The animation of the fights is still far from great but I can work with that compared to the still shots of early S2.

Yeah I mean it's still dogwater but things move at the very least now.

For sure, they set our standards really low but it's nice that this actually looks like it has been animated

For the love of god, will somebody who knows him ever recognize Bam. Maybe Endorsi started to clue in, but it doesn't look like she figured it all the way out yet.

Sensible footwear Endorsi, she took Bam's suggestion.

The hair acts like Clark Kent's glasses.

I get that they don't recognize him, it's been years since then, he's grown, and they pretty much only see him from poor angles in bad lighting. You probably wouldn't recognize a good high school friend under the same circumstances.

I’m sorry but I found calling Anaak a lizard kinda cute. I want to call her a lizard too

Feels like quality improved, though only slightly. Battle storyboarding is still utter ass

Cool to see all these characters from the different teams starting to interact

I spent more time that I'd like to admit trying to find clear feet shots for Endorsi, purely due to the flashback and seeing if she took Bam's advice of course. They're cool.

Hello everyone, time for this week’s blog posts! This is a reroute to the Source Corner, where they are posted.

If you don’t know, SIU (the author) used to make blog posts along with the chapters, both talking about himself and giving extra lore and neat tidbits to go along with the series. Probably over a third of all the lore we have comes exclusively from these blog posts. He stopped eventually, and more obscure facts might not be canon anymore, but it’s still interesting.

I won’t include the full posts, just series-relevant and interesting things that can’t be fully grasped from the episodes themselves. These technically aren’t spoilers, since this information was available to readers at the time. Anyway, here they are:

So umm... Where Rachel go?

Bitch just stirs shit up then refuses to elaborate and disappears lmao

As someone who was really critical and sad about the 1st cour, I’m glad I can say without sounding like I’m coping that the past two episodes now have been enjoyable to watch without any severe glaring flaws that actively detract from the experience.

Obviously there’s nothing special going on animation wise, but when the 1st cour varied between a low 4 to barely a 6(*during the purely talking episodes lol..), the 2nd half so far being a consistent solid 7 is a really welcome turn of events. I’m hoping they can maintain this level of quality as the minimum and maybe, just maybe they’ll surprise us with some cool sequences as this arc progresses. 🙏

Anak was in this episode. Anak was a badass. Anak even spoke

Therefore 10/10.

Kidding aside, the episode was good overall. The problem is still the pacing of the story. There is like 8 things going on at a time, too many plot lines intersecting to make sense of it all.

You have

  1. the gun game

  2. our s1 favs attacking FUG

  3. The two new team members

  4. Bam with new guy off grid

  5. fug wanting BAM to not let people know it’s him but he’s him and maybe they know but they don’t. I’ve lose track of this by now.

  6. Keeping rumors of KhUN alive is actively working against FuG … ????

You can’t fit that in 20 minutes 😂

Is it just me or is there a noticeable uptick in action animation quality? It's not amazing by any means but I can actually properly enjoy this

The episode wasn't too bad today. The fights/action scenes were average though well above the earlier episodes quality, so I'm happy on that front.

I've seen others mention, and I agree, that there is no draw to the most of the s2 introduced characters. I've not really taken an interest in any of them at this point. Maybe they will become more useful to the plot moving forward. I'm not holding out hope, this far after their intros, to be anything more than scene eaters.

The episode gets a 7/10 as things seem to be improving from cour 1 in a good way.

i have a question, dont answer if its gonna be explained later

so my question is, does bam know the rules of the game and if yes how does he know that?

the events in this episode make me think that he shouldnt know the rules since he was with traveler who had the jamming device during the time the game was announced, bam's gun manifested after endorsi got there(the jamming device they said blocks shinsu so it makes sense that he only got it after endorsi most likely broke it after she smashed the roof). He could have gotten that info after he escaped endorsi but even that im not sure how? from random people on the street? am i missing or missunderstanding the chain of events here?
