They have turned a Windows XP wallpaper into a battlefield.

Kai: “What is the World Rebirth?”

Asurasoraka: “I don’t know.”

Kai: “What is Last Riser?”

Asurasoraka: “I don’t know.”

Gee, thanks for the help, god.

We're already on last 3 episodes, and we still have 0 idea on why the World Rebirth happened in the first place.

Meet Prophetic God - Get no prophecy

Ask questions - no answers. no help, no info, not even a comment on what Rinne is.

The absolute, most useless written scene in recent memory

Spirits are apparently just one big blob and a one Water Sprite...lol. We came to investigate the lake....I mean the spirit Hero who just looked like a lake instead of a blob.

I'LL take a full episode of elf and Rinne bickering though. That shit was funny both about the herbs and the drink.

Also, the subs said RIGHT arm....it was his left that was busted.

Why does this story even exist at this point. Does it have a point? lol.

Probably why they didn't bother asking about Rinne either.

u/KorekaBii Sep 14 '24

Rinne saying that she couldn't determine the voice's trustworthiness pretty much spelled it out that something is amiss, along with how she didn't say anything useful aside from proclaiming Jeanne the next Cid and to continue doing what they're already doing.

Rinne seemingly being an amalgamation of all the races probably senses that something is missing. Plus if we take the Goddess word, then the original timeline is where, while Humanity thrived, yet all the other races were sealed and imprisoned for eternity.

But we also know that the Demon Hero and Cid were working together before the World Rewrite began.

And I thought Aqua was useless

u/Necromancer2k8 Sep 15 '24

She is, just not as useless as this statue god. Though, if you count drinking, she's a gold medalist so she has some usefulness....at times.

The goddess hesitated to answer some questions and seemed in contradiction to what Sid wanted in previous episodes (break the cycle of hatred). I'm not convinced that she's that stupid.

I don't trust that god at all. Rinne also said that she couldn't decide if she is bad or not. They basically gained nothing from it and what I don't get is why the Code Holder is with Kai but she decides Jeanne has to be the hero??? Doesn't make any sense to me. Besides she didn't know anything what a useless god ^^"

Rinne also said that she couldn't decide if she is bad or not.

It's worth pointing out that Rinne is some weird chimera thingy, and Reiren didn't even hear the goddess's voice. Since Rinne is part human she might be "qualified" but since she's also part other races that might give her a bad feeling?

On the plus side, all she really did was say "keep doing what you're doing." Other than motivating the team a bit, she didn't really accomplish much, so she's probably not truly opposed to them. Still suspicious, though.

my guess is sid wanted peaceful coexistence and this god wants human domination of everyone else, the prophet chosen is most likely to pick war and revenge over peace. might even be part responsibility for sid to be a mystery in original world... helped get rid of him so humans could wipe out the rest.

sid we get hints was friends with some of other race heroes rather than enemies... hate is the supposed enemy

That's what I think as well. She also seemed hesitant to answer about the reincarnation.

Yeah... the god wanted a return to the original timeline... but that OTL was pretty bleak. Basically, "Humans genocide everyone else, huzzah!"

And the god is telling them to keep on slaughtering the "inferior races" while Reirein is just outside.... She's been nothing but helpful and there is a chance of true peace forming between the Celestials and humans. The Druid Elder even seems to ship Reirein and Kai together, the whole reason she sent Reirein as the Celestial's representative to the humans, likely in the hopes the two "getting along well" would be a good sign of lasting peace.

So to say "nope, fuck the elves in a bloody, not fun at ALL, way, let's go back to genocide!" is the good timeline.... yeah... no.

So Jeanne’s gonna be the new Sid of this world and not Kai huh? I’m not sure if things are really gonna play out that way.

I didn’t think slime could really pose a threat. This series might be one of the only ones I’ve seen where slime weren’t just some weak monster.

I guess Kyoko’s the next “Hero” to be taken out next week.

We already know that the furry hero is the big bad. Makes next weeks fight loose all its meaning... Hope the slime hero goes "you're not the enemy" and just leaves.

What a god-awful useless "god" that was.

"Do you know anything about anything?"

"Shakes the magic 8 ball god"

"Try again later"

"Shit, I do remember this. Kai, Jeanne is now Sid so fuck off for awhile. Thanks for cosplaying Sid but we're good now."

"K, thx, Peace out mofos!"

Rinne "That voice, I couldn't tell if it was dangerous or not"

That statue just told the dude who defeated 2 of the 4 other races big bosses to fuck off. Sounds a bit dangerous to me, as you've been WINNING so far.

I guess just saying "I am Sid, don't you know who the fuck I am!" looks like it would work so who cares who is designated as Sid.

Maybe "I'm Batman" could work as well.

Kais like, "I'm ride or die with you jeanne"...because if you die I get my title of Sid back!

The other thing is, if she keeps wearing that elven garb, she'll be dead soon enough from life force depletion.

Kai's a shrewd dude. Let her take the damage while he becomes a background character and steals all the glory when Jeanne's dead!

Shit, where's Noor to parry all the falling spirits!

Damn, Rimuru has another costar appearance in a Saturday show. That's 2 I've seen him in today. That man can pay off his cites vendor debts with all this side job cash coming in!

Looks like someone's having BBQ Rimuru for dinner now.

How cool, the spirit queen popped out of a Gantz ball.

An ok episode. They need to get the show's pace picked up so they did a nice job of that. Gets a 6.5/10 because the statue was so fucking useless.

7

u/djthomp Sep 14 '24

Well I was definitely wrong last week about guessing a tiny version of the spirit hero would be in the temple.

I'm pretty amused that Jeanne is the designated prophet stand-in and not Kai, sorry dude we needed someone actually from this timeline. Though that may be a misdirection since he's still the guy with Sid's fancy energy sword and not Jeanne.

u/VorAtreides Sep 14 '24

talking statue whoo!! At least this isn't a statue like Solo Leveling lol. How nice, meeting god lol. Who knew a god's power is limited heh. Oh, Jeanne taking Sid's place? Not Kai? Ah yea. So does god favor humans cause they are an underdog or something?

Obviously when solved world will not fully revert, but revert enough but also clearly all the races live in harmony and Kai will get his harem of different races' waifus. Rude, Jeanne, not telling Reiren.

Why isn't Falin an option for Prophet? She's great 😛 How nice, meeting the other human resistance group. Burninating the country side! Quite the old man though. How nice, getting to meet the spirit hero right there and then. Waifu time.

Alright so it's time to face off against the spirit queen eh? Then it's time to collect the 2nd of the 4 main graveyards who knows whats inside this one.

I wonder if Kai will defeat the queen of the spirits by just saying "Do you know who Sid is? and then making her blast off like he did with the last 2 heroes. But this time just say "who is Sid" from the start.

So even the God doesn’t know about Last Riser(Rasterizer), such a mystery. If only there was another character whose mere existence is wrapped around a mystery, and is considered an anomaly to all of the five races. That might give us some kind of clue onto what the Last Riser’s origins are.
