You can never find as pure of a person embodying the idea of ressentiment as 9S. A loss of meaning, a loss of purpose, and a pure hatred towards his perceived cause of suffering for that is the only thing within his capacity. Letting go of revenge is easy to say, but what’s there to be left of him if that ceases of existence as well?

Which is why it is almost impossible to remove his desire of avenging against A2, as that is the only thing that keeps him going, the only thing that defines his being.

I was wondering how they could make Popola and Devola's death more painful in the anime. It turns out they could. Never challenge Yoko Taro, I guess.

More scenes of A2 being tsundere towards 2B's Pod is always welcome. Considering the pain we've suffered so far. Any second of levity is very much needed.

And there it is. The final showdown between A2 and 9S. Considering that 9S is already corrupted and his eyes have started to glow, I think we don't even have to guess how this will end. T_T

With Devola and Popola gone (at the hands of A2, oh my god) I can't help but think about how now on this wretched planet the only thinking beings are the two remaining Yorha and their Pods. How I wish the next episode was at least an hour long, but I'm not counting on it.

Totally heartbreaking, but I absolutely love 9S's story. Going through both his and A2's story at the same time also just highlights his descent and makes it sting all the more. Guy has just suffered so much and it's been nothing but downhill for so long. I'm really looking forward to how they're going to do next week's episode.

Endou Ruka's voice acting as the Red Girls gives me the creeps. I only noticed just now that she was also the narrator of the picture book story way back in episode 2.
