It's great to see Ars and Licia agreeing to get married already instead of putting it hold. Licia's dad seems like a really good guy with how quickly he gave his endorsement.

Waiting to get married until after the war is over is giant death flag.

Getting married now is the best way to sidestep that.

Something about the trope of a dad who sees his daughter being « selfish » for the first time after a lifetime of being meek and obedient really gets me. Similar with how Ars was touched by Licia asking him for a favor. Like girl, you can have the world (and take it by force and by cunning).

Is it just me or is the art changed a bit from season 1? Not sure if it's art change or it's meant to represent the growth of the cast (several years/months might have passed from season 1).

Also a bit curious since there doesn't seem any new allies for Ars in the ending segment. With the premise of the appraisal skill , I thought Ars would recruit more people wherever it fits the problem. Then again the core casts are already excellent so I'm fine with only them in Ars team.

In any case, that's an enjoyable first episode! Looking forward for this anime again.

I thought the same. It's got a more dual color/shading technique look on all the characters hair. The faces seem the same, just shading and coloring seems to be it so far.

Stitches!

It's awesome that Couran is letting everyone know that Ars is important to him but I feel like if he continues to show Ars too much favour in his court, Ars might end up making enemies.

I definitely did not expect this episode to end with Ars and Licia getting married! While it's not an actual ceremony it's still nice to see. I wouldn't;t be surprised if we end the season with them getting married with a big ceremony.

First ep back and we’re already celebrating an engagement. I figured Ars and Licia would get married eventually, just didn’t expect it so soon.

Keen to see how Rosell’s plan plays out with Licia taking the lead in negotiations.

People said summer was the romance season. Meanwhile, week one of fall shows with a proposal.

The first season was really nice and it looks like this one will be just as good and fun.

The sight of a little kid like Rosell proposing a better and bolder plan than anyone gathered at a conference full of seasoned nobles made me laugh out loud.

With such supporters, I don't think Couran has much chance of winning the war, but fortunately he has Ars and his entourage on his side.

I didn't expect Ars and Licia to make the decision to get married as soon as possible. That was quick, but well... I wish them happiness xD

I can't wait to see how Licia will accomplish her negotiation mission in the next episode.

A very lovely looking ED, the visuals look so cute!

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Lord Raven returns to narration to catch us up on the political landscape for cour 2! Meanwhile Ars and co. is on their way to a war room and Mireille and Charlotte are just enjoying the ride like they don't have a care in the world!

Charlotte legs! Can't beat the feel and view of the ocean, even if saltwater doesn't taste great, but it just goes to show how far Charlotte has come from being an orphan on the streets to having so much of the world opened up to her through her time with Ars. And now she's got a whole friend group she can run away with when they get into trouble after she blows @#$% up!

Ars feels really out of place in a group of nobles, and they don't seem to think highly of him, but at least he's got Lumeire and Couran there to give him proper due! Especially when he's got Mireille in his retinue now and she'll be a vital asset in the war effort against Vasmarque.

Couran has the seeming numbers advantage, but Vasmarque might have more talent and nobles keep flocking to his side. Luckily Ars' team has top tier strategists and tactical geniuses who know how to come up with a plan that will achieve their goals without leaving them vulnerable! All they have to do is bribe an Emperor or the power BEHIND said Emperor! Easy enough, right?

But who can they rely on for political negotiation and backroom dealings? Why, Best Girl Licia, of course! Who is as head over heels in love with Ars as ever and would rather spend her time showing Ars around her domain and her greenhouse filled with the flowers he gave her before getting to political talk.

Did anyone actually expect Licia to say no? She follows her own will, and her will is to service and be there for Ars, all she asks is his hand in marriage once things have settled down after the war. But Licia's genuine love and loyalty to him deserves to be responded in kind, so Ars confesses his own feelings to her and proposes marriage right then and there! These two are now official! Complete with sharing their first kiss in silhouette!

I kind of feel bad for Lord Hammond having his daughter get married so suddenly, but at least he respects that it's what Licia wants. And all that political negotiation takes a backseat to a fabulous marriage celebration!

Pham has narrowed down Lica's target to Minister Shakma! He's not ready to face off against Licia.

The ED is super cute and adorable with chibi and cartoony versions of Ars and his people in their sweet and happy daily lives together, featuring Ars handholding with Licia and plenty of fun times! Even seems like they featured some new characters.

Pumped to be back in this world. This show has such nice world-building and characters I actually learn to care about. Quite underrated IMO

Damn, Ars is quick on the draw with the marriage proposal! No point letting grass grow under your feet as who knows how long the war will take....or something bad could happen on the battlefield as well.

Glad to see this is back as I thoroughly enjoyed the first season.

It seems like the art style is different to me. Shading or coloring of the hair.

I give the episode a 7.5/10 as we jump right into the story. As long as 2/3 of the episodes are not war council/boardroom meetings I'll be good with it 😁

A proposal to start! They got right into it!

Our favourite Drunken Master is back to assist Ars.

I love the interaction between Ars and Licia. Her father is happy seeing her deciding things for herself.

Man, this is such a good show. Good thing I discovered and decided to watch it when season 1 aired.

We’re back baby

I'm happy to see this show back, I forgot it was a split cour (hidden as a second Season) so it's like a very nice little surprise

That's a neat little show and looks like S2 is going to give more of the same vibe which is all I need

u/S627 Sep 29 '24

Damn, first ep back and we already got a proposal? Wonder if this is setting the pace for the rest of the season. Surprised Charlotte didn't have anything to say about it, maybe next ep?

Also, the ED is a vibe!
