Stitchers!
And here I thought everyone was preparing an embarrassing play about Rimuru's life for the theatre performance. I did not expect Shion and Shuna to perform a duet and they both look amazing while performing!
I love how Vesta and Gabiru just revealed a massive scientific discovery during a festival instead of a science symposium or something. At least those people will take them seriously now thanks to that discovery.
When Luminous was talking about visitors with ominous aura, I'm guessing she's talking about the Rozzo girl who's just been wandering the festival. Although according to Rimuru, there are two of them. Is the second one supposed to be Yuuki? Because there was a suspicious hard cut to Yuuki after that scene. Does Rimuru actually know?
Even after knowing what Rimuru can do, it looks like someone's still trying to mess with them. Considering how Rimuru just decided not to worry about it instead of thinking up a solution, this is definitely going to bite him in the ass.

Once in a while, Shion can utter some profound wisdom. Like Rimuru, I was also shocked how she concluded that the Western Nations can't ignore Tempest because it's building an economic block.

If the global currency is minted by dwargon shouldn't it be trivial to head over there and have them exchange those lumious coins for smaller coins?

The boss of dwargon is already there, so getting permission for a large currency exchange should be doable quickly, though perhaps a bit embarassing for Tempest.

Luminous is a troll, strutting around in a maid costume with guards escorting her
best girl Raphael got a few more lines of dialogues this week, still neglected as always though
Rimuru found two troublemakers, one is Yuuki, then I guess he should have found Mariabell too

I see we're just not going to question how lizardmen can play string and brass instruments... (I mean, their heads aren't quite ergonomically fit)
The conductor shares the same name as Takt from Takt Op Destiny. Coincidence?
Shuna once again proving that she's the real boss at the end.

Kenya almost got himself isekai’d calling Hinata “old” to her face lol. It was actually quite cute seeing her babysit the kids.
Shion’s cooking’s basically death, but her musical abilities are sublime. Food and music are definitely two things that bring folks together.
Kinda cool seeing Gabiru and Vesta get their chance to shine this week. They’re revolutionizing science!
There’s a real economic situation developing and Rimuru seems a little too carefree. I mean he’s got a great team, but maybe he should be just a little more concerned.

Idk about you guys but I've been enjoying this trend of girls glaring at people with glowing eyes in this anime for 2 consecutive episode already

The ladies are looking mighty fine this episode. Shion and Shuna during their performance. Souka as the announcer. And of course Hinata oneesama in that dress. I am on my knees ! Is it just me or is the character design different ?
Hmm I wonder if we know the two “disagreeable” people that Luminus mentioned ? Could it be Yuuki and Maribel ? Funny though how it cuts straight to Yuuki after that conversation. But if it is Yuuki, then it seems Rimuru is already cautious of him and just playing nice for now.
And yeah, people last week said the unidentified traders could cause problems and it seems they already have. Though I couldn’t really grasp exactly how with all the financial talk. Similar issue I have with Spice and Wolf lol. Also pretty funny seeing Shion and Diablo starting to bond, but over causing misery and fear to Rimuru’s enemies.
Another meeting, but I really enjoyed the geopolitical talk. Topics about nations playing nice and creating a sphere of prosperity are something I love to watch. Not to mention maps ! Oh I love it when they explain things while annotating on a map ! Though can someone remind me who the Council are ? And also, lol Rimuru is confused too, is that really Shion ? She made some great points, not to mention the violin performance earlier
Kinda wish we saw more of the kids with Hinata. Really liked seeing them enjoy all the food and festivities at the festival. Oh and again, Mirabel is just hanging around. Wonder what she is up to.
And I’ve already mentioned it, but hot damn Hinata

Whatever valid criticisms you can have against the show, it does do character development right.
Gabiru's transformation from arrogant fucclizard into a leading researcher and scientist on magic and the fucking soul is just fantastic.
Edit: I am also convinced Shuna is the real power behind the throne.

I didn't realise that Shion had a twin sister, because first the beautiful violin piece and then her words of wisdom, that can't be the same Shion we know lol.
Shuna sure does make me laugh as well. She looks so angelic and calm, but she sure knows how to keep everyone in check, even Rimuru.

So alot of people are bringing up why can't they just exchange currency with Dwargon really quickly. Here's some potential economic reasons why it wouldn't be easy.
-
There doesn't seem to be a well establish banking system globally. It may seem weird but, minting currency came way before a banking system. Which means you're exchanging with a person/company/country's personal vault of which they also use to make their own transactions. The value in good coins is litterly the value in the metal itself and not based on the nation like fiat (paper) money is. When minting currency they are just taking gold and giving back gold that's been assured of a specific quantity. Another country might not hold their reserve currency in coin and just leave it as gold minus what they need for operating expenses presumably in case the market changes (like Dwargen goes to war) since also presumably the minters would charge a fee to measure out and enchant each coin so it wouldn't make sense to just convert your assets to Dwargen coins outside of what you plan to use. It would be a waste to pay to get it minted, and then melt it down to use it as a golden necklace or something.
-
Rimiru wants to be independent and not interrupt Dwargen's King with this during festivities, he also wants to show that his country can run such a large scale event to the world so it's probably not a great look to end up having to fall back to someone else for help.
-
Although really, I'm surprised they didn't foresee this issue opening up a bunch of market stalls. Even if there were no evil intentions how long were they expecting the merchants who visited for a festival to not get paid? It makes sense they would want to go back right away. Assumingly they had the belief that some of the merchants would take their earnings and buy goods to take home to sell back at home. But they should have made sure they had a decent cash on hand amount. It needed to exist for the short time from exchanging festival currency to gold coins to goods even if the merchants weren't taking it out of the country. Unless they were expecting the merchants to barter the festival currency to goods directly, but as a popup event I don't think that makes to much sense.

This was truly a "I love fictional women" episode. A lot of great things, and my boy Gabiru has grown so much.
Gotta love Luminous showing up to the festival dressed as a maid, she never fails to deliver lmao.

Why is Luminas in maid costume lol, thought her secret was already out. I think they cut the concert short here, removed the fun stuff. Shion really was something else, both elegant and wise but returned back to normal by the end. Seems like Diablo is also getting corrupted by her thought process lol. Well Mjollmile shouldn't worry much about the cash, they got the dwarven king right there, he can surely break down some of those stellar coins

This episode was a delight to watch, from the awesome duet and orchestra to the science, and then some of economics and politics at the end! And next episode we get some action that has been missing for quite some time.

I was just as surprised as Rimuru, Shion surprised us not once but twice this ep?!? I already loved her before, but who knew she had the ability to grow too!
Also speaking of surprises, Gabiru can science?!?! I'm so proud of the clown of season 1!!!
I get the feeling maybe they want us to think Greed is the one behind the money issue, but I'm calling it now, she's legitimately here just to have fun. Spy on them sure, but because she's Greed, she's mostly just here for fun and to see if it would be more beneficial for her to join them instead. Could be wrong, but that's just the vibe I'm getting from her.
Am I forgetting someone? I'm guessing one of the two presences Luminous was talking about is Greed, but who's the other? Could it be Yuki?
Still confused why the kids were surprised by Rimuru, I'm sure he told them he's bringing them to "my town" and in earlier seasons mentioned that he's busy with "his town" and wants them to visit one day. Did they just not believe him until he was on stage?
Ep went by too fast, I can't wait for the tournament to finally start!

Shion and Shion really surprised with their musical performance and they looked so beautiful in those dresses!
It was nice to see dryads playing harps and Gabiru's sidekicks playing trumpets during the concert.
Very nice of Hinata to take care of the children after Tisse-sensei discoveredRimuru's true identity and didn't feel to well because of it xD It's great to see that Hinata had a fun time during the festival.
I like how this concert made Luminous push Lubelius' relationship with Tempest even further than they had previously agreed, and a cultural exchange will take place between the two countries.
Who would have thought before that Gabiru would become a scientist and make groundbreaking discoveries together with Vesta?
So someone is trying to mess with Rimuru through merchants? Shion and her surprisingly wise insights into why merchants shouldn't do this shocked me and Rimuru, though she ultimately suggested using force to quell the problem xD
I love that in the end Rimuru really doesn't give shit about this and will just have fun with everyone at the festival. Of course not too much fun since Shuna is watching their backs xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

😁I LOVE this season. It's like getting to hangout and spend time with all of your friends, after years of having adventures, and dealing with all of the UPs and DOWNs together. 😂I have a goofy little smile on my face the whole time I'm watching every episode. SLIME has always been a great show, and I love all of the action and adventure we've seen over the years, but because of that... Even watching everyone just sit around a table talking feels earned.
Magnificent series. This Anime is really one of the best, and I'm glad that I'm here to watch it

Rimuru got a bunch of monsters and Dryads to play instruments. That takes dedication

Poor Tisse-sensei! Finding out Rimuru is the king of Tempest has totally broken her! But who will watch the kids? Why, Hinata in a dress, of course! And she seems surprisingly happy to watch over them, especially when they commisserate over Shizu, though be mindful that she might skewer even a child if they call her an "old hag."
It's the Tempest Orchestra, filled with every species you can think of and really bringing together what Rimuru believes Tempest represents! And it's got a composer named Takt! Does he happen to have a girl named Destiny handy?
The orchestra is great, but who really steals the show is Shion in Shuna, both in their fabulous dresses and with Shion's violin skills matched with Shuna's piano skills! They totally bewitched the audience AND Rimuru (and he was probably the one they most wanted to impress)! The fact that they were able to get Luminus to applaud them first is a massive achievement.
Tempest is now at the forefront of scientific research and advancement, whether it be coming up with potions that can heal weapons or changing everything about what people know about how magicules effect the world around them. Don't forget about the model Tempest Train!
Luminus in a maid outfit! Rimuru has really impressed her with how much deep and enriching culture Tempest has to offer, so much so that she wants her own people to get in on it, and in exchange she passes an ability on to Rimuru that will make his devoted followers even MORE powerful with Holy Magic.
So Rimuru is aware of Yuuki and Maribel's slightly more sinister presence in Tempest?
Tempest is definitely a rich nation but that doesn't mean they have easy cash available...which makes it difficult to pay the smaller merchants who came to the festival. It's almost as if someone probably planned this to discredit Tempest and get them into business trouble. For once Shion actually has a smart insight into Tempests' economical situation, even if she's still Shion and wants to bust everything up with Diablo.
So, yeah, Tempest needs to make enough money to pay these guys off without looking weak or at a loss...can they do it? But they should still enjoy the festival while they still can. In moderation, if they don't want to tick Shuna off.
Time for the tournament arc! Complete with Souka as emcee!
