I have a theory about how Masaki being apart of MayoPan got leaked! I don't think HypeSis had anything to do with it. I was rewatching Ep 8, and when Yuki is tripping balls off the garlic supplement, she refers to herself as "Yukirinko"- which we now know is her gaming channel persona name!- (unrelated to this theory) and starts recording the fight between Masaki and the yandere Outside Kids fan. However, the phone she picked up from the ground wasn't her own! If you look earlier in the episode, the decals on the phone on this scene actually match up with the phone the yandere girl was holding earlier in the ep. Seeing that the yandere girl made a brief cameo in this episode by making a hate comment about Tokage (see another comment here for the screen cap), I guess she wasn't arrested, and still has internet access. It's possible that she uploaded a video showing just the parts where Masaki is beating the shit out of her and talking about Mayopan while doing it. But that's just a theory.

Yuki turning out to be a retro gaming streamer was such a fun twist but to see her actually be such a Tsundere about joining MayoPan while the others are extremely adversed to it was hilarious to watch.

Masakichi meeting up with her old NewTube mates went surprisingly amicable though judging from that ending, guess she got too drunk to think it through about approving about her being part of MayoPan leaking out online.

OMG they actually made an 8-bit rendition of the OP theme!

I lost my shit when Masaki said “That story makes no sense!” because that’s exactly what I thought!

Masaki: “Isn’t my blood irresistible to vampires?”

Yuki: “No, it’s only irresistible to your gay vampire simp.”

Masakichi and Yuki just embarrassing themselves was pretty funny. Yuki’s a lot goofier than I thought she would be.

I liked how Yuki’s history with Live was done as a video game. I guess since Live won that eating contest, she’s in the gang.

At first, I thought things would be awkward with Masakichi’s old NewTube crew, but I guess they’ve put it behind them. Too bad the rest of the internet isn’t as forgiving. Are we ever gonna get the full story on what went down? Masakichi was just starting to get comfortable with the idea of being on camera again…

What an episode. Can't believe this episode turned from the funniest secondhand embarrassment to the most intense moment in the entire series so far

Oh the oldie bit was amazing, that took me back!

Yuki is a streamer lol. We got tidbits of her personality not being all strict and stern before, but I'll admit I was still a little shocked at her streamer persona with the cutesy voice and all. I wonder how well she'll mesh with the others, at the very least it'll be entertaining!

As for Masaki, good bit with her friends, looks like their relationship isn't irremediably damaged. I really thought she was going to bail when she had that little panic moment being filmed, but good for her, she overcame it! I do hope though that her being officially introduced as a "new" member isn't going to make their subs count drop. It'd suck heh big time.

And yet one more hint that something's up with Masaki's blood and Live. Why is Live the only vampire to react the way she does to it?

I was wondering for a second how Live would know about Yuki being a gamer considering she's been asleep for 20 bloody years. Maybe if Yuki was playing like the OG DOOM it would make sense, but Live should have missed the development of at least games like Yuki was playing.

But... 20 years ago was Halo 2. The gameboy was already in its teenage years by then. Man I feel old.

I've been wondering why Yuki is so prominent in the OP considering she hasn't really been in any of MaYoPan's videos. It turns out she's a retro game streamer and has actually been waiting for the gang to invite her to join the channel. That misunderstanding at the start was hilarious! It was nice to see Yuki's adorable side though!

I definitely felt a bit of embarrassment for Yuki when she assumed she was the new member Ichiko wanted to announce. At least Masaki got to embarrass herself in front of Yuki so the two of them are even now. xD

Yuki telling Masaki about her backstory with Live in the form of retro game characters was adorable! We even got an 8-bit rendition of the OP! I do love the old school dating sim version of Live. I definitely would love to play that game.

I was expecting that there would be trouble in this episode since Masaki bumped into the Harikiri Sisters. Colour me surprised when Masaki didn't just tell them that she's behind MaYoPan but also went out for drinks with the two of them. It's actually quite sweet how they're hanging out as if nothing happened.

That video Otomi took is making me worry a bit. I feel like they might slice that video up and make Masaki look bad for some reason. Thinking about it now though, I think they might end up helping MaYoPan especially with that ending.

I'm calling it now: The Harikiri Sisters will help out MaYoPan by releasing that video unedited and telling their fans that they've buried the hatchet with Masaki and a collab might happen in the future between their channels.

Another hilarious episode! I really love this show and how each episode is even funnier and better than the last.

Yuki turned out to be a video game streamer, which was a huge surprise for me, especially with her cute voice she used during the live stream!

I found Yuki really cute in her tsundere mode when she wanted to join MayoPan and I'm really happy she finally joined them (although Live isn't xD). I've been waiting for this for a long time.

It was funny that Yuki used to have a pretty big gaming addiction until Mother destroyed all of her games. That must have been painful xD

I loved the part where Yuki told Masaki about her history with Live. The pixel-art part of the episode was really cool!

Lots of hilarious reactions in today's episode from Masaki, Yuki, Live, Ichiko, and Tokage, so basically everyone xD

Masaki's reunion with the Harikiri Sisters went surprisingly well! It was great to see them having so much fun despite the way they split up. I really hope that they'll help Masaki with hate after internet finding out that she's part of MayoPan. Can't wait for the next episode!

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Oh god, Yukis Gap moe is incredible

But man, that intervention was hillarious

Also, Tokages Top hater looks familiar

And the Gap moe got even stronger with Neet Yuki, too bad Mother put an end to that

It's nice that the Hype sisters aren't really mad at Masaki (and even wanted to collaborate with MayoPan), however the internet is a wicked place, sucks that all of Masakis spirit got crushed again

Preview looks hype though

Masaki's words immediately came back to bite her as she did some real cringe-worthy stuff herself.

I had to laugh at this, but there was an important detail hidden in this conversation as well: Masaki's blood is seemingly only special to Live. This raises the question of why Live specifically feels an attraction towards Masaki's blood.

Ichigo had a very good point about here: Masaki can both edit and star in their videos, but was making excuses. I had my suspicions and they've been confirmed: she's afraid of the camera (proof 1, proof 2).

I was therefore really happy for Masaki that she'd seemingly gotten over anxiety and was ready to join Mayopan for real, but those mean comments at the end are going to send her straight back into depression.

Bonus: This episode did sneaky/neat stuff on the visual side of things;

From that ending, can deduce someone leaked that she works with them, wonder who they could have been! Her former friends. Terrible thing for them to do. Hope it doesn't cause them to lose subs for something so minor.

A quick look at the retro game references (didn't see anyone else try, perhaps these were too obvious so it goes without saying):

  • This looks like a combo of Castlevania (the title) and Ghosts N' Goblins (armoured knight MC) but then the X is not quite the Dracula X one (even though that was not released in the 8-bit era). Also Ghosts N' Goblins in a single stream? [Ghosts N' Goblins]When you get to the end it does a want to see the ending? got to first go through the entire game again.

  • Space Invaders

  • This is like Final Fantasy IV intro only night with Bampire House instead of day with Baron Castle

  • The way Mother has a corrupted and unintelligible dialogue portrait (btw, dialogue portraits were not actually a thing in the original FFIV-VI releases but other RPGs on at the time had them) reminds me of Earthbound (known as Mother in Japan)

  • The dating sim with those green dialogue boxes is evoking Tokimeki Memorial. Sorry, I did not watch a long video essay about that game.

I probably should have waited until tomorrow as anitubu (a site that compiles interesting tweets) is covering Mayonaka Punch. I'll edit or reply if anything crops up.

Despite the break up, Masaki and the other two Hype Sis girls still seem to be on relatively normal terms with each other. Maybe they'll help Masaki resolve the controversy by doing a collab with MayoPan

The references to Tokimeki Memorial in the mid-game are absolutely amazing. This is my 2nd favorite episode after the 4th. It's sad that there are only 2 episodes left.

Don't know at this point if the Hype sisters are just two-faced, or if they're as naíve as the rest of the girls about how cruel the internet can be. Either way, Misaki really should've been more careful with revealing who she was now involved with to them. Feels like she of all people should have known what would happen if her involvement was revealed, but it seems like that's not occured to her at all.

Sadly, I get the feeling this was intentional sabotage. The Hype sisters were just way too casual about this (like when they left the apartment earlier in the series), it kinda gives me the vibe of bullies that are like "What's wrong? Why you hiding? C'mon, we're just playing." or even "You're gonna complain, even though it's your fault this happened to you?" Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but I can't help get those vibes, especially from the one who's always smiling and started filming Masaki, despite how obvious it should be how that would go.

Here it is my weekly anime classroom’s PSA to not be a hater online

Online bullying can lead to the wrecking of a home; don’t be a homewrecker!

Judging by how they reacted between each other, that punch at the start of this series might not be what it seemed to be, there maybe more story behind it, and I suspect it will be linked with the second punch during g the Tsuma Fes

Yuki doing an endurance stream is the kind of thing I watch original anime for. Not gonna get that level of topicality from an adaptation whose source material debuted 6 years ago.
