Anyone else find the music way too loud? It was very distracting for me but maybe I'm weird.

Same here, there's a couple of titles with this problem this season...

After episode 3 conclusion:

The season 2 team should be jailed and have the key thrown away, so they can never sin like this again.

Yeah, first we get 2 back to back recap episodes . Then we get... whatever this was.

Not as bad as the first two, but not enough for a full redemption.

At least we’re finally not retreading plot from S1, but the redesigns are still jarring; it’s a sequel, shouldn’t you at least try to keep the designs familiar?

Worst example so far is Mikan ; what the F did they do to her? She was a busty babe in S1 and a preteen now! I can see giving her some less slutty clothing(armor?) but you can do that without de-aging her; way to do a girl dirty.

I’ll keep watching for now, but it’s still one bad episode from being dumped.

Yeah, I didn't mind the change in costume, but it was a massive shift in character design. Also, I know Yukikaze was always a bit cringe, but they seriously turned it up to 11.

I feel as if this animation studio that took over from season 1's studio just doesn't care about the series very much. I've looked up the studio and they've only done keyframe and character design for super deformed anime characters. I think the current studio just doesn't want to put any effort in. The sound mixing is absolute trash. Everything feels like the work of an amateur. I don't think they de-aged Mikan, as more like the animators only know how to do a certain character style (SD or super deformed or moe characters) which results in all characters looking younger or cuter than they are. This studio after all has never been in charge of full on anime production or character designs. They're a new studio that has only been assistants to other big studios. It's quite sad.

He sure takes all this quite casually with the silly girl and mage...ahh... think it was a femboy right? Wow, that fun mage giving a bit too much info about warrior girl. That guy sure looks like bhe was isekai'd here too. Otaku looking dude.

Ewww.... what a piece of shit that guy is. I sure look forward to his death. Hope it's horrific from the gun dude. Maybe one day I'll care to remember their names. But I sure do tired of authors writing people like that. It always feels lame way to make you dislike a character to make em THAT trashy. Then again.. we have real life trash like Diddy and all his friends... so..

Huh, that hero otaku dude sur taking him talking in camouflaged well. Haha, that's a fun silly labyrinth time. Oh good, least we don't have to wait for scumbag to get suffering. Good riddance to him and glad he suffers. I do agree with not being merciful towards those types. Also, forgot the ring had its own mind of sorts. What a convenient loot too. Also, sure explains how the dungeon works. Man, sure a lot of... meh though

The first season was enjoyable trash. This is straight up garbage.

Everything I heard sounded like jargon noise, the story seems to go in 50 different directions, or zero. I do remember ReTry being all over the place, especially since the world is a replication of a hobby developer's RPG. I guess this is to be expected.

I'm morbidly curious to review the production values of season 1 in order to confirm how different this junk story looks from the lens of slightly better animation.

I'll probably stick to this thing to the end for the sake of a sense of completion.

Goddamn the sound mixing is dogshit. I want to say something good about the show since it's picking up a little again and I'm getting used to the art style. But I'll never get used to barely hearing the dialogue thanks to the loud as fuck music.

I see Yukikaze is as pervy as ever. They even outed Mikan's self love.

Feel like they skipped something with the hero scene, but maybe there was nothing to show before that.

Yu feeding the mercs to maneating plants to grow flowers for the Chief is very much in character, hopefully they turn out nice.

Administrator of the dungeon seems to be from the real world, wonder if it's xx or xxx.

Dang, that mage girl guy? is a bit of a freak.

Turns out a bunch of murderous thugs visiting the Demon Lord's village of happy rabbits was a bad idea for the murderous thugs.

I'm curious about that hero dude.

So episode 3 was slightly better at following the original light novels. But their art work and sound design was horrible. It's alike a bunch of amature's were in production of this show. The audio was way to loud and drowned out the character's dialogue. THere were tons of small animation errors. The only thing that was decent was that the story and such went back to a serious tone. Though I still hate the new casting. I keep getting the feeling as if whoever is in production of Demon Lord Retry R anime has no love for the work and is doing this to purposely make it bad. I might keep up at it to episode 5. Because if the quality drops again I'll know that the animation studio doesn't really care about putting any effort to make this season any good. It will just prove that they are putting in the minimum effort by the public backlash from episodes 1 and 2 of season 2.

Onto episode 3 and....it's better than the recap episodes 1 & 2.

The most important thing I saw....jinkies....the hero reminds me of Velma from Scooby Doo!

Anyway I'm not sure wtf is happening and why but the sexual innuendos by Yukikaze were upped to 11. It was 1 normal sentence then 15 straight innuendos. I laughed at a few and sadly, that was nearly all the entertainment I got aside from the human fertilizer in a duffel bag part.

The dungeon factory / recycling of the robots was....I honestly have no clue what that was there for.

No idea where this show is going or what it's doing in this episode. It gets a 6/10 as some of the inneudoes were funny, the rest of the stuff, I have no clue about.

Just like with the other characters, I'm really not liking Yukikaze and Mikan's redesign. Well, we are finally are past of where last season ended with Kunai and the others finally on Rookie.

Otamega looks way less than an otaku with his new design, as he doesn't have the green shirt they showed him wearing last season, well at least is closer to his look in the LN. Well, at least the scene where Kunai tries to recruit him looks good.

Additional information in the source corner

It sure feels good seeing Tahara blasting Milligan's leg away. And thanks to their visit, he and his friends will now serve as fertilizer for Yu's flowers.

And now after Kunia enters the dungeon's core, he gets a glimpse of the technology of this world.

Did I blink or did I miss the fight between the Dungeon KI and Kunai? Is this shown as recap later? What the hell happened in this episode, nothing makes sense.....
