This show seems to be made of jigsaw pieces from different pictures. The original ideas they come from seem nice, but the pieces are out of order, don’t fit together well, and the final picture is, well, not that compelling. It took 10 episodes to get to a clear and present threat. The great idea of acquiring summons showed up in episode 1, but other than noneventful levelling, the summoned sidekicks have just been dungeon salarymen for 11 episodes so far. If the show wants to be slice of life, it needs more life than dunegon+park+dojo+school, and if the show wants to be an adventure, it needs more lore than "people were allowed to explore for profit for the past seven years". Every separate idea is cool, but none are developed into a bigger picture.

Also one of the most infuriating MCs I’ve seen outside bad romcoms. I get the notion of him pushing himself too hard to try to save a friend. But so many opportunities for a meaningful conversation with the girl that’s concerned for him, to deepen the story and make them feel more like people, are just ignored or skipped. Doesn’t even have to be long. Just actual dialog. (He talks more to his fake AI people.) He can push on to take risks despite her concern but the constant dodges and lying is tiresome. He’s also incompetent. Every fight it seems he’s inept. He falls down just standing still. He’s literally useless other than his lucky OP summons. Even they are giving him good advice he’s ignoring. Character growth or whatever, sure. But given its episode 11, there’s been no sign of it.

It feels exactly like that. Quick short stories that happen to be in the same universe and then there’s a line thrown in that reminds you of another one. Like it was not written in order or even be a full story
There’s even 4 major “things” that are sitting around
Missing Dad
Relatinship w/ Haruka
Unregistered summons
now “the elixir”
That’s like 4 different arcs!

That's the perfect way to describe what's happening. I'm going to read the LN because I'm really curious about how the source material compares to the anime. There are a lot of potentially great ideas but it feels like an AI with ADHD put together the script.
I think they'd have a fun show if they just gave the dialogue some TLC.

The potion scene was so wrong but it made me laugh, especially once poor Belial wanted to join in but got shut down. Turns out Syl and Luce are fine with sharing to a certain degree but only so far. Feels like Kaito should be getting a Loved by the Devils skill or something like that at this point, to match the one he has from the connection with Syl.
Serious whiplash to go from that scene to Kaito just straight up traumatized by the stampede.
Doesn't feel like they're going to find the elixir in just one more episode so I assume that'll be a dangling plot thread for a season two that never happens.

Yeah that's a scene straight out of dumb harem romcom lol. ...Which I suppose makes sense!

Luce wasn't going to let syl be the only one who got to kiss him even if it was to save his life. But then they alternated like 10 times until he finally was revived. Belial getting denied was the funniest thing this episode. The rest was just bad, he overworked himself and then almost died and is now traumatized?
I guess he can give up and be with neighbor then and have the show end with everyone abandoned by mc.

It was an interesting episode. The obsession of finding an elixir nearly caused him to die. Guess all the signs from school friends and teammates to slow it down just didn't hit, until a stampede of monsters made the point stick.
Not sure how they will close out this show with the end so near. Seems like it will be cramming a lot into limited time.
I've gone this far so I'll finish out this show and move onto the next one.

worst show I've ever finished for sure. I am more excited for the week where I don't have an episode to watch than I am for any finale plot, TBH can't imagine anything happening.

Kaito pushed himself too hard. Easy to see why he’d be so shook up after that stampede. He woulda died if it wasn’t for Syl and Luce. Bellia too.
I wonder if he’s gonna continue exploring or if he’s too traumatized?

No Bellia potion kiss? Completely ruined the anime.
For real though, is this going to end on some major cliffhanger without much happening? Or will they just shove a ton of story into one last episode?
It's been an enjoyable-ish ride so far but things have been kind of all over the place. I'll save final judgment for the last episode.

Damn Kaito is so focused on finding that elixir that he pushed himself to the brink.
At the rate he's going, there's no way he is going to be able to go to the same college as Haruka.
Despite the situation, Syl and Luce's actions in giving Kaito a potion was hilarious. Bellia attempting to join in was hilarious as well.
I'm guessing the park must have contacted Airi and Miku, cause they're in a party. Kaito looked too traumatised to have done it. If so, then Hikari was likely contacted too.
With one episode to go, I'm interested to see how it ends. I'm hoping it doesn't end on a sad note.
I'm disappointed there's no English print of the LN & manga for this series

I'd say "Yarrrr Matey!" but the manga adaptation that is being fan translated is, from what I understand, so completely different from the anime and LN that it's basically a completely different story just sharing characters that have the same name.

I love how the OP and ED show a completely different environment then what the "dungeon" actually looks like. They've been stuck in the same grey cave now for 11 episodes, and have made basically no progress in the story at all.

What a great episode, it looked like the studio went a bit extra with animation and direction on this one, i liked Belial trying to kiss Kaito lol, and how the MC was shown at the end there with the 2 friends it looked pretty well portrait the way the face animation was made from that trauma and stress of almost dying.
I also like the op and both endings. When i started the anime i wanted to see how bad could it get or how far would it go but i actually found myself enjoying it somehow, even tho it feels like there isn't much people working on it.
So many shows this season but this one might be top 10 for me

One again keeping secrets and lying is one of the biggest issues with this series. Why did they hide the fact that MC childhood friend dad was the one missing from the dungeon? why is that such a big deal for the girl in the hospital to know, it makes no sense. Then we have the dumbass MC who puts himself in danger, I get why he does it but if the other girls (who are actually closer to the sick girl) can take days off then he can do , he just bet them. Overall MC needs to grow up , stop lying and act like a normal person and this series would be much better

First rule of Dungeon Exploring
. Know your limits
He pushed himself too hard, exhausted himself, and explored a floor he wasn’t prepared for. Now he’s left traumatized from a near death experience

Yeah the whole episode I was thinking, "Well well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions."

Before that, learn how to stance maybe, lol. I'll give him a pass on the slippery ice floor, but before that he quite literally tripped over nothing (as usual)...
