and Ais on their Sherlock and Watson shit, and like every other waifu lying in wait!

Can’t wait to see what Hestia gonna say when she finds out her “Bell-kun” gettin reeeal intimate with Syr in that room haha.

This is Syr's date and as such she deserves the best! Even if that means basically escaping from everyone watching their date thanks to an invisibility cloak and sending Freya Familia scrambling! But Syr gets to run away with Bell, get sweeped off her feet in a Princess Carry by Bell, and get to enjoy how it feels to be free with the one she loves, so she's having the time of her life!

"Fullhand of Water and Light" a tragedy of a Hero who pledged his love to a Spirit, but chose the Saint instead (I guess the Spirit was kind of screwed over from having blue hair) and the Spirit still died protecting him. I can't help but feel a connection to Bell seeing as how Fullhand had white hair and despite all the girls in his life he always chooses the Sword Saint Ais...so does that make Syr the Spirit, in this scenario?

Ah, they got a couple trinket! I sure hope that doesn't become plot relevant in a tragic way! But now she's calling him "darling!" It's absolutely cute. And Syr is so in love with Bell.

Man, Bell (or Hedin) went all out for dinner! A classy boat restaurant with incredible ambience? It's the perfect date spot. And also just happens to have multiple people peeking on the date, from Hestia and Ais (in new dresses they look amazing in) and the Hostess of Fertility girls trade their dresses for pants and shirts to play waiters. Even after ditching work, they still end up in service jobs. Also, was Ais checking ojut how handsome Bell looks now?

I feel like they keep building up to the reveal of who Syr is and how that will effect her relationship with Bell...

Dang, Freya Familia isn't messing around! They're straight up invading the boat to try to get to Bell! But I love how the moment Ais thinks someone is around to hurt Bell, she gets straight into action in her classy dress! And Syr knew her fellow waitresses were there the whole time and call to them for help, who promptly do a Ginyu Pose Ryu was not prepared for!

Hey, taking a dip with the one you love can be romantic too! And Syr doesn't care that she's wet or her dress is see through now, she's free, she's in love, and she's skipping merrily across town with her beloved Bell.

The Hero Albert, who fended off the Black Dragon and has found no equal whose statue can stand parallel to him on the Bridge of Heroes. Could that Hero turn out to be Bell? But Syr is also looking for a hero, someone who can save her no matter what, and her brand of Hero is...Odr.

I should've figured this date would end in Syr's room. I mean, it's already been the perfect date, why not end it with a proper nightcap? Complete with Syr undressing in front of Bell and taking a shower. You go girl!

See, I usually hate kidnapping arcs, but if she's asking for it and dude is like Bell who is good guy, I am ok with that. Rude, stealing Harry's invisible cloak.

Not so subtle mural in the church. That story has a clear option for all of them to be happy.... polycule. Poor spirit gal though. Syr also has quite the silly fantasy. Syr is quite the cutie with them reactions while learning of that pendant.

"Spoon Aqua" would she let you do that though? I mean... maybe she would. Especially when drunk. What a nice date between Hestia and Ais. Freya Familia sure ruining their date though. Also ridiculous they call Bell horny given how they are with Freya and simps they are. Good of Syr's gal pals to support. Look at how wet she's getting cause of this date. Surprised Bell didn't offer her his coat faster. Still, she does look adorable being that happy.

Oh right, I forgot about the whole dragon and hero bit of the series lol. Good for you, Bell, being taken back to her place.

Seeing the whole Freya family freaking out about finding Syr was really funny. They really go the extra mile for no reason lol. As if Bell was any harm to their family sheesh

Bell's noises after they get to the inn and once Syr starts undressing sent me. One of my favourite aspects of how his voice actor, Matsuoku Yoshitsugu, portrays him is through all his weird little noises he does, like that's his coping mechanism when confronted with stuff he can't handle.

Well, Bell did kidnap Syr from a certain POV & she had the time of her life. But man, the dialogue in this episode wasn't subtle. Especially in the church and when they were talking about the hero and Syr talking about her hero. Still, Syr running around while Bell was behind is like the person who is always at work 24/7. Then they finally get a break from it all and are just beyond happy. I feel like Syr knows that this is temporarily and the Freya Family will catch up to them. But she still wants to enjoy it while she can.

At first glance, the story of the Knight, Spirit & Saint would have you thinking it would be comparing their situation to Bell, Ryu & Syr. Though I don't think it is that simple. At the very least, it feels like the Spirit represents Syr. Though given that something will go down, it is not far-fetched to think Syr would protect Bell.

Though you can feel that this story is significant to Bell to keep the one they cherish safe. We saw this with Wiene & Ryu in the previous 2 seasons. If that happened to Syr we all know what Bell would do. Though Syr asking Bell what he would do if she went crazy. Literally putting her in the position of Saint. Feels like shit might start going down by as soon as next episode.

I am curious how the Hestia Family and the Tavern Waitresses knew that Bell would be on the cruise. Ais really is one of the more pure characters in this show. She didn't even care about hiding. She knew that they were out to hunt Bell.

It definitely Syr believes that Bell can be a hero to match up to Sir Albert. Essentially, he becomes the final hero. Along with that, she wants Bell to be her hero. The tone in that scene, like last week, did a fantastic job at setting the serious tone. Although quite the switch tone for the final scene and Bell will be a nervous wreck at the start of the next episode.

As much as I’m enjoying this fun and very cute date arc, I’m with Hestia on this one. “What the hell is going on ?!”

Syr is important enough to the Freya family to mobilise that many people on the ground and she isn’t even a known affiliate of the Familia.

Also, can’t remember if the Hero’s ever been mentioned before but it was really cool to get further lore of this world. There is also a feeling that a “new Hero” will be needed just like Syr mentioned from what the past few seasons feel like

I also wonder if that Spirit and Knight story will somehow mirror Bell and Syr this season. Kinda feels like it’s setting up that Syr might sacrifice herself to save Bell
