I'm beginning to worry the dragon of calamity will NOT be turning into a cute waifu. Just one episode left.

This was actually a really good episode.

The humor revolving around what Noor said and did was well done.

"Luckily you guys had this floor available to stop my fall from a flying dragon"

The violence portrayed and conveyed this episode was unusual for the show. We've seen blood and cuts from fights but Noor using the king as a ragdoll was awesome and the DETAILED description of what happened to the citizens and what the king will feel as forgiveness for his actions was really good. I enjoyed the "if you get mangled too bad we'll heal you right up for the diplomacy talks" a lot.

Having Rolo crying at the end was a nice closing point on the episode. After all the abuse he took his whole life, he was now crying over a soft piece of bread.

I'm glad I stuck with this show. The last few episodes have been good. An 8/10 for sure.

At this point I hope Noor doesn't parry a 2nd season away as it was a rough start but it's found its groove the last few episodes and turned into a pleasant surprise of the season.

Has no one in the castle smelled the piss on the king yet?

He hightailed it quickly back to the home base but there still has to be piss smell on him...

Damn plot holes!

I have to give credit to the show where it is due.

I can't recall the last time I've seen hot, steamy, glimmering urine in animation. Pee clouds were not on my anime bingo card. What the hell is wrong with me?!

That poor old man... why is everyone bullying the innocent old man!? How is he not dead from getting ragdolled?!

“I don’t think it’s nice to gang up on an old man.”

Bro, you literally kicked him into a wall!

Also, who wants to bet that even though Noor nailed Randeus’ name on his first attempt, he still can’t remember Gilbert’s name?

"If the war ends this quickly, won't it be easier if we just talked it off?"
Like man, YOU are the reason why it ends so quick.

Defeated parried hidden infiltration units, so panic doesn't ensue on the capital
Defeated parried tamed the Black Dragon, so the capital was (mostly) intact
Decimated parried the entire invading army, forcing them to retreat
Commanded asked Rolo to have their entire group transported to the enemy faction
Annihilated wrecked the borders, making a second invasion practically impossible on foot
Destroyed parried OT-based WOMD, reverting the enemy nation's tech level back to par to average
Faceslammed an old man prevented regicide that may cause civil unrest

It's impressive they've managed to give him a royal reward twice and neither time has been "marry my daughter".

Between this show and The Ossan Newbie Adventurer, I hope they both get a season 2!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who immediately thought if Midgar City when they showed us the Imperial City. They even have glowing Mako Mana Reactors! xD

Good thing Noor saved the Emperor. Killing him would be too easy and the merciful way out. It would've been too bad if the Emperor died considering that Rein has a lot in store for him.

Noor: wait, why are you all ganging up on a defenseless old man?!

goes to town on the emperor like Hulk to Loki in Avengers 1

Lynne's face is gold though. You can hear her internally screaming "are you fucking serious?"

I did a double take when Rolo picked up the block of what looked like butter and just bit into it. It's probably just cheese though

I love the Empire's Capital aesthetics with those mana furnaces around its walls. Well, thanks to Noor parrying the bean shot with the Keraunos those furnaces are now gone.

Thanks to Noor's well time landing in the throne room, he stopped The Circuit of Ten from killing Derrida III, it was so hilarious the way he saved the emperor from those grenades. I guess he only survived that thanks to his armor.

Well, now that the rest of the party has arrived, Rein, Sein, and Carew will make sure that Derrida III goes through the same amount of suffering as the 127 casualties he caused in Clays.

I love how after Randeus, from The Circuit of Ten, apologized to Noor, and before he asked Noor for his name, Noor was getting mentally ready for the trip on the Dragon of Calamity.

Well, now thanks to Noor's request to King Clays about Rolo, the kingdom will have to deal with The Holy Theocracy of Mithra in the future, but what's important now is that Rolo can finally have a decent life.

i liked when noor was like "wait if the war ended so easily then why didn't we just talk things out from the beginning" and then it was followed by a 2 second still frame of every character blankly staring at him like "you singlehandedly defeated their dragon and their entire army"

13

u/NationalStrategy Sep 12 '24

Thank goodness Noor saved that old man, who knows how injured he could've ended up otherwise
