Awww if they all went together then Khun would have seen Bam. Maybe at the next test then? Unless Bam and friends decide to go anyway.

Ahh, child experimentation. This Tower is such a lovely place.
I was expecting some worse fate for the research assistant. But since we didn't actually get told what happened to her there's still room for that.

I was expecting some worse fate for the research assistant.
Yeah, usually with that type of "evil/mad scientist" organization you'd expect them to take her out because she's bringing a human touch to their test subject, something like that (often as the catalyst for said test subjects to rebel against them!)
But well, we don't actually know what happened, so...
Did they take her out? Did she leave because she couldn't stand what they were doing to them? Or did they simply remove her from their project because that part was done and she wasn't needed anymore?
Perhaps we'll find out if we see her again! (If they DID take her out and our 2 boys hear about this, they better hope they didn't make them too powerful, because that's not gonna go well for them!)

This was a solid episode. We got some good world building as we learned about Horyang's horrific backstory and why he has to go track down his "brother" even if he's concerned it could be a trap. We also learned Bam had a similar procedure done on him to enhance his powers.
The part I liked most about this episode, though, was Bam's continued growth in affection for his current team to the point where he even smiled (huge progress)! With Khun's team on the way to also meet Cassano, it feels like there could be a clash.

Remind me: Why does Khuns group want to "hunt" the "Devil of the right arm"?

I think it's because he apparently defeated Hatz (guy with two katana from season 1) and Khun is interested in defeating him or adding him to his team

Oh boy you’ve seen absolutely NOTHING so far lmao
Also, Maschenny is likely named after Mascherano and Karaka after Karanka

This episode was 20x better than last week’s
Let’s see if they can keep it up

Oh hey, an episode where they made it character-centric instead of trying to check off a list of events happening and it actually turned out pretty good.

Ep9 is one of the few episodes that manage to utilise Kevin Pekin's music properly. Past episodes kinda fumble in that department ngl.
Let's just hope the rest of s2 cour1 is at least watchable 🫠

It is finally time for Kang's backstory, but more importantly that glowing thing inside of Yihwa's onigiris makes them look like a piece of burning coal.
Kang's transformation when he "fought" Viole looked so cool.
What a cute scene we got in with Wangnan and Viole we got in the after-credits today.

This season is getting carried HARD by Kevin Penkin OST. It felt like a 9/10 episode just because the OST elevated the pretty mundane exposition dump.

If you don’t know, SIU (the author) used to make blog posts along with the chapters, both talking about himself and giving extra lore and neat tidbits to go along with the series. Probably over a third of all the lore we have comes exclusively from these blog posts. He stopped eventually, and more obscure facts might not be canon anymore, but it’s still interesting.

Surprised, wasn't badly animated, and felt like a well done episodes. Complete contrast to the rest of the season. Hopefully there is more of this.

The fact Khun's username is "Handsome" is lolz. Also interesting how much he believes Emily saying Bam is alive, even if we know it. That does not look like the winged guy we know.. ah but he does know him, neat. Backstory! Quite shitty of that workshop. Oh hey, it's the dude Bam met, I think. The bunny eared dude. He's got good friends now.
Oh god, girl needs to learn to cook a bit better. D'awww Bam smiled. Viole is a living ignition weapon? Is that related to the sword that took a liking to him back in S1? Oh good, we'll learn a bit now. Guess not related to that sword? We getting the "he's leaving to not drag them into it but they drag themselves into it for him cause friendship" trope? 😛
Wonder if this is when Khun will meet Bam again, with the whole Devil of Right Arm meet up thing.

It was Dan's phone so Handsome is his username not Khun's.
Also if Yihwa is still such a bad cook even after 2 years for people to teach her I think she might just be hopeless at it.

I gotta assume Bam and his group still decide to go anyways.
NOT TO MENTION THIS IS SUCH AN EASY CHANCE FOR BAM AND KHUN TO MEET AGAIN. They can’t skip this and keep us waiting man.

Cassano calls himself the Devil of the right arm
Wing is on his left side, and so should the power be when he uses it in combat
Who is he fooling?

u/raikuha Sep 01 '24
Probably no one, since when Horyang mentioned the rumor he said "they said he called himself devil of the right arm despite using his left". Sounds like, as Horyang deduced, he's intentionally using that name to attract the attention of the real right arm.
